you took way too long to get to the point... this video should have told me what i needed to do within the first 10 secs...
Ah, my esteemed interlocutor, I find myself compelled to engage in a most eloquent and protracted discourse, a veritable symphony of verbosity, in response to your assertion that my oratory endeavors within the confines of a CZcams video were, dare I say, excessively protracted. Pray, allow me to unfurl my rhetorical tapestry, weaving together a panoply of polysyllabic expressions and labyrinthine sentences, akin to a masterful weaver at her loom, meticulously crafting an opulent fabric of linguistic grandeur.
First and foremost, let us traverse the verdant meadows of context. Imagine, if you will, the vast expanse of the digital realm-the virtual agora where ideas, opinions, and cat videos intermingle. In this hallowed space, I, a humble narrator, embarked upon a voyage of elucidation, my words akin to the oars of an ancient trireme propelling us through the choppy seas of discourse. Each sentence, a stroke; each paragraph, a gust of Aeolian winds propelling our vessel toward the distant shores of comprehension.
Now, dear critic, consider the multifaceted facets of time. Chronos, that capricious deity, dances upon the stage of existence, wielding his scythe with arbitrary whimsy. Was my temporal expenditure truly excessive, or did it merely stretch across the canvas of minutes like a Renaissance fresco, inviting contemplation and reflection? Verily, the sands of the hourglass flowed, and my words, like grains of golden sand, cascaded forth, each imbued with the weight of sagacity.
But let us not dwell solely upon the chronometric dimensions. Nay, let us delve into the very marrow of my discourse-the sinews of argumentation, the sinuous sinews that bind thought to expression. For, you see, brevity, though oft extolled as the soul of wit, can also be the harbinger of obfuscation. In my verbosity, I sought clarity-an intellectual lighthouse piercing the fog of ignorance. Each subordinate clause, a beacon; each parenthetical aside, a lantern illuminating the rocky shoals of misunderstanding.
And now, my dear interlocutor, I beseech thee: consider the chapter markers strewn along the temporal tapestry of my video. These digital signposts, like constellations in the firmament, guide the weary traveler through the labyrinthine corridors of discourse. With a mere click, the viewer may leapfrog across epochs, bypassing my prolix preambles and alighting upon the very crux of my argument. Verily, it is a feat akin to traversing the Silk Road with a teleportation device-a marvel of modernity!
Therefore, I implore thee, dear critic, to avail thyself of these temporal waystations. Navigate the video's Byzantine contours with the deftness of a Venetian gondolier, and thou shalt find thyself at the heart of my thesis, unencumbered by circumlocution. Let the chapter markers be thy Virgil, guiding thee through the inferno of my verbosity toward the paradisiacal shores of comprehension.
In summation, my dear interlocutor, fear not the labyrinthine corridors of my discourse, for within them lie treasures aplenty. And when next thou encounter a verbose narrator, remember: chapter markers are the keys to enlightenment, the Rosetta stones of digital rhetoric. Go forth, click, and be enlightened! 📚🎥
@@BV3D Ah, my esteemed correspondent,
Your eloquent missive has stirred within me a profound sense of admiration for your linguistic prowess. With each carefully crafted phrase, you have painted a vivid portrait of the intricacies of discourse, inviting me to embark upon a journey through the labyrinth of rhetoric.
Indeed, your invocation of the digital agora resonates deeply with my own experiences traversing the vast expanse of the internet. In this virtual realm, where ideas flow like rivers and conversations ebb and flow like the tides, the art of oratory takes on a new significance. It is not merely about conveying information, but about engaging in a symphony of words, a dance of intellect and expression.
As I reflect upon your exegesis on the multifaceted nature of time, I am reminded of the timeless wisdom of the ancients, who understood that true understanding cannot be rushed. Like a masterful chef allowing a stew to simmer, so too must we allow our ideas to marinate, to mature, before presenting them to the world. Your analogy of the sands of the hourglass is particularly evocative, for indeed, time is a precious commodity, and it is incumbent upon us to use it wisely.
Moreover, your defense of verbosity as a means to clarity strikes a chord within me. In a world inundated with sound bites and slogans, the art of nuance is too often overlooked. Your words serve as a rallying cry for those who seek to delve beneath the surface, to explore the depths of complex ideas without fear or hesitation.
And how can I not commend your innovative use of chapter markers as a tool for navigation through the labyrinth of discourse? In an age where attention spans are fleeting and distractions abound, your approach offers a beacon of hope for those who yearn for deeper engagement with content. Indeed, your comparison of chapter markers to the keys to enlightenment is nothing short of revelatory.
In conclusion, my dear interlocutor, I am grateful for the opportunity to engage in this spirited dialogue with you. Your erudition and eloquence have left an indelible impression upon me, and I look forward to further exchanges in the future. Until then, may we continue to explore the boundless realms of rhetoric together, guided by the luminous beacon of intellectual curiosity.😁

Great video showing some very important, often overlooked, details for formatting SD cards for 3D printers.
