- Another painting for the CZcams Artists Collective! The theme this month is "Masquerade Ball." I strayed a bit from the idea and decided to make a picture inspired by the Carnival of Venice. IF VALERIE DOES THE SAME THING! I don't even know. lol XD

WHat happened!! We weren't twins this time! I love the piece, the colors are great.
This is so beautiful 😍😱 I think this is totally in keeping with the theme. When I was researching the Venetian masks I found that they originated from social events and used in carnival. Also I'd say a carnival is like a ball, it's a big dance in the street!!
It's funny watching artist do their thing. It always starts off looking terrible then turn into something AMAZING that you wish you can do. Fantastic work!!!

The idea of a Mask came from the Venice carnivals, most royalty would host a mask because Venice was the centerpiece of renaissance life.
Basicly it was super trendy to do as the romans do...
I think It fit with the theme. To me, it look like she's walking into the party with a cover over her and the feather and flower is the door frame

I recently just visited venice and I was just so intrigued by the beauty of the city. And guess what? I bought a Venetian mask! And this is a really really wonderful coincidence.

I really love the colours in this! They're absolutely gorgeous and I love the way you've layered up the watercolours and all the textures the watercolour gives it, it's so so pretty :3

Technically, balls are also half outside so you're good.
Masked balls are weird I've been to one once and idk you expect this super mysterious atmosphere but chances are you know half those people and just go "ooo pretty mask" the entire time because you don't really go to balls where you don't know anyone.
That's at least what balls are like where I'm from

I remember that during recess in school I used to bring my drawing book and a group of random people would stare at me draw I was so uncomfortable I just kept draw in my head I would repeat "no eye contact just keep drawing just keep drawing"I was so afraid sometimes they wouldn't go away and would stay in till my Bff came and stopped them
