as terrifying as the ocean is, the different symbiotic relationships like the shark getting it's teeth cleaned and the fish swimming inside the jelly are quite cool to see
My favourite one is coral, how cool it can’t survive without its little friends
nice pfp :))
Whenever I see a jellyfish I swim faster than Sun Yang doing the 1500m at the 2012 London Olympic games
Just wondering what mad you choose him so random
@@Jackboxy its a bot
educational
In Russia we just bring and RPG 7 around everywhere to deal with crap
Ye but can you swim faster than donkey Kong in Mario and sonic 2012 Olympic games
I'm always mildly uncomfortable when George's mask isn't exactly centered
why did it really annoy once someone pointed it out lol 😂
why would you point that out -_-
me - as an ocean obsessed aspiring marine biologist - agree that it is terrifying, especially the deeper you go but it is also so cool to learn about
mate you've got a tommyinnit profile pic, you're not going anywhere in life lol
@@its0gravity I don’t like Tommy innit either but your pfp is literally a 2 year old meme.
@@its0gravity you are right but have you seen your own pfp
@@its0gravity might wanna stop projecting your own insecurities onto other people bro, you don’t sound tough you just sound sad :/ i mean what happy person bullies somone whos probably a kid for a pfp when they have a meme pfp themself? hope you start feeling better, don’t worry, you’re gonna make it in life just like froggi is :)

As somebody that studied Marine Biology, I share your fear of octopuses. They're absolutely wonderful and amazing, but I am whole-heartedly convinced they could take us all down if they banded together.
Edited to add: I will accept absolutely no vampire squid slander. They're just harmless lil guys that feed on detritus and make themselves look spiky so they don't get eaten.
Octopuses are definitely smart enough to take us out if they wanted too, I am grateful they chose peace
Octopi***
@@anthonylong9067 Octo comes from the ancient greek 8 and Pus which means feet, whereas the -i ending steems from latin roots. so if you wanna be really correct, then you would say Octopedes. however the word octopus has been accepted into the english language, making the plural form of octopus in the english laguage Octopuses.
They are extremely smart, and they are extremely amazing in my opinion and I’d rather an octopus named Ceaser take over the world than a monke or a robot skele who became selfless aware. And vampire squids are cute and wholesome little creatures
Yup, it has to do with space along with other factors. When Great White Sharks are kept in aquariums, they tend to ram into walls which injures them. These sharks can roam great distances, one has been tracked to cross the entire Atlantic. So one in an enclosure is bound to not go well. Plus it's a logistical nightmare to capture them, transport them, and relocate them into a tank all while keeping them in water. Sharks can die quickly out of the oceans no matter what those trying to move them try to do
Why is Donald Trump pretty and I am not? But why does he only have a wife but I have TWO HANDSOME GIRLFRIENDS who I show off in my masterpiece YT videos? Do you know the answer, dear av
And they need to keep moving forward otherwise theyll drown
i heard also they need a current to sleep, so that could be why too
@@naomip1493 i thought they didnt sleep at all
to be fair most casual fish keepers don't know what they're doing at all either. which is why people think for example, goldfish, have tiny lifespans when they can easily live 10+ years. I imagine the shark thing is just that on a larger scale.