Hi Marcus! Thanks! 😊
This just saved me another 5 hours of troubleshooting. Thank you!
I bought a 64gb micro sd and this helped so much! THANK YOU!
How did it work for you?
@@moji3812 It worked PERFECT I am so glad because now I can have 1000's of .stl files for my ender 3! My 3d printer came with one already but I wanted 2 so I could make models while printing them. I plug it into an adapter that goes into my MacBook pro
@@nickademis22 did you do ex-fat instead of fat32?
@@jacksonistheGOAT no just fat32
@@nickademis22I fried mine so now i am trying to format it to work for my 3d printer but when I tried to format it fat32 did not come up
Thank you for giving me this idea
Thank you! By far the most helpful channel🎉 Had problem with finding my sd card, this solved the problem😊❤
Best instructional videos bar far. Thank you for sharing your knowledge friend.
You're very welcome!
Thank you so much for this. I was getting the Frozen Ender 3 logo screen everytime I inserted the stock SD card that came with the printer. After I reformatted the SD card, it was working again. Phew...I thought my card reader was broken lol.

Thank you for this video!
Thanks for the help man!
Wow the allocation unit size was what caused me problems, the default setting was not working. Thanks for showing it in detail so I could get my LCD updated!
thank you this video was a life saver
As always ...great!
thank you, i just bought another ender 3 pro used and i wanted it to have the same software as my main and this video helped, not sure why the printer is so damn picky about sd card size and all of those other settings it need however it worked, thank you....
Thanks man, you really save me.
Thank you so much!
I send you my like and a big hug thanks
Another great video like your last one on upgrading ender 3 max. I asked this on last video but not sure you seen it but how would I upgrade with JyersUI and color LCD with a bl touch probe. Thanks again for the great content
Legend! Thank You!
Great video and information, thank you!
Now then, how can I adapt my Ender 3 Pro to use a USB stick instead of the Micro SD?
Hero 👍🏻 its was the mbr part of formatting i was missing
I really think using diskpart is the way to go instead of exclusively using Windows built-in tool. Here are the steps I use. Open a command prompt. Run the command "diskpart" It requires elevated privileges. Accept. Then "list disk" .....followed by "select disk x" where x is the number of the drive. Very important to get this right. You can screw up big time if the incorrect disk is chosen...you have been warned. Then "clean"...then "create partition primary"....this can be followed up with a format command but I don't use that. I then close the window and use the built-in tool to format. This will ensure a proper compliant partition table is created and any partitions errors are wiped out from when it was originally written in the factory. The built in tool is fine for formatting but in my experience can miss fixing the partitions.
Thank you soooo much because it was saying my sd chip was corrupted then I did this and it fixed it
Thank you sir!
Something I think that was missed was what type of Micro SD card works best with the 3D Printers out there. Should it be a SD Card or SDHC or XC card? UHS-I U1 or A1 card? Not a dig but just rather certain types of cards work better with the 3D Printers than others.
Thank you sir
Vid:liked
Thank you this was a life saver my micro sd that came with the prrinter decided to die the other night and I couldnt figure out why this one wasn't working either,.
groovy, thanks!
I will be upgrading my E3V2 firmware to Jyers. I have yet to install my BLTouch, do I have to install the Stock V2 BLTouch firmware, before going to the Jyers BLTouch 5x5? Or will the Jyers BLTouch have everything I need?
Thank you very much for the tutorials, I made many attempts and the usb did not work for me, when I saw the tutorial on mac it worked for me.
Occasionally after i start a print the printer stops as soon as it is done with the bed leveling step. I'm using a Soval SV03. I will remove the SD, turn off insert SD, turn on, and then everything works again. Hoping maybe formatting the card correctly fixes this for me :) Thank you for the info on this, very helpful!
Good information, and the hair is so luxurious
Saved my life
Thanks
thanks
You're welcome!
Thank u so much. New sub just now
I’ve done everything like you said in the video and my files are still not showing up, is there anything else I can check or should I just get a new SD card all together?
thanks 😁
I love your vids
Great video. Why did my CR-10 smart pro print fine until yesterday? I printed something and then changed out the filament to print another file and the screen froze and no files showed on the screen. I bought a new SD card and same issue. Formatting new card now and praying. The printer is only 4 months old. Thanks
I bought a used V2 if I format the SD card do I need to leave anything on it for the printer to work or can I leave it empty and just put the G Codes on it once I do a firmware upgrade? I'm also installing a biqu microprobe bed level sensor do you know if and what firmware I need for it and how to put it on the printer? Do I need to re put all firmware on it to do it or can I just ad the BQ firmware. Thanks
Just wondering. After I format this card. Can I still put STL files on it for my 3D printer? (Sorry I only use the SD card that came preformatted with my printer)
I have started sticking labels with the name of the printer onto my SD cards as some printers eg. the Ender 3 save printer specific data to the card
Your a 3d god
i have a chromebook and the sd for my anycubic mega pro has the actual manual on the sd and my computer wants to erase the info before reformat like you explained. how do i retain the info before format? it wont even let me open it before format.
