Also, their fighting formation is different from what you'd see on a medieval battlefield, even if you account for the smaller numbers.
Yeah, especially when nobody on the field really has the skill to counteract big size differences. I'm sure these guys train physically and do a bit of sparing, but they all have jobs outside of this. You'd need to be a full fledged knight to have the competence needed to take someone much bigger than you without a sizeable amount of luck
