Point is, that's the brownlow, players who we wouldn't expect, get votes & others dont.. most players will tell you that the biggest award each year is the player who wins the best & fairest in the premiership team.
@@taxads7791 it's interesting that we're talking about 2 highly skilled, gifted footballers who were also known for their thuggery...it's for the best AND fairest...maybe that's why they didn't get the votes?...and you can't tell me that umpires aren't influenced by the player's attitudes to them in game...if someone's calling me a maggot or a dickhead all day at my work he's unlikely to be on the Christmas card list
