    Tomorrow is 1102 for me, after this training I feel sure that all will go well. I know this is really just the beginning of a career and the basics but I HATE those courses, that you sometimes have to pay for, that almost treat you like a child who has never seen a computer before. I really want to thank Professor Messer for this absolutely amazing training, where when you finish a video, you really understand it. I almost did not continue into this field but thank God I found this. Again thank you.

    Currently taking the online course by Google on Coursera and I was honestly so confused before watching this video. You somehow managed to condense an entire course into 20 minutes while somehow making it way more understandable...thank you so much!! Will definitely watch the rest of your videos before taking the CompTIA A+ 🙏🙏

    Can someone explain to me why you wouldn't be running the scripts on the AD Server itself vs why you would run it on the user side at 6:15? I believe I am misunderstanding this but wouldn't it be easier if groups had logon scripts that just come from the server side?

    • @raqoon2730
      @raqoon2730 Před rokem +19

      There are several reasons why you might not want to run scripts on the Active Directory (AD) server itself:
      Security: Running scripts on the AD server could potentially introduce security vulnerabilities, as the scripts could be used to gain unauthorized access to the server or to sensitive data. By running the scripts on the user side, you can limit the potential impact of any security issues that might arise.
      Performance: Running scripts on the AD server could potentially impact the performance of the server, as the scripts could consume system resources or cause other performance issues. By running the scripts on the user side, you can avoid putting unnecessary load on the AD server.
      Scalability: Running scripts on the AD server could potentially become a scalability issue as the number of users increases. Each user running the script on their own machine will be less resource-intensive than running it on the AD server.
      Flexibility: Running scripts on the user side allows you more flexibility as you can run different scripts for different users or groups of users depending on their needs.
      On the other hand, there are also reasons why you would want to run scripts on the AD server:
      Centralized management: Running scripts on the AD server allows for central management of the scripts and ensures that all users are running the same version of the script.
      Consistency: Running scripts on the AD server allows for consistent execution of the script across all users, which can be important for tasks that need to be performed in a specific order or with specific parameters.
      Control: Running scripts on the AD server allows administrators more control over the execution of the script, such as the ability to stop or restart the script if necessary.
      In conclusion, both options have their pros and cons and it depends on the specific use case and the requirements of your organization which option is the best fit.
