exactly, i hav windows 10 8 ram 64 gigs and hav to play legacy editon
first of all i was deleting these msvcp dll files in system wow 64
then i try to open origin the error was msvcp140dll
but when i download this msvcp140.dll and copy it in the origin
directory but the error shows me this same error what should i do ?
I cannot locate Origin in either of my program folders in my C drive.. how do I resolve these error and get Origin to install on my windows 8??
it wont let me delete the dlls without permission. how do i get around this?
Thing you have to do if its dont tel you delete the files.
1-) Press Windows button and R
2-) Type "Netplwiz"
3-) Then Sellect the user which is you use
4-) then Press Settings
5-) Press Group Membership
6-) Sellect the 2. Option
7-) Restart your Pc
8-) Done

All i did was copy the 32 MSVCP120.dll into origin folder. Exited origin and loaded again. And the problem was fixed. Much thanks!!!

When trying to install origin on my microsoft 10 windows computer (already purchased sims, I literally just wanna play it but this is my luck I guess..) this thing keeps popping up saying "it can't run a code because it failed to find VCRUNTIME.140.dll" or "it can't run a code because it can't find MSVCP.140.dll." Does anyone know what this means?? I can't try to uninstall it bc my problem is I CAN'T install it AT ALL. This is my first time trying to install origin and it's not giving me a good impression...

These steps are more complicated. Just go to computer go to disk C and then go to program files (x86). Find origin folder and then look for uninstall origin and then just re install the client

actually this guy is right but his method is a bit complex. The truth is if you've tried many other methods and still get msvcp is missing error message, then all you need to do (for 64 bit os users) coppy all the missing msvcp files and the 0xc00007b file from your system32 to your SysWOW64 folder.......the reason is this, when the system was upgraded (in some cases ) it never or fails to copy the files from system 32 to the sysWOW64 folder.....this worked for me, so you guys should try it out....besides i'am just 15 and i discoverd this.

thanks mate, everything works. except i didnt put the msvcp120 file in origin but i put that in syswow64. after putting that there, it worked just fine. if anyone is having problems after doing those steps, u may as well try this one step after those.

Man that's made it. For all who changed the windows version from 8.1 to 10 and then get this error, THIS IS THE SOLUTION (...well that worked for me ^^) thx ! I had to put the msvcp140.dll 64bit in the system32 / crazy but it solves it
