      Rob F he didn’t praise him. He said he’s smart and therefore literally “a total waste of humanity”. Ted had to go back to his cell and contemplate those words.. that he had potential that he himself wasted.. every night for a decade after that. The judge didn’t appeal to his sense of remorse to the people that he hurt. That was pointless. He appealed to his sense of remorse to hurting himself, the only one he cared about. And I bet its the most painful thing anyone psychologically could do. That was verbal slaughter.

      It is utterly chilling that a Judge would somehow find compliments for a mass murdering brutal rapist and psychopath. Goes to show that Psychopaths can fool literally anyone. He gave him the death penalty but seemed to feel some kind of weird guilt that he had passed the sentence at the end.

    • @mojopin70
      @mojopin70 Před 5 lety +45

      He was also objectively fooled by the very same murderous psychopath that had charmed women in a similar manner, he represented himself for his own sick gratification nothing more, not because he could argue against cold hard evidence and charm a Judge. If that Judge had been a pretty woman in another situation on a highway hitching a lift Bundy would've picked her up charmed her, strangled her ,raped her anally and then mutilated her body like the other victims. The Judge was irrational not objective, his irrational feelings of guilt are blindly obvious but not his fault since Bundy was a master at charming people.

    It wasn't that the judge was caught up in Bundy's charms. It was quite to the contrary. He was pointing out to Bundy how dramatically different his life could have turned out, had he chosen to practice law and live within the confines of the law. The judge chose to state this out of compassion and sorrow, from one human being to another. Issuing a death sentence is no easy matter, no matter how much someone deserves it. And at the end of the day, it didn't change the fact that the judge felt that weight upon his shoulders, as I am sure he did many others. Don't misunderstand me, Bundy deserved the sentence that he was given. I'm only saying that judges are human, too. They have the ability to express compassion, even to the most heinous of offenders. I believe the moment that we cease to show compassion, our effectiveness as law enforcement officers, attorneys, and others courtroom actors will preclude us from being interested in the truth or doing what is right any longer. Many call Bundy a "monster", and on some levels, he was. However, at the end of the day, he was just a man, who was caught and arrested by men, tired by men, and sentenced to death by a man.

      Elisa Mastromarino Western zodiacs are not concerned with the future and what will happen, they put persons who are born on a specific date into a category which defines their character and their interests. Nothing more. I am not interested in Chinese zodiacs because my interests only is to know the character of the person I deal with. Sagittarius man is not like Scorpio man as interests and behaviors. Nothin' more. And I don't like wasting my time in other zodiacs talking because I don't believe in it. They knows nothin' about the future. I hope you get it. Western zodiacs are concerned with the character. I don't care about anything more than this. And you have the freedom to believe or not to believe like the religious believes.

    • @elisamastromarino7123
      @elisamastromarino7123 Před 8 lety

      Have a nice time! But, what do you base your belief system on? Do you believe that the Western zodiac is true, at least in part, because of scientific reasoning or just from your experience? Because I have noticed the Chinese Zodiac... and I think there can be some interest in what year we were born as well. As you probably know, the Chinese zodiac goes by the year you were born and follows every 7 years. For example, I was born in a certain year of the rabbit. My dad was also born in the year of the rabbit of course 35 years before me, but none the less we were born in the year of the rabbit. I am his only child that was born in the year of the rabbit under the Chinese zodiac and I am also the only child that ended up looking like him and also acting like him. I think it's probably coincidence but it makes me wonder if the moon, the tides, the Sun Etc don't actually play a Part in how we are or how we become. The Earth is 70% water and the human body is 60% water. Scientifically speaking, is it not possible that one effects the other?

    • @haveanicetime
      @haveanicetime Před 8 lety

      Elisa Mastromarino Thank you, your points are very good. Actually I am not interested in Chinese zodiacs because my target is to know how to deal with the other people who are different from you and nothin' more. Western zodiacs are only concerned with general behavior in life, your targets, your interests, your major merits and demerits only and nothin' more. This is according to your birthday. The second part is the representative system, how you receive the information, visual imagination or audio or feeling. These are three systems and you have one of them as the dominant. If you are visual, you only concerned with the global image of somethin' not with the details of it. If you are audio, you are sensitive to sounds and you like talking to people and asking them a lot. If you are a feeler, you are concerned with the feelings towards somethin' and the details of it. The 3rd part is the type of your character, leader, thinker, affectionate and expressive. Everybody have 3 ..a zodiac, a representative system and a character type. This affects your behavior by your own choice not by the coincident events or the moon and the sun. I only know that the sun is for giving us the solar power, the moon for another function,......You decide, you choose your way...you are free...I have personal experience in these kinda situations, I had problems with visual people because I am feeler, and with the zodiacs that are not compatible with me specially Libra because our interests are completely different and so on. So, I have decided to read about zodiacs and the human development science. That's it ! :D please if it is possible, tell me your birthday date and your father to tell you my little opinion :). Thanks

      +lonelyheroine Yep, the judge died of a heart attack before Bundy died. I think he had no choice under the law but to hand down the death sentence. I think, despite the horrific crimes Bundy committed this decision lay heavy on the heart of the judge. He could see the tragedy of Bundy himself. The waste of a fine young man. I don't believe in the death penalty. Had Bundy lived, he would have been an old man by now. He was born in 1946 and today would have been 69 this coming November. Because he died young and still handsome, he has erroneously become a poster boy for serial murder. Had he been placed in a secure psychiatric institution, where he could have contributed a great deal to the study of serial killers like himself, the world would have gained much. As it is, they lost a great deal in murdering Bundy. There is simply no excuse for this. There are many ways he could have been stopped from running, they just never bothered to try any of them. Drug control, even castration would I believe have been sanctioned by Bundy if he had the choice. Furthermore, electronic devices to monitor his whereabouts at any time could have been implanted in him. All of these things would have made the death sentence unnecessary. Bundy was definitely insane, even if the law did not categorize him as such. The proper place for an insane person is in a psychiatric institution, not a concrete cell in solitary confinement.

    Bundy didn't care about anyone but himself, telling him that he indeed could've been a great man had he not chosen to go out and murder people was the most effective way to reach him on some level. Bundy can't feel sorrow and remorse for what he did however he can feel these emotions for himself, so making him well aware of what could've been probably hurt him more than just calling him a despicable human being or monster.

      I know it sounds cheesy, but in the eyes of the law he was technically cloaked in the presumption of not guilty.
      However, the may reason is it was a jury trial and he was acting as his own attorney. The law does not allow the defendant to be in prison uniform, shackles, or handcuffs in front of the jury. It's to not prejudice the jury by making the defendant already look like a criminal.
      I have no idea if Bundy was wearing one but now days a defendant like that will be wearing a shock device under his clothes the jury can't see. One of the guards in the court will have a remote they can drop the defendant with if anything happens.
