I'm not really a statues kinda guy. I never really understood the whole toys/statues appeal...until now. This statue is nothing less than a work of art, it looks magnificent and even I wouldn't mind one in a corner of the room.

Don't collect comic pieces myself, but this piece looks great! I love the portals and the little Easter eggs, really adds to the piece. And I agree with you about the mixed media, I hate it and think it looks so out of place on sculpted statues. Especially considering how good certain sculpted capes look.
Finally unboxed mine today and he is an absolute UNIT. I thought Magneto was a big boy as far as height goes but Cable matches that and adds about double the body mass. His leg is the size of his torso easily. Man this could be my favorite statue from SS so far. Pricey? Yes, but they absolutely nailed the design, paint, sculpt etc. It really is prototype quality.

That’s one of the coolest looking statues.. Fire!!! I like footprint, like you mentioned. It’s big but not too big, where you’re not comfortable moving it around. I’m not sure about the poncho or cape thing. I would probably do the same and leave it off, so you can see all the detail. Another dope video my dude! And yeah, that’s a big gun...lol

Funny how subjective things can be. I happen to love the portals, as you do, but you hate the poncho. I thought he poncho was a home run when you put it on him. It set the whole thing off and took it to the next level!

Finally, their back to a thin footprint (on the shippers box), saves us room in the garage. Correct: Without the portals it becomes more of museum pose, instead of him stepping through time portals. Cable is proportional to Wolverine. Q: I wonder if he’s to scale to the rest of the team?

Thanks for showing us the poncho, but good on you for not displaying it with the poncho. I'm not a fan of mixed media either, and that poncho is a massive no-go. Awesome X-Men voice over at the end.

Hey GMC, that Cable is EPIC and will go really well with a Bishop statue from Sideshow, let's hope Sideshow agrees and gets a Bishop out in the next year. Much respect on the "Body Slide x 5" reference from the Legacy VIrus episode of the animated series where Wolverines' antibodies end up being the cure to Apocalypse's plague and the X-Men animated series audio from the courthouse battle at the end of the video, too. Good try with the poncho positioning it like a cape, though given the detail of the piece, I don't blame you for not keeping it on. I agree with on the rest of the X-Men included as Sideshow companion pieces and maybe an Apocalypse and Nimrod to oppose him almost like a diorama. By the way BFG= Big F___ing Gun if I'm not mistaken, edited for the comment section of course, hopefully that still counts for 10 points. Congrats on the new Cable piece for the collection, GMC.