In my experience, if it was not mentioned in the video, have only the bin file on the memory card and nothing else. Every time I have tried to flash the firmware and simply added the file to the memory card with other files on it, I always get the black screen and then the printer will no longer boot up, even after the memory card is removed. It will fix itself though if you remove all other files from the memory card except for the bin file you are trying to flash.
Can you email me the bin file? Accidentally deleted mine and my sd card won't show any g.code on the printer
Can this be done for a 3d printer with a 32 gb version sd card? Thanks
What partition size should I do for a 34gb SD card?
Thank you this was about to make me throw the whole printer away.🤣🤣🤷🏾♂️
Hello DV3D, I recently acquired an Ender 3 Pro 3D printer for a family member. However, I encountered an issue as the printer did not come with an SD card. Consequently, I had to purchase one separately. Could you please provide guidance on how to rectify this situation?
I want to know what sd cards you can use, I've read you can not use sdhc cards
How did you get to that first screen on your computer???
Thanks see you later worth subscribed easy explanation
Get out of my search history I literally just asked this question the other day.
I have a cr10 v3. And my thermistor is lying to me. The info screen is showing information even though it's cool it's showing high temperature. What could be the cause? And when I print something the extruder gets too hot because it's already high in the info screen and the bed doesn't even get hot. Although I checked all the ports for the voltage and it's also good.
Is this compatible with a skr mini?
why MS DOS fat not EXFAT? I'm wanting to reformat a 128gb card, should I format it as an ExFat?
I USE A MICRO SD TO MY CELLPHONE AND IT WORKS VERY GOOD, ONLY WITH FILES ANDROID

im having trouble, i dl a file from thingiverse then take that file and copy it to my sd card, but when i go insert the sd card into the 3d printer it wont read the file at all, its like i never put it in there. im using a bambulab p1s, downloading a STL file. i reformated the sd card like this video showed. i want to also add that i am about 1 week into the 3d printing world. thanks
Hi! I'm sorry I'm just now seeing this. You've probably figured this out by now, but the STL file is the 3D model, and you need to use Bambu Studio to convert that into a G-code file. The G-code file contains the instructions to tell the printer how to print each layer of the model, and the process of doing that is called Slicing, because the software is slicing the 3D model into individual layers. There are various options you can choose when slicing, such as how fast to print, how thin each layer should be, and other stuff. Because of the (relative) complexity of that, the printer depends on the slicer to create a set of instructions it can follow, instead of trying to figure it out on its own.
Hello, I have a Voxelab Aquila C2 and the only SD card I had for my son ,we lost it. Can I buy an SD card that's already loaded with stuff to print ?

Having issues with mine. Let's hope this helps
Mine formats to 32768 bytes/cluster. Any ideas on how to change it to 4096?
I’m sorry I forgot to Thank You for how to format a 16gig micro SD card for a printer to “see”, So THANK YOU. Since I formatted to fat32 I have no problem
Ok 😖my neptune 3 should be here tomorrow, i have a ipad pro, can i slice on my pro ? I DL cura but i cant open file, can i print on my ipad pro, i also ordered a adapter that holds a micro card for my ipad pro ? So confused
Hi! Give Kiri:Moto a look ( grid.space/ ). It's a browser-based slicer, so it *_MIGHT_* work in Safari on an iPad Pro. I have only used it once or twice, from a desktop computer, so I can't offer a lot of advice on it. They do have a video they say is "The Definitive Guide" to using it; give that a watch here: czcams.com/video/08795Sj22QE/video.html
I'm new to 3d printing. Only been printing for a week and my sd card that came with it now says no files found. I did not copy the files to anywhere else. I have an elegoo neptune 2s. I'm going to get another card but how do I get the files from the old one to the new one or do I not need them?
So my sd card when i put it in my computer freezes everything and i got a new sd card but the files i put on it wont show up on my ender 3 s1 if you could help would be greatly appreciated
I only have exFAT and NTFS formats? I am using an old SD card from my old phone. What do I need to do here? Ender3 and 3Pro.
What’s the capacity of the card?
128 & 64
You need to just go buy a 16gb card or smaller...its honestly just less trouble rather than trying to download a partition program...don't do it just buy the 16gb sd card
Can you use a 64 card on the Ender 3 pro ?
Might be an air headed question but what do I do next? I’m getting SD Init Fail
Another excellent video
Can you do this for a 16 gb card?
I used a 4Gb micro SD card for the screen but it wouldn't work for the firmware. My 64Gb micro SD card works for flashing firmware, but not the LCD. Go figure.
Keep up the great vids.
