The X-Men universe has given fans iconic and memorable partnerships, friendships, and dynamics between our mutant heroes. Some tragic, some unlikely, some precious, and some heart-wrenching. Cable and Hope, a protector/guardian/father-daughter relationship well known among X-Men fans, comes to mind. A father-daughter dynamic centered around a major event in the course of the X-Men history, where the hope of mutantkind lies in the fate of a small girl.
This art statue collectible depicts Cable, one of X-Men’s long-standing heroes protecting baby Hope Summers, known as the Mutant Messiah. Hope Summers is the first mutant born after the House of M and Decimation events (where Scarlet Witch uttered the famous line: “no more mutants”, resulting in the mass depowering of close to a million mutants overnight).
With his signature classic costume, short, worn cape flowing, the time-traveling mutant is seen at a ready stance, heavy set of weapons ready. In his left arm, he carries a scared Hope Summers close to him, prepared to defend and protect her from anyone who wishes to bring harm to the Mutant Messiah and by extension, the future of mutantkind.

Great looking statues thanks for the review! I could see a diehard Cable fan even buying two so you can have 2 completely different looking setups with the switch outs on this one.

The paint apps look great on this, as well as the overall sculpt and design. It's a shame it's so expensive, but I do think it's the best Cable out there. Sideshow's is equally good if you want a more comic looking version.

That is a great rendition of Cable. One of my favorite X-Men. I love that it included the option to have Hope. Would love to have this but it is way outside my budget.

I just bought my first statue, so now researching, I don't think there is a statue I want more currently. It stinks the licensing doesn't ship here! I've looked at dozens of statues old and new and available for pre order and this is the one that catches my eye besides Samuri joker and batman. Being a fan of the Cable Lore, this piece is amazing.
Just when I thought Sideshow had the best Cable. I think I like this one better. The switch outs are amazing and give you options in case you’re ever bored of a certain look. I may have to make room for this guy.
XM does a great job at giving you options to switch things up! Details on this one are amazing! If shipping wasn’t so darn expensive, I’d get everything they made.
Assuming you haven’t seen XM’s original cable if you think sideshow had the best.
The detail in the piece is amazing and I think for the collectors that are looking for a more realistic take this is the best option.
Personally, I like the more comic version Sideshow put out a few years ago. It just looks like he walked out of a Leifeld drawing except he doesn’t have a tiny foot.
I'm more of a comic guy myself. I do like the details in this version. The Sideshow piece, with it's price and design work for me. His head is a little small. But glad he has normal size feet! 😁

This cable is loaded with great details. I already own the Sideshow piece which I really like but this one has some great swithouts. Honestly if it wasn't because of shipping costs I'd consider it.

This statue is great, don't care for the Hope part though, Cable is suppose to be a badass futuristic soldier, not some cyber-soccer dad, always hated that storyline in the comics, sticking him with hope. But I would definitely get it for that extra gun in his left hand.

The Sideshow Cable has a lot going for it. It’s one of my favorite SS pieces in my collection. Places where this one bypasses it are with the details, the sculpted cape, the dynamics, the switchout options, and the size of the head.
@@DTsGEEKSHOW tottally agree with u . Ss is much likely comic and xm as always a bit realistic bc of the cold cast porcelain . If anyone has xm xmen pieces even tho i prefer ss , that suits better with them

The review is well done. But just my opinion, this statue has too much going on and not really digging the Hope piece. The bearded portrait and the gritted teeth portraits do look good though.
Looks cool, but the guns and cape on the Sideshow version make it stand out more. The cape here looks like "why doesn't he just take that off?"
On second thought, those switch-outs look like fun! When you switched the cape, I thought- Ooh, I wanna play with it next! 😂
