Oh I would - but it's a 90 minute drive at a minimum just to get there - would probably spend more on fuel returning them... they actually look really good - but they'll be a tangled mess. lol

Hi Mel I went to Cost co with my son in Wales 2 weeks ago in Wales as it's a supermarket he likes. He often does grocery shopping just like his dad used to before his stroke. He likes to cook just like his dad did too. As he has his own business he can take calls on the go so I was able to spend a good but of time with him in my 8 days in Wales and he took me out to eat 3 times as well. Such a lovely time spent together with my family. I,m not keen on the weather there though . I ended up catching a nasty chest infection . I stayed with a friend the first few days in Wales and went crazy buying food and drink etc . When I got to check out it was 189 English pounds which was a crazy amount for 2 people for a few days. Whoops. December hasn't been a cheap month so far as to top everything I hit my car on the corner of a small wall costing me 500 euros to repair and respray. Ouch ! This was after I had splashed out on a hotel stay here in Cyprus too. I have put everything in perspective though as my dear friends baby has a serious head injury and we have all been praying for a good outcome. She is 22 months. She is now concious but cannot see yet because of the swelling but responding to mamma and moving her limbs. We are making sure the family has good support. Mamma is in her mid twenties and I love her so much. She gave me such great support when my Spyros was suffering last year. To her I am her Auntie Margaret even though we are no relation. I think things will be OK . Your videos help when times are tough and I am not sleeping too well. Thank you. You always manage to cheer me up. I also know things get really tough for you sometimes. I appreciate you Mel❤
I watched a video the other day that used Costco as an example. It was about how ads and stores prey on anxiety because they try to pressure you to make quick choices because it might not be there next week because they either rotate out so quick like the pallets of stuff at costco or by intentionally low or back ordering necessities so you buy other stuff they do have because you might not be able to get it later. They were showing the almost empty bread shelves where they were only stocking more expensive brands.
That's really interesting! It's crazy how stores and ads manipulate our anxieties to make us feel like we need to buy something right away. It's important to be aware of these tactics and make mindful choices when shopping.
I know I always grab a $14,000 ring with my $6 chook at Costco 😂

Yeah it’s a little tricky to compare, you’d need to compare wages & income of both countries, cost of living (rent, rates, taxes, medical) for eg average AUS wage is higher than US wages etc etc. but yes the prices of some things have risen and it is squeezing the coin purse 👛 great video, I need to get to Costco ❤

I wonder if the conversion makes it look more expensive? The current conversion is $1aud is equal to 0.52 pound sterling....so half the cost of everything I think. (I was actually shocked at that conversion - it used to be about 35 pound sterling... the AUD is strong right now apparently.
I went to costco the other day too and really had to refrain from going crazy due to lack of funds. I'm closest to the Canberra costco but still over an hour away. I always get the new york strip steak slab. Best steak of your life and works out so cost effective if you slice it up. Bulk nappies has always been a big one for me too. The taco seasoning and the everyrhing bagel seasoning.
I just got the aldi coffee machine fir $400 after eyeing off the one at costco, so glad I saved the money. Also got mum a different machine for xmas on sale for $350.

My husband and I have a self imposed Costco ban. We know we’d love it but we can’t the trusted and would buy too much and stash it somewhere in our overfilled garage (because the kitchen is too small!) and forget about it.

I really enjoyed that! I'm very impressed with the huge packs of everything because you never see anything like that here in the UK. If you went around our supermarkets you'd have a right laugh Mel - it looks as though we are all still on WW2 rations 🤣🤣🤣

That was a really good haul! I like similar foods that your family likes too. We don't have a Costco nearby, but do go to our local Sam's Club. They are very similar in what they carry and what things cost. Now, how do I know you're Australian for real?😆 When I go to Sam's I usually pick up a rotisserie chicken too AKA Chook! That was so cute! lol