I know Colossal Squids are only really found in the Southern Ocean (Antarctica) but I'm literally petrified of them, even though there's the entire Atlantic separating me from it 🙈😂
9:55 that’s a horseshoe crab. They’re more closely related to spiders and scorpions than crabs or anything else in the ocean. I live in Connecticut along Long Island Sound and they’re very common during the summer. I love them. They aren’t dangerous at all.
Where is Connecticut?
@@calus_bath_water Americia
The pokemon Kabuto is based on that and he didn't point that out but directly after pointed out the turtle looking like torterra
as a biology student, what you called “isopod” is actually a xiphosura, very close to spiders!
hi! i’m also a biology student but newly and i was just wondering, was that a horseshoe crab? i’ve studied theyre anatomy before and held one but we never used it’s scientific name.
@@gracerees7376 Yes, they are also known as horseshoe crabs
Horseshoe crabs are chill. I remember in my marine biology class for 12th grade, we had one and named it Josh.
It then died and we buried it in a patch of dirt near the classroom.
RIP Josh.
@@anthonylong9067 that’s so cool! i’ve never actually seen one in real life, i believe they only appear in America
@@sandrigomez2828 there’s a species that live along the atlantic coast. Limulus Polyphemus. Im assuming that’s the type we had in my marine bio class if I remember correctly. This was back in 2009-2010 so i dont really remember
But there are 3 others that live in parts of Asia. Namely china, japan and southeast Asia including the coast of india. Tachypleus tridentatus, tachypleus gigas, and the carcinoscorpius rotundicauda.
George should definately check out some deepsea ROV footage, Id love to see his reaction to the bordeline nightmarish magnapinna squid

DaBaby: *Ah, I see you're a convertible of culture as well*
I have Thalassophobia, but I’m just gonna suffer through and focus on George as much as possible!
Trust me, George. We have only observed less than 1% of the entire world's ocean, and the creatures that inhabited it are truly weird in our understanding, especially the lower you go.
Thought it was 10%
@@sibericusthefrosty9950 "According to the National Ocean Service, it's a shockingly small percentage. Just 5 percent of Earth's oceans have been explored and charted - especially the ocean below the surface. The rest remains mostly undiscovered and unseen by humans." I over estimated but still ain't no 1%
@@The-ne9ut its 20%
Alternative title: George hating and being disgusted by squid and jellyfish for 10 minutes straight
Don’t worry George. The vampire squid is also an animal crossing creature and therefore valid.
Not as terrifying as Birmingham , the residents are both smelly and have rough skin though
Fun fact, With Japanese folklore, people believed that oarfish would only come to the surface when a large earthquake was going to happen. Its been since disproven, but it turns out they like the lights on most boats.
I learnt a thing about George today:
*If it has tentacles, beat it.*
i had a horrible day but this video is making me feel so much better, thank u george

Palau, whose most famous attraction is a lake filled with 700,000 mini golden jellyfish: 👁👄👁
ah, so you must be Squidward in the episode where SpongeBob and Patrick attempted to make him try jellyfishing
As a kid I really wanted to be a marine biologist and I LOVED sharks (still do) but now? Absolutely not. It's all the seaweed and lack of knowing what's down there that freaks me out
@Demon Slayer Exactly! I would love to swim with sharks, all the seaweed and little crabs and stuff it's my problem cos I don't know if I'm standing on something or not lol
How is George more worried about scallop eyes than the fact IT HAS TEETH
glad to see someone with the same hatred for jellyfish- i got stung in my eye once and it was the worst thing i've ever experienced
Crazy to think we know more about the surface of the moon than we do about the bottom of the ocean
“Buss down squid, Valid” -George M

I like the fact that george is scared of seeing crabs up close while here on the coasts of sweden crab fishing and crab racing is one of the most common thing children do when going to the beach
hearing george mention the monterey bay aquarium is such a trip LMAO
When I was a little kid, my family went abroad on holiday. We got a little octopus in our food and my sister (probably 5 at the time) took it back to the hotel and refused to put it in the bin and tried to take it home with us
"If I ever see a squid in public" - George 2022
Please please make more videos like this I could watch an endless amount of content of you just losing your mind over ocean animals

