Kogarah Garbage - SL41

In this video we see yet another St George Garbage Truck SL41 working on a cool sunny day at around 10am nearing the end of the second/last load. SL41 is seen in the video working through the Wednesday garbage run in the suburb of Penshurst, cruising through a couple of straight residential streets in the former Kogarah LGA, now known as Georges River Council. Full time garbage truck this one for the three St George Region of Councils (Hurstville/Kogarah/Rockdale) currently based at Suez Lucas Heights Yard.
The truck in the spotlight is a 2007 Iveco Acco/22m Macdonald Johnston GenV, built up especially for the start of the Rockdale contract way back in 2008 and been used as a garbage truck ever since within the three councils. This truck and the other original Rockdale units sure are showing signs of age with over 8 years of service to the region, replacement is in the near future due to Suez getting the contract back again.
Mitch actually got this same truck on video picking up Rockdale Garbage, when the truck was still in near new condition over 6 years ago now, no doubt it looked and probably worked a whole lot better back then ey. Thanks has to go to the easy going operator behind the wheel for giving me the green light for the videos and also thanks to you guys for watching.

Thanks for the mention mate appreciate it, I will get on to the agency in the next couple of weeks if I dont get a start in Eastern Creek with the other agency, would be cool working out of Lucas heights with all those loud trucks !

Thanks Mick had to include that clip of you doing the other side I think we all know whos truck sounded better ey :P Ah Phil loves a chat man really nice guy, he was telling me some stuff about his truck and the Lucas Heights yard, asked were I got the Sita hat and then we started talking about Ryde. He also told me to get down to the agency so I can work out of Lucas Heights as a runner.
