F. L Kimi had Sector 1&2 purple and then he made a mistake in the last corner to the long straight 😔
Vettel also locked up on sector 1 on his last run, even though he got even faster on sector 2 & 3 on his last run than his own current pole lap.

I don't understand why they can't wait the hour or so for the highlights to come out before posting the pole lap.
If you don't want to see the spoilers, don't go on CZcams or social media. It's inevitable.
Back in 2016 I couldn't watch the most of the live events so every weekend I unsubbed and unfollowed any F1 related youtube and facebook content until I got a chance to download and watch the grand prix events lol it worked pretty well for me.

Example, I was on instagram scrolling and it showed up in my feed that Vettel won pole. I can't exactly unsee it now can I. So I came on YT to see the lap. I still gonna watch the highlights. Posting the highlights first won't change the fact I already know Vettel won pole. It's not a spoiler.

There's a few sponsor logos on the top of the Ferrari halo. I assume those sponsors would be unimpressed if their logos got covered up by graphics.

No, the cars were faster in the last races despite having the halo on. This year's race in Baku is way earlier than it was last year, so I think the cooler temperatures are the reason.

The new cars are running more downforce which is costing them top speed and that will be noticed on a track with long straights like this.

1:35 It does look like vettel uses the "extra" button with his right hand right before he activates DRS with his left. Also, the engine revs a little higher before the drs zone. I dunno, but im a vettel fan and i was curious about this whole talk.

Start the video at 1:14. At 1:17, as he is approaching that nasty corner where Kimi binned it, he flicks down the switch with his pointer finger, as soon as he exits the corner you can also see him flick it back up.
Vettel got the pole fair and square. If there was anything illegal going on it would have been banned by now. Everyone knows Vettel likes to have a car with little to no exit oversteer and this may be, legally, helping him with that.
I hope max just crashes out with someone else this time.
