    This is the video I wished I had watched when my wife and I got back into PTCG a few months ago! We love playing the game and finding an affordable way to be competitive is such a great resource.

    My daughter has recently got into it and I've dug up all my 20+ year old cards to show her. This vid has been super useful thanks! She bought her first booster the other day and ofc pulled the new Incineroar Full Art 😂 beginners luck...

    Trying to explain this whole thing is a big tricky, especially to impatient or tired minds. Thank you for compiling everything I wanted to say in an easy to digest format!
    I also want to say Miraidon ex with Squawkabilly ex is also fairly straightforward and easy to learn, as somebody who recently played and been recommended the exact 2 products as in the video!

    Seriously was super hard to find out which sets were in rotation, when I started back 2 months ago. You like can’t see the letters on the corners just from the names so that’s nice you put it in there

    Thank you very much for the video. Although I still collected, I have not played the game against another person in over 20 years. I finally decided to get out of my house and go to a LGS last month, and came in second last weekend in a tournament (I made one mistake and it cost me). I needed the rotation times and set info in this video to beat that kid!

    Also, for anyone that's new or returning after many years, it's definitely a good idea to check out the Gym Leader Challenge format as well.
    While the PTCG itself is great, the current format and state of the game may not appeal to everyone.

    I'm thinking of starting to play the pokemon tcg coming from Yugioh. I have experience playing pokemon before, and I was thinking of picking up a tier 1 deck to get into the game. I've been interested in lost zone giratina (have some experience playing this on ptcgo), chien pao baxcalibur or miraidon ex.
    Ive seen online that lost zone box and chien pao ex decks are pretty safe from potential 2024 rotation, whereas miraidon could lose flaafy. I'm looking for a deck that's not too hard to play (so not like gardevoir), is safe from rotation for the most part, and has solid matchups across the board. Would any of these be a good pickup for the next competitive season?
    Thanks in advance :)

    • @CeliosNetwork
      @CeliosNetwork  Před 6 měsíci

      I’d say lost zone tina is a great choice. It’s definitely easier than lost zone box and it also doesn’t really have any bad matchups.

      @@CeliosNetwork Thanks for your fast response! Do you think that even without battle VIP pass post rotation it'll still be good? My knowledge of the deck is somewhat limited, but I feel that without it maybe the deck won't be as fast anymore

    is there a site like mobalytics where i can link my tcg account and i would be able to find pre built decks based on the cards i already own or find decks with a few missing cards tht way i can slowly build my collection over time while not feeling drained of using the same basic decks given at start?

    • @CeliosNetwork
      @CeliosNetwork  Před 7 měsíci

      Unfortunately the Pokemon TCG Live does not have API / open source data that is needed for this. Games like Hearthstone, League, etc all allow for this but Pokemon TCGO did not and neither does Pokemon TCG Live. I sent a formal request for information on this and was given no information available at this time.

    Another deck that probably won't survive rotation is Gardevoir ex since it's losing battle vip pass, shining arcana gardevoir, and zacian v.

    • @leo_latta0982
      @leo_latta0982 Před 7 měsíci

      mhhh, i think more attackers are gonna find space, and even without vip pass you can still play lots of cards such as artazon, minor ball and im sure pokemon company are going to make a card similar to vip pass because it is too good

    • @devanshkoppar7477
      @devanshkoppar7477 Před 7 měsíci

      @mazinrobox2546 Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@leo_latta0982I hope not. I feel it is a very unfair card. It is amazing on turn 1, and useless later, so if you get it on turn 1 and your opponent doesn't, it gives a big advantage, sometimes it even decides games

    • @CeliosNetwork
      @CeliosNetwork  Před 5 měsíci

      When a set is released it can be expected to be standard format legal for about 3 years or so. It ends up being plenty of time because nobody wants the same powerful cards to rule the meta forever.
