  • WI v. DAHMER (1992): Tracy Edwards, who escaped from Jeffrey Dahmer, takes the stand.
    A new Netflix documentary "Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story" explores the gruesome story of Jeffrey Dahmer. Court TV cameras were inside the Wisconsin courtroom in 1992, where a jury was tasked to decide whether Dahmer, who pleaded guilty to the murders and dismemberment of 15 boys and men, should be sentenced to life in prison or admitted to a mental institution.

    Imagine escaping from someone who attempted to murder you, then later finding out that said individual had killed, dismembered, and even ate many men, then having to be in his presence again knowing what he planned to do to you. This man is brave beyond words, and a true hero. Whether he planned to be a hero or not, the amount of life’s he saved is staggering. It’s sad to see the path he’s went down later in life, I can only hope he’s doing well now.

      @mrphoenix8632 Před 7 měsíci +655

      @AndtherewasJoy13 What I do know is; after appearing in court he became an alcoholic and drug addict, he was later convicted of sexual assault and after his release from prison he became homeless, in 2011 he thrown a man to his death off a Milwaukee bridge and spent a year-and-a-half in prison, and he currently remains homeless in Milwaukee still suffering with alcoholism and drug addiction. His attorney said that he was never able to piece his life back together after Dahmer. It’s sad, but unfortunately Dahmer did succeed at taking his life, even if he didn’t realise that at the time.

I then found a pair fresh of lungs windpipe and trachia in a plastic bag on the pavement at night a short walk from his house, plus bags of decomposed organs....I was a student at University College London with experience in pathology.... I reported the matter to the Metropolitan Police London and said the remains "must be examined by an expert" (a forensic pathologist).
    Two policemen arrived at night, I said I knew what I was talking about, and my mother also confirmed this to the police. The two policemen took my name and address, said we should leave...so we left them with the bags.
    It later turned out....after a Scotland Yard inquiry (UK Police HQ) ....that the two policemen took the bags and dumped them without asking for any analysis.

      Not to throw him under the bus but he was street trade. I think most of Dahmer's victims were trade or street trade, which is how he lured them there. Although it was stated that Dahmer lured them there to take pictures both parties knew what that was code for which is to have sex in a trade off for money, food , place to live. The reason I know the witness to be street trade is because i am 100 percent gay and had sex with him on several occasions. I am sure others had figured that out already too. However, he was even more attractive than what you see in the video but currently he looks nothing like that. Life has taken a huge toll on him. What helped him survive was probably his street smarts because unbeknowgst to Dahmer he did not drink any of the spiked drink and he may have planned on robbing Dahmer himself. That last sentence is just an assumption.

It is their job to twist words or phrases to their own advantage with no apparent regard to the witness even when the witness is the victim. It is why children are rarely used as witnesses when the child is the victim.
      I testified in a hearing where I heard the four previous witnesses have their words twisted by the opposing attorney to sound the opposite of what they meant. When I testified, I was very careful to word my answers so there was no way the opposing attorney to twist what I said; she was not happy about it! Poor baby. (The person for whom I was testifying won with the judge saying my testimony determined his ruling.)
      In this case, the victim did an excellent job of answering in a way that his words could not be twisted to suggest a different meaning. That is not always an easy task. It was clear he was thinking to carefully word his answers to say what he meant and in a way they could not be challenged.
      I am certain the prosecution did all they could to prepare him for this; however, in doing so it had to be horrible for him.
