I still watch all of your videos about painting the models. I learn something new every time
Thank you buddy :)
I am happy to hear that you are becoming more of a fan of American muscle cars. They are amazing in kit form and even better in real life. My car is a 1978 RS Camaro with a 700 bhp supercharged small block chevy putting power through a custom built Muncie M22Z rockcrusher 4spd transmission out to the factory 10 bolt rear. It's not what some consider an American muscle car but it has plenty of muscle for me. I'm currently working on a matching model of my car. I would love to see the late 2nd gen Camaro come back out in kit form.
Looking good the old American cars I think are great looking and I like to build them and enjoy watching you build them.
I appreciate how well you are explaining every step. It's truly helpful.. thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
That is great. Really like the clear and how smooth it is off the gun. Brilliant.
Looks great so far Paul. Nice shade of green after the mix. Looking forward to more updates
You do phenomenal work Amigo!! ...I appreciate all the tips and videos build and enjoy people just need to be kind and respectful to one another
I build this kit years ago. I painted mine metallic purple. I do like your choice of shish kabob green. Thanks for sharing
👍🏻👍🏻🙃🙃
Love your work Paul. Keep it up man. Beautiful job everytime!
Thank you mete
Shizzlekaboob. Great video, sucks about the stray flock but it's still stunning. Really glad you're enjoying the American cars mate, you've inspired me to get back on my Chevelle. Funny talking about the colors on the live HO mirroring your thoughts in this video !
Watched the video to learn about applying foil to the windows of a 58 Revell Corvette kit I’m about to start and got a real hankering for shishkabob. Another well done vid, Paul.
Very nice, love this build Paul !!!!!!!!!!!!
I love old school Monogram kits. I like the green. I'll be watching
One of the best muscle cars models I’ve ever seen ❤️🙌🏼 great job Paul.
Andd after finishing the video. Sheeshkabub 😂
Yet another great video Paul. Schkibob all the way.
Shishkebob and another great video, Paul 👍🏻
Because of circumstances I am working with acrylics and future floor wax...having good results but not as good as this work...excelente!! Amigo!!
Amazing colour
Just came across your channel. Looking forward to watching!
Enjoy mate :)
your lucky, I have to paint in my garage, and the dust drives me crazy, but I live with it, and I'm not doing show cars. Thanks for all your great info videos, they are a joy.
Perfect works !! Félicitations ...
I love this kit iam about to start work on my 3 one of this kit
Great color Paul. I flock in a separate area from where I paint too. I want to do some muscle as well, but I already have a bunch of kits lined up. My 63 stingray had issues with the rear wheels rubbing the body. After the GT350 I just swore off AMT. My problem is most groups I join I see a few car posts, I join, and then find out it's all military modelers that think they can accurately tell the exact shade of a paint color from a WW2 era photograph that has been colorized and then passed around the internet over and over...
Shish kabob s freaking rock. I grill mine.
Great tart to the build as always Paul, I like the green and black shishkabob, should look like a proper muscle car when done!
Love the color scheme, shish kabob!
Wow Paul...looking killer!...flockin' A.
Really nice shade of green
I like that kit because it's fairly accurate. I built one a few years back and got another one in the stash. I wish it had better detail though.
Big Hello from Canada love yr builds i build to
Lovely colour Paul. Good stuff. Shame about the roof flocking, but like you I am not a perfectionist, and it is what it is.
Hilarious intro bro. I love it!🤣🤣🤣
Just placed my first order with Ultimate Modeling Products. Looking forward to using the products you use, especially the sanding sponges. However many of the products I was wanting to order were out of stock which was a little disappointing but I will definitely keep checking back. Love your videos. Very informative.
Yes that’s the issue worldwide at the moment products and supply chains taking a beating due to covid. Thanks for watching Paul
Such nice work sir!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Paul, I have to say again, I am so appreciative of your attitude when imperfections arise. I feel like I get so dejected when I make mistakes or bad luck like this (getting a flock strand or two on the clear). I need to take a more similar approach and practice having a better attitude about it, much as yourself. The build is looking beautiful so far and I also appreciate you liking American muscle cars more and more. Keep up the good work.
Yes it if happens so be it not much can be done but start all over again so I accept the flaws
The build is looking great Paul! The challengers (any MOPAR) had so many options that its really up to you how you want to build it. You could order whatever you wanted from the factory or have dealer added options. That would include interior, engine, body, etc. You are correct about the color being close to the Green Go that they offered. I'm sure on screen it's not the same. BTW I know exactly what you mean about some of these car groups. I've also noticed that the ones who make it unenjoyable are also the ones who never build anything or if they do, the builds look like what I used to build when I was 7 years old with a paint brush. Either way I just sit back and eat a Shish Kabab (no, I didn't use spell check, which is why I probably spelt it incorrectly) and enjoy the entertainment lol!
