  • We take a quick look at the basic functionality between the factory ‪@sigsauerinc‬ Flat trigger and the ‪@MCARBO‬ P365 Macro Short Stroke Trigger . No accuracy or shooting comparison since the Macro Comp with the Short Stroke also has the MCarbo spring kit and a DPM Recoil Reduction System installed plus optics are not comparable.

    People don't seem to understand. Pre-travel is there to disengage the striker block, it is a safety function and part of the drop safety for the gun. Leave the pre-travel as is so you have a full striker block safety.

      I hope most people already know that but it’s a conscious choice we make to understand that’s something we altering right. Just like anything, don’t wear a seatbelt? We making the choice to alter our chances of living if we’re in a car accident. So again I would assume most people would have already researched or have the knowledge of what they’re altering. My video is just to cover the feel and function between these 2.

      For a "game gun" sure, take off that seatbelt. For a defensive CCW it is wise to leave it as is. Just like it is wise to wear a seatbelt. I have a very dialed 320, it isn't a carry gun. My 365 is left with pre-travel in place. @@PhatTactical

      @@ErikS308I can agree with that. I think an EDC should be closer to factory. You never want to depend on your life with something so altered. You just never know

      Case in point: picked up the VEX trigger shoe from RangerProof/Johnny Glock to put in my 19X, installed it using all OEM parts aside from the VEX shoe, went through 76 rounds before I picked my jaw up because it went full binary because the internal safeties were prematurely disengaged. They should rename that thing to the 'Pucker Factor.' Spoke with Andy Bell afterward and told him what happened... he ghosted. Johnny Glock did the same. Told me everything I needed to know about those two companies. Food for thought.

      There have been multiple people worried about this issue and have checked the mcarbo trigger to see if the striker block is still retaining the firing pin and it is. I saw the information on reddit

    I noticed once you pull the first trigger pull there is no pre travel on the second pull, i believe the pre travel on the first pull is a safety mechanism. The stock trigger on this pistol is actually pretty good with very short reset and take up after first trigger pull. Get really good rapid fire synergistically with the comp and full grip, my favorite edc ccw.

    • @PhatTactical
      @PhatTactical  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Yes i believe i mentioned that...the stock is nice! i prefer the mcarbo for the short pre travel all the time BUT its also thinner and i have bigger/longer fingers that sometimes catch the thicker triggers and almost always on the curved triggers.

    Pre-travel doesn't matter...it legitimately does not hinder you in any way. The ONLY thing that can throw your shot is a really heavy trigger. As for speed, you want a quick reset, and most of these triggers don't do jack about the reset. The stock P365 actually has a smooth trigger (once broken in), and a light pull weight, but god damn that reset makes it awkward to shoot quickly.

      I think too much pre travel can affect your shot also tho. Too much space/time that allows a new shooter to pickup more lbs of pressure vs a trigger with super short pretravel…now of course an experienced shooter it shouldn’t make a difference

    I would like to know why M-CARBO made the actual trigger so, so skinny. It does not exude confidence. It exudes fear of it snapping off. It is not only skinny, but it is also not structural in cross section. It is a skinny, flat piece, which is the weakest structural shape.

    • @PhatTactical
      @PhatTactical  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Having fatter fingers, I like the thinness of it .. I’d only worry about snapping it if you’re leaking acid from your finger or if you’re using Incredible Hulk strength…not Bruce banner strength but like Hulk smash big green Incredible Hulk strength.

    Was the install hard for the mcarbo trigger?

    • @PhatTactical
      @PhatTactical  Před 9 měsíci

      It wasn’t hard but it wasn’t easy lol my macro had some parts that didn’t look like the parts in the couple install videos that are out there so I want to do one. But being that it was my 1st time working on the FCU , I didn’t want to make one and it confuse others or show me struggling..I may take apart and do it again tho

    What's the safety of this gun?

    • @PhatTactical
      @PhatTactical  Před 3 měsíci

      This version has no safety but it is available with a manual safety switch if you choose to get that version

    mcarbo pay you? i installed the mcarbo in an icarus build, mcarbo ADDRESSES UPTAKE, the other two aftermarket flat triggers address travel...............the AFTER TRAVEL, travel after you think you hit the wall is between an 1/8 to 1/4 inch and it is disturbing ...hoping a trigger polish will address it, but the after travel sucks for the amount of dough spent....dont just look at the cost of the trigger, you will need a gun smith

    • @PhatTactical
      @PhatTactical  Před 5 měsíci

      Nobody pays me, would be nice tho lol I’m just a regular dude posting videos that might be helpful to others. I really haven’t noticed any issues with the “after travel” atleast it’s not something I was looking at. I like shorter pre travel distances and that’s why I went with this one.
