Wouldn't really say that, the Nuggets were just plain better. Their roster is constructed to be more depth than talent and that's the ultimate downfall of many contenders. Reason is because the playoffs restrict the team's limits to their starters and relies more on their stars than depth. 2018 Raptors case in point lmao

The team as a whole is stagnant now with little chance of reaching their prime years. Middleton is still rusty, Lopez is getting older, and Giannis is just not gonna have that shot. Jrue, for all the slack he was given, was literally forced to guard Butler or a bigger player for most of the series. The man did what he could, it's just that Bud didn't make his job any easier.
Bud fumbled a lot of things, but this is just a sign that they're not going to be competing against top teams with this shaky of a foundation. All I'm saying is, if the Bucks chose to rebuild and your team is not the Bucks, friggin' loot them for all they're worth. They got a lot of depth to take.

Fun stat, the Lakers lost in the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 1998. Which means that in that stretch, if they won the Semifinals, they were practically a lock for the Finals.

Heat: Ran outta gas, I feel like having to do the play in, plus going hard to beat the bucks and Knicks, then going to 7 with the Cs, by the time they made it to finals you can tell they were just cooked, outta the whole playoff run their worst shooting happened in the finals. If they shot the way they shot previously Heat are the champs, but between being gassed and Joker abusing Bam like a red headed stepchild they had no chance.
If they shot like how they shot I think they still lose but in 6 or 7
Don’t forget nuggets were also shooting crazy from 3 the whole playoff not like the heat but good
Obviously a disappointing season for a Sixer fan but overall this was the most wild NBA season in a long time. Emotional roller coaster start to finish, crazy drama, unpredictable playoff runs, can't ask for more.

True story. When the T Wolves traded all of that to Danny Ainge for Gobert, I checked to see if Kevin McHale still had any juice in Minnesota's front office. Pistons got screwed, but once you realize the NBA is going to need a new face when LeBron is gone, Wembanyama to the Spurs makes all the sense in the world. That's why the league is freaking out about Morant having guns. Wembanyama's borderline cruiserweight at 7'4-7'5 though, so there's a good chance he'll go the way of Chet Holmgren. Speaking of which, the Thunder are going to need to get a Draymond type of player and SGA has to magically become a 3 point shooter or the small ball 5 out thing isn't going to work as far as competing for a championship. They got absolutely smashed by Minnesota, and the same thing would've happened against LA or Denver. Maybe they think Giddy can be Draymond, but I don't see it. Draymond was a DPOY candidate yearly, and that was a major reason it worked. Holmgren has a diverse skill set they need at PF/C, but same thing goes defensively. Plus, I doubt he stays healthy. They like to compare these guys to KD, but don't realize that KD is 6'10 and weighed over 210 coming into the league. These guys are lighter and over 7 feet. Teams are still trying to copy the Warriors, but I honestly think that offense is dying. Watching it transpire, I think the first death nell was the Lakers series in the playoffs. Golden State had to change how they played, and I think Kerr came to that realization after the 3rd game of the series. I don't think it's a coincidence that Bob Myers left, and Chris Paul is now on their roster.