Love the videos Paul.....comment 6 should definitely get a response. I would like to pre-order the sanding sponges .....I also think you'd have a fine career recording audio books.....nice and calm like a dentist
Haha
Build is looking great Paul and the color looks amazing. Love Shish Kabob.. Yummy. 😄
I love the mid 60"s to early 70's Dodge muscle cars, love the colour you chose looks great, pity about the flock and Shis cabab...
You need to try to get wheels from Fireball Modelworks for this kit. They are three piece, and look amazing...
You got a link?
I love watching the entire build process, but the body painting and 2k clear are my favorite. I'm glad you show the entire process. I'm trying to experiment with different clears. I don't think I have ever seen you use Tamiya clear. Is is just not as good as a 2k clear? Also, nice choice of color. I love the green.
The colour is great, I think that colour green suits the Challenger.
I was doing that Porsche from Tamiya and got stuck with a ghost seam in the middle of the hood that I was trying to make disapear, but the metallic shifting color shows everything, I putted the project away but now I think I will just push trough and stick a racing sticker on top of that, and BTW...Xishkabob
Shishkabob. Good man Paul.
Wow, just wow, beautiful...... get the 71 GTX from Revell, it's an even better kit, and I would love to see your take on it!
I'll check it out!
Hi Paul, great video as always. It's a shame about the flock, but the body does look great. Shishkabob!
Its a nice simple build model. Even though this video is 9 months old , I've got to tell you sometimes the chassis won't fit into the car if you've gotten your front and rear VALANCE panels already glued on many models. Some cars you can get away with this but I don't know about this Challenger because I never really have built this particular kit. I know its the preferred way to get these body pans on and do the body work on them for better realism before it mates with the chassis. I saw your 69 Shelby build videos and you build really sharp models👍🏁
Thank you buddy
SHISHKEBAB What a great color. I thought it was just me seams to be A-holes everywhere
nice sheshkabob green going on there mate
Great build so far paul, all I can say is flock that pesky flocking eh,have you ever heard of or watched 2 movies called 'Vanishing Point' from 1971 or 'Deathproof' from 2007?,both feature these'70 Dodge Challenger cars, worth a look, always thought the word was Shishkebab?,but hey what do I know, lol???,cheers
hi Paul, have just come across your channel and now its my binge watch for quiet time. quick question how to you find and make the paint codes for the models? thanks in advance
Hey Ross just search the factory colours and you will find them
@@InternationalScaleModeller thanks Paul, also to add model building is a mine field the way you deliver and talk through all aspect of building helps out greatly.
should I always use a brush for cement glue or does it have to be a brush? The only cement I can get isnt a brush, will that affect the outcome?
Looks great! When do you start the build of the f1 car?
For our motorsport gb later in the year
My local store has the Oral-B Stages 2 toothbrush, but they don’t have the Mickey Mouse. Would the Donald Duck work or would you opt for the Goofy?
Hmm tough choice I think the Donald Duck one would work but IMO goofy would do a much better job
Hi Paul, just a quick question. When you are waiting the 10 minutes between coats of 2k or paint, do you clean out the airbrush or just let it sit with whatever you are spraying in it?
Great looking mode and great tutorials.
Yes it just sits in the brush does no harm at all :)
Shishkabob...I think/hope that's the Canadian way! Kind regards, Judy
Is it too late to write šiškebab? Good job as always!
I do enjoy your muscle car phase 🤩
And of course.. shish kebab 😁
Good job Paul. Shame about that FLOCKING FLOCKING. Never mind it still looks good. Like Ned Kelly said just before they hung him "Such is life."
Usually where it is shiny paint will not stick !
I usually use my Wife's
makeup brush they are static free and will get rid of the dust
Sheeeeeeessshkabob! Love that colour Paul, very much like Ford Le Mans green, my favourite Mk1 Escort Mexico colour! Shame about the flocking flock. When you did the flocking in the spraybooth, did you actually have the booth switched on?
Yes it was on mate
@@InternationalScaleModeller I was wondering if it was whether it could have stuck to the filter and came off when you were spraying, as you said you didn't know where it came from. I've no clue really though, but it was a real shame Paul.
Those colours look just the bizz.....lamb on a stick
Shish kebob
Shish kabob. Google spells it correctly. My experience with Revell kits has been mixed. Generally, the older kits, often reboxed with no improvements, don't win any awards. But the newer kits, actual new parts, work well, "almost" Tamiya like. AMT kits - waste of money. Thus, I am interested in your experience with the AMT kits carefully chosen.
Sorry not Sorry 🤣 Schkibob 🙈
Shiskaboob....hows that one.....
Haha
Shitscabob😀. Nice color. Limelight green would have been nice also. Or plum crazy purple (not sure if it was offered for that year),the rivet counters would let you know for sure 🙉. You should do a new challenger the same way and put them next to each other.
Take care of yourself and stay safe and healthy.🍻🌲
Do not ever build AMT's 1/16th scale 57 Chevy convertible. It's warped all to hell.
No matter what hobby you do there is always someone who thinks they know better my other hobby is falconry and we always get the bitching people who think they know better.
cant stand a Shish kabob :-)
