Rose & Cuir is phenomenal - love the Hermes vibe. Tom Ford Rose Prick is a bit too powdery for me, but I like it combined with BR540. I can't wait to try Eau Capitale. Thanks so much for the video! :)

While at the mall in Downtown Miami today, I found a Diptyque store. I got a small sample Eau Capitale for my husband. Sprayed one spray on the back of my hand. That was several hours ago. I've washed my hands multiple times and it is STILL there. It's an awesome fragrance. Definitely masculine. I really love it. Your reviews have changed the game for my collection!

Montale Starry Nights is a great musky rose with a little patchouli and apple. So good.
I agree with you on all points. Eau Capital so much fun. It has a huge and beautiful scent aura. It surprises me how many people comment on it and ask for the name have never heard of Dyptique. Rose and Cuir may be my next FM purchase (or En Passant). ❤️

I sprayed Rose and Cuir on myself at a mall and I love it and my mom loved it too. Since then I got a full bottle and will split it with her -It lasts over a day on my skin. I am keen to try the other 2 fragrances too!

I’ve just gotten into rose and I’m really appreciating how amazing rose is. I’m currently wearing Fragrance du Bois, Rose Du Bois Attar, you need to get your nose on this it’s just intoxicating. Saffron, cardamom, Damascus Rose and Amber, it’s just Devine. Dyptique sound that most interesting to me. I’ve tried rose prick and wasn’t too impressed. The pink bottle it the best thing about the product.

Great video mate do sound like different roses to what I'm used to. I do absolutely love Rose, I must admit before i started to try the note scared me, but the more you smell the more I think you fall in love with it

I typically don’t like string Rose 🌹 notes but Rose Prick is the exception for me. It’s a spicy rose and with lots of depth. Lyric Man is ok but not something I would reach for very much. Great to see your excitement for Diptyque!
The 2 that I've tried of these are the Rose Prick and the Eau Capitale. I really do love both. I get better performance out of the Tom Ford though. Only average performance from the Diptique for me...but they both smell amazing. I want to try the Rose & Cuir as well as Lyric Man. Thanks for the great video!

I'm not a fan of fresh rose note in perfumery, but when it's well blended with other notes or when there is a dominant dark rose then I love it. However, I love Rose Prick. It's always interesting to know about new scents with rose note.

Totally agree on Eau Capitale but it reminds me of Fleur de Peau rather than Tempo. Same gorgeous comforting musks for me. Beautiful

I love rose I currently own Papillon Artisan Tobacco Rose, Moschino Boy Toy and Dua Rosa's Thorn (inspired by TF Rose Prick). I have a couple other that have the rose accord, not as predominant but good.
When I first smelt Rose and Cuir I wasn’t so sure, now I love it especially the dry down 😀

Eau Capitale was a love at first sniff for me. 🌹 Rose Prick kind of a disappointment after thorough testing.

Rose & Cuir - my new addiction - very unique & unusual
Rose prick got a cool name and a cool bottle haha, definitely gonna try it after this pandemic thing. Rose and Cuir is not really my type, I feel dizzy when I smelt it
I've never been asked about a fragrance as often as about "Eau Capitale". This definitely leaves quite a trail. It reminds me a lot of "Belgravia Chypre" by Penhaligon's, though. As another great, almost intoxicating rose fragrance I have recently discovered "Experimentum Crucis" by ELdO. Also quite similar, but with a strong cumin note it is a bit animalic.
Isobutyl quinoline is a very common aroma chemical that's used to create leather accords in fragrances. It has a dry, ashy and smokey aroma to it. If you were to get some on its own (diluted of course because at full concentration, it will knock you out lol) and smell it, it will instantly remind you of Tom Ford Tuscan Leather and even Nasomatto Black Afgano.

You need to try Frederic Malle portrait of a lady. it is one of my favorite perfumes ever.
👍👍👍 Along with Diptyque 34 Boulevard Saint-Germain, Diptyque Eau Capitale is, dare I say, orgasmic. Diptyque's Rose Candle is not to be missed as well. Would love to try Rose & Cuir, as I love Portrait of a Lady but find it too feminine.

Sebastian, do you like Byredo's Rose Noir? I love how dark it is. It's like stopping to smell the roses, but at nighttime :-) Fragcom tends to reference Portrait of a Lady as the holy grail rose scent, but I much prefer your picks here.
One of my favorites was elisabethan rose by penhaligon's. The original version. It changed a few years ago, still smells good though. I've been looking for more good rose smells
Love rose frags. To smell on a woman. The only rose-dominant frag that I can personally wear is lyric man.

Rose & Cuir sounds interesting to me. The other two contain patchouli and my nose detect patchouli very quickly and usually I can’t smell anything else in the parfum if the parfum contain patchouli. I can’t wait to try Rose & Cuir!

I love Eau Capitale
So I sprayed Rose Prick today at the TF counter and... OH MAN! I could NOT stop smelling my arm! It smelled divine! The rose was beautiful sure, however what stood out was what I can only describe as a "fresh new magazine page". It was a paper type of (accord? not sure if someone tries to evoke paper) but anyway THAT was what did it for me! I loved it. I went expecting to like White Suede (I did like that) but this blew me away! Can you give insight to what I am describing as the magazine/ paper -smell? I am concerned that my husband won't like Rose Prick on me bc he seems to dismiss rose as 'old lady' but the real epiphany here for me was that 'paper'. I want to run with that and find whatever it is that I'm perceiving as "paper accord" in other fragrances. Do you have any note trails I should follow to find more of that?

Frederic Malle is the one of my favorite houses, that's why I have Portrait Of Lady, Promise, Une Rose. Another GREAT fragrance is Lyric Amouage.

Mohamed Sow Kazimi is beautiful and oh so unique, get a sample if you can. IMHO Kazimi is Christi’s finest release, timeless. Contrary to what some have reported, I get solid performance as well that lasts all day on skin and forever on clothing.
Rose prick doesn’t work on my skin :( too sweet and powdery. I do love Portrait of a Lady, rose cuir seems interesting. My all time favorite roses are Amouage Rose Attar, Lyric man, Dior Rose Gipsy. I find those to be realistic roses.
I believe that Van Cleef and Arpels Rose Rouge is a beautiful fragrance, but i have not tried it myself, I'm dying too though..
I actually have Rose Velours but need to check on Rose Rouge. :)

I was going to add that but that came out in September so I was featuring only the more latter ones. I suppose the greenness matches them but they are different from one another still green roses! :)
the mate note is most prominent in TEMPO. Do u get that note in this EAU CAPITALE as well? Since u mentioned it's TEMPO with rose?
No not in this but it's very green patchouli but no Mate! :)
I bought eau capitale right away when it was released. I love rose-patch combo, and I love chypre.
However, on me, bergamot was so persistent, patch was so juicy, it’s just no way a chypre to me.... I tried to decant some for my friends, and It smelled wonderful on them... Don’t know why..... Eventually, I sold it..

I bought some samples from Perfumista Tom Fords Rose Prick....it's a dirty rose...it's ok but I would not go and buy it, I also bought Diptyque - Eau Capitale....LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this and I am now going to buy the full size, reminds me of Stella McCartney's Rose Absolute which they no longer make. . I also bought Jo Malone Bergamot Oud ( I know it is not listed on your video) not impressed at all, it is very aftershave-ish and not in a good way....I love men's aftershaves especially Aramis which I wear and mix with other perfumes.

Rose & cuir smells like Sabzighorme, vegetables that already being chupped. To me it smells no where close to rose