love george's reaction to the vampire squid, it's my favourite type of squid and i want a tattoo of one lmao
I was hoping he would see the vampire squid, they have such pretty eyes!
Octonauts made me love vampire squids
I got a tattoo of one for my 21st birthday, they're so cute and I love them so much!
the ocean is pretty scary indeed george
The sea lion one is pretty wholesome, as much as I love penguins and it’s sad he killed it too give it too the diver, he’s just saying that he loves the diver and is giving him food, kinda sweet
just wait until he sees the goblin shark
or the bigfin squid
Someone please tell me why George kicking an octopus was perfectly in sync with a bag falling off my chair I'm shaking
collosal squids are only found near antarctica, so you are correct
The little fried octopus is a throw back to the eboys podcast lmao
After this video, I like sea animals more than before. Half of them were cute, and the other half were cool/badass
I think I read about a Great White being kept in an aquarium, but they had to let it out because it kept swimming into the walls out of distress.
That might not have been a Great White though, maybe a tiger shark.
The ocean is terrifying, but so is the meat worm.
for fucks sake
As someone in the oceanography field, I'm absolutely wheezing 😂It's so bizarre to see someone with an ocean fear and how they think (I mean the oceans got some spooky stuff, but a lot of it's pretty dang cool).
this video is just George being both terrified and overjoyed by oceanic creatures haha
Content atm coming quick love it 🦑
one of my favourite recent videos from george , thanks dude
This is one of my favourite of your recent videos, thank you George :)
Would love to see another vid on this.
The Monterey bay aquarium is amazing, one of the best, so if even they can’t keep the great white shark alive
Bro was flabbergasted, befuddled, and vexed 💀
"The ocean is a terrifying place"
Me: *sad marine biology major noises*
also his hatred of jellyfish is actually really sad to me cuz they're what i wanna study :(
I remember loving to see the colossal squid at Te Papa (Wellington, NZ) that’s been on display in a tank since like 2003 as a kid, but it’s like decaying and the water is so murky now and now I can’t stand seeing it. I think a total of 3 squids have been on display. But it’s so icky
"my octopus teacher" sounds like something that would totally not be in my search history
when i was a kid i loved Penguins due to watching the Madagascar movies, i watched documentaries on them after a while and from that day on one of my greatest fears were leopard seals.
Jellyfish are the scariest animals in the world. I'd be afraid of a wolf or crocodile but not creeped out in the same way.
The ocean is simultaneously the most beautiful, interesting, and terrifying place on Earth.
I wonder how George would react if he learnt/knew that crocodiles can swim and live in the ocean.
SOMEONE SHOW THIS MAN A GIF OF A GOBLIN SHARK. IT GAS TO BE A GIF/VIDEO FOR THE FULL EXPERIENCE
Didn't know if I should watch the vid at first, but it was very entertaining and I loved it. Keep up the great content George!
This video was both adorable and terrifying.
a cephlapod is an octopus, squid, cuttlefish. stuff like that. I love them. especially vampire squids
"How does that look in the scallop's brain"
Scallop's don't have brains, instead they have multiple different ganglia spread around their bodies.
The funny thing about wails is they came out of the water and tried to be sort of dog crocodile hybrids but they where so bad at being land mammals they just evolved back into fish
10 minutes of george memeulous developing thalassophobia
George you should play subnautica
Another kraken video George
Memeulous: I hate all fish, but these...

george man the tiny octopuses are the best part 😭😭😭
very good video george
obsessed with George being like "That's not how they move in Animal Crossing!!!" wholesome af
this video was literally just memeulous being terrified of squid XD
Strawberry squid is GOATED with the sauce
This put me in the mood to play animal crossing thank you
I have wanted to scuba dive for years but I don't want the kraken eating me. Playing Ark is enough to scare anyone
One time when I was kid my family went on a trip to Greece and while at the beach my mum warned us not to pick any clear gell looking objects up because there were dangerous jellyfish in the area that often washed up on the shore.
Guess what the first thing my dumbass did 👁👁 (and it was a jellyfish)
This man is never going to be able to go in the ocean again after this
Petition for George to do an Animal Crossing series
This is a thallasaphobic’s worst nightmare
3:01 oh I love sturgeon, they are also found in freshwater depending on the species.
that's a sturgeon?? omg

Grilled calamari tentacles are the best part
