I think he's referring to the Clancy tour finishing out the storyline. But I *want* him to be referring to a double album.

That's what I've been thinking for a while. It's over six minutes, so it should be enough time to properly close out the story they've been telling with their music videos.

I’m hoping it’s a mix of both worlds, while blurry face and trench have 14 songs, Clancy has 13… or will the 14th song come as a single after may the 24th? We’ll see I guess

Im on board with Justins theory of getting a suprize 14th song and mv after the album like outside was.
but if that's the case, that one song wouldn't be on any of the vinyl. like it wouldn't be attached to the actual album. feels weird that in order to finish this massive story spanning multiple albums, you'd have to play Clancy in its entirety, and then queue up a random standalone song.

@@carlinschneider6831 great point. They may re-release other vinyls, but I see your point. We're def not getting a double album. I don't see that happening given the fact they're a lil behind on this album release. We also are technically getting 14 songs with the two versions of the craving. the tour is another great theory of the end of the story. There's also a chance we'll just be getting another lore album in 2027.
Ned's Cozy Fireplace is an anagram for Clancy Seized for EP. I predict that in Paladin Strait Clancy will end up getting seized by the bishops ending in some sort of cliff hanger or unhappy ending. But then eventually they will release an EP with the true final battle!! What do you guys think?

They’re delaying the album to finish shooting music videos for every song on the album. If a song got popular after, they’d just use that music video. Look at “Stressed Out” the video was very low budget and was the song of 2016

I really think he just stumbled on his words. “After” the album is out, as in, “when” it’s out, we’ll have all the pieces together as to what happens in the story. At least that’s how I interpret it.

I think something after the album would be amazing and definitely possible, but we also have to keep in mind that Tyler could’ve just misspoken. It’s happened before

Personally I love the idea of of a double album but I just don't see them doing it. They've only ever done a deluxe with vessel and that was with songs that they already released. Also the fact that Tyler has spoken so strongly about wanting to do a music video for each song seems crazy for them to get it all done in 2ish months. Know these guys have a fan base so they def have people pushing them to work out all those music videos but from my experience it takes forever to make a short film and making a 13x2 track album with a video for each one in 2 months is insane and I'd think impossible. If I have to guess it's just them saying that the song with 2 music videos is getting it's second one released later in the day. If that makes sense.
I mean he said that he continued writing music right after scaled and icy was produced, so in the span of 3-4 years it is imagineable that he was able to produce more than 13 clancy songs, but I think its like you think with the some extra music videos
Ed sheeran writes a couple songs a day on average and had 200+ songs written for one of his records, if I remember correctly. He then chose the best ones for the album of course. Just saying that "working on music" for 3-4 years could still lead to releasing "only" 13 songs to the public 🤷♂️ So the timeframe isn't really a clue for us.

When I heard him say that I assumed there would be a bonus track version (which I've thought for a little while) and a mv for the bonus track(s). Or he could be referring to the 14th mv for Clancy (meaning one song gets two mvs (maybe Paladin Strait))
Occam’s Razor, The simplest solution is often to correct one. they’re filming two music videos, likely a cheap one for Paladin Strait and then master we get a highly produced and funded one for Paladin Strait. OR less likely than that but more likely than another album, the finally will be its own single.

I doubt the final battle and ending will be just one extra song/music video. If they're releasing all MVs now, I'm sure something bigger will come afterwards. Either another album with a few singles/videos dropping over time or some sort of a short movie kind of like I am Clancy but longer.
Might be just wishful thinking haha. Either way the 24th won't be the end and I'm excited to see how it unfolds!

I would absolutely love a double album, but I don’t think they’ll do it most likely. Hard to imagine future music videos after the 24th tho. Also hard to imagine the live show actually having something to finish the story since usually live visuals or moments are more symbolic than anything else.
I see a lot of stretches made in this fan base but this is by far the biggest one.

I would love to see a double album! I also think the comment might be leaving the door open for another album altogether. Not necessarily a “Clancy: Part 2”, but more of an album called “The Final Battle” (only an example, not a leak 😂).
I saw the interview and i didnt think much of the "after the album drops" i just thought that he meant that one of the songs in the album had a music video or the lyrics were about the final battle. But after watching this video, my mind has changed

At the end of the overcompensate video we see Tyler has his little smirk and he’s holding a torch, then we hear the fire to along with the ending. I believe Clancy was getting ready for the final battle and that fire sound we hear at the end is all of the bishops getting ready with Tyler. Since Tyler is Clancy, Clancy is the leader of the bishops and all of the bishops gather with Clancy to go against the bishop. That may be why Next Semester and Backslide those videos hold important messages along with the videos but isn’t lore related.
I don’t even think he really means “after”. I think he just means once the album/music vids drop on the 24th we’ll know everything.
Personally I hope that the tour theory is correct. That would be so amazing to to see the story finish live! 😮

Remember! Ned’s cozy fireplace was refigured into “Clancy seized for EP” when trying to find clues within that video. So there could be an ep rather than a full album to finish off the story. And could be realesed shortly after the album when no one expects it🤷♂️

Second album: Clancy (Tyler's version)
I’m posting this a few days after the album dropped, and they’re releasing the video for Paladin in early June. It’s my hope that the final battle will unfold in that video, which I believe is what was teased at the end of the placeholder video for the song. I’m hoping this is the case because I’m not a fan of the double album theory. I thought Paladin would be the finale to the “Dema” arc, and the final confrontation between Clancy and Nico would occur in the upcoming video. Guess we’ll have to wait and see. So excited though ❤🎉
I actually made this theory on the twenty one pilots discord theory forum page. I made it on March 1st. I do not believe that Clancy was made in one year. This album most definitely has been on the back burner since at least early to mid-2019. So when I saw "only" 13 tracks I was a bit skeptical. I believe there is more than meets the eye to all of this and I still believe that we will possibly be getting a Clancy part 2.

Yes - the first was Scaled and Icy, the second was Clancy
There’s just no way there is a double album. Based on Trench, SAI, and now Clancy, we know about how long it takes Tyler to produce an album with this workflow (mostly himself with Paul Meany’s help). Especially with him being a dad to multiple kids now, it’s only safe to assume he has less time on his hands too. I don’t see how enough time has passed for him to have two LPs worth of material.

This is stretching. He means after the album drops. Like the lore music videos will drop and conclude the story. Think, the opposite of his statement would be “before” which doesn’t make any sense, so the obvious choice of word is “after”.

I think what Tyler meant by that statement was that the final battle will play out after the record drops. The story of Clancy is the final battle and obviously we won’t know the whole story until it drops. I feel like interpreting that any other way is just reaching.

I think he’s saying the storyline of Clancy vs Blurryface will be over after the album comes out bc it will take place on the album or the tour. It’s not rocket science. But this is just my counter theory to your theory.

A double album would have been absolutely perfect (and more believable) for sai considering it was dema propaganda and the second album would have given us more insight into what was really going on but I won’t say no to a second album 🫣
