Chris was at LAX the day Mr. Welles died and a man walked up to him and handed him a paper open to the announcement of Welles’ death and said to Chris “you remind me of my friend”. A truly memorable experience. ❤️

I am binge watching all your videos. I literally busted out laughing several times watching this one. The basketball to the head, the move your head out of the shot, the dancing, etc., I couldn't stop laughing. Thank you for all of the information on MSC! Too funny!

When we were in the yacht club last September, it was explained that you need to use your sea pass card in order to get from one floor to the other without stoping and we realize this finally six days in.. but that only works if the elevators are not super full and everyone’s trying to get on at the same time.

I have ONLY been in the Yacht Club on MSC (four cruises so far, all upgrades save for one) and I am SOOO spoiled. I have to say my favorite part is the fact that we can get on and off the ship SO FAST (Embarking and disembarking). Getting on within 20 minutes and drinking while we wait is an amazing experience. Disembarking on the last day usually results in lots of glares and comments from people standing in line as a butler pushes past them, but I am OK with that. 🙂
Ha! We’ve been on the other side before… watching YC guests walk right past us… made us dream about joining them… and we did! 🤩🤪🤩

I have to make sure I didn't miss any. But one thing I noticed on my Meraviglia standard cruise last September was the fact that Yacht Club guests always had a different entry onto the ship. There wasn't a tent or sign, just a different ramp leading to the ship and you wouldn't see anyone there. I tried to get on via those entry points and they said it was for the yacht club. Next time look for a crew member standing by the ship door leading off the ramp, that would be the one to go to. Even over in the middle east they have those separate entrances when you return to the ship.
Also, as I mentioned in a different video, I booked deck 16 in an interior cabin, and who knows I might get upgraded if not I don't care. I'm only probably less than 50 feet from the top sail lounge where I'll spend probably 80% of my time if I'm not at port. I doubt I would pay for an upgrade as I paid the max amount on my budget. I'm sure I'll book the YC again, but for now I'm booked up through 2025.
And yes, I was in a solo cabin with the outdoor monitor, and ordered evening room service regularly and paid for it because the pizza was so good. I forgot which one I order but it had pepperoni and some vegetables. 😋
One last question, do you know if the YC buffet or room service offer BBQ ribs? I know they do at ocean cay and other islands that MSC stops at. I would order some everyday!😋😁 Personally, I just like regular foods like fried fish sandwiches, wings, hamburgers and hot dogs. Not into coursed meals so much.
We must’ve missed that separate entrance… we did ask, but they just pointed us to the normal line. No big deal, that worked too.😊
Couldn’t agree more with MSC pizza… out of this world good!
They did have ribs on the buffet at least once, but it’s not on the regular room service menu… however, on Meraviglia, the YC head chef was very clear that as long as they had enough time to prepare and had the ingredients, they would attempt to make you anything you wanted. It was pure pampering in there!!!!😊🤩😊
We did the same in our cabin. We slept until 09:30 -10:00. It was so dark. Loved it!!!

We loved our butler, Camille, and steward, Carl. However, because of the small number of people in the yacht club, we met several other cruisers. Great yacht club experience!!!

Yall got upgraded cause yall bid and won the yacht club interior which is the most sought after of the yacht club suites and they realized they could make more money by putting you in aa deluxe balcony and reselling that interior
Yes you might be right. We would have been just as happy with the interior but thankful nonetheless 😊
Tip -
Have a good swat up online to research your YC areas on the corresponding vessel and how things work. I read the wristband only works to open your door and make purchases. Otherwise, you need the card for the lift , getting off and on the ship and for account information from the concierge.
The priority embarkation seems to be only day 1. Then it's just priority disembarking on port visits and last day.
Could be… our embarkation escort butler explained it differently, but with MSC tech, it can be a little confusing!😜

We just returned from the MSC Euribia’s Yacht Club, and we agree! The elevators just fire the yacht club never worked!!!

We are in the Yacht Club in a few weeks but on the Euribia. You guys are hilarious! After watching your videos, I am so excited to see and experience the Yacht Club.

@@lamlenny we won’t do MSC again. The food quality, even in the Yacht club, was very poor. Service outside of the Yacht Club was not very good. Long waits to be served drinks; up to 1/2 hour; the system they have to serve drinks almost feels like they do the slow service on purpose. The entertainment was good! They had a silent disco which was so much fun! Other passengers onboard were very nice. We met some lovely people. If you keep in mind “you get what you pay for” the overall experience was okay; but we won’t do it again. We will stick with NCL, celebrity, Virgin or Holland America.
We are planning a trip now. And hoping for the upgrade to the yacht club! We are booking a balcony but after watching this series of videos. I want to experience this treat!! Love your vlogs! Y’all are great!!

Thank you for the video. I really like the Yacht Club of the MSC Meraviglia. Inside the elevator you have to activate the priority again with your card. There must be some small box on the wall where you press the card against and then push the button for the elevator level.

Seriously, they pamper you however you want to be pampered. If there’s something you want, ask… and they will do whatever they can to make it happen! We didn’t ask enough… ha!

Unfortunately they do not allow guests in the YC.
I enjoy your videos, thank you. I lol'd about bathroom comfort. It's called "poop (or pee) fright." SAME, SAME, SAME. hahah. I hope the shows haven't changed on all of the ships. We were in the YC on Seaside and LOVED the quirky shows. I'll always remember the random dinosaur that came on stage at different intervals. We'll be on Seascape next, but not soon enough! You said that you couldn't mention crew in your videos (they ARE always the best). Just wondering. Is there a reason, or it's just so it's not an easy out for your 3x3? Elevators - same experience. One night the elevators were so crowded and we didn't feel like climbing stairs from 5 to the YC, so at every deck we tried the elevator and nope. Then on deck 10 or something the elevator opened and it was full, and we started not to get on, but we recognized all of the faces from the the YC. I said, "I know you. I know where you're going, I'm squeezing in." They recognized us too and this super full car went to 16. I'm sure it was coincidence though.

Yes, if we mentioned crew it would always be one of our 3 positives so we don’t. Crew is what makes us coming back to cruising… an element that you don’t find on land vacations to the same extent.
Also we don’t feature crew in videos unless they express an interest in being on video… so many cameras get shoved in the face do we try to be respectful.
Oh I wish we would see a dinosaur… sounds like our Humpty Dumpty.

We were on Seaside last month, and it took us a couple of days to figure out to use the elevator machine with the blue YC sign next to it only. Lol.
Is that the trick?!?!! We felt like morons (and probably were) each time we tried to use that!!! 🤣🥸🤣

My best entertainment was the MSC Big Band of the Sea with and without singers!
Just look for any butler that they have stationed outside and they will escort you to the front of the line back on the ship.
They must’ve been playing hide-n-seek with us those days! (Or, more likely, we just walked by them and didn’t notice)

The Baileys Alexander’s were the best in the Yacht Club. And the Baileys Alexander on the whole ship was better than any place we have had any where!

I have been binging your videos the past few days and i must ask, which cruise line have you both enjoyed? I am right now watching your celebrity refelection videos. I'm hoping after our RC one next year and when we do MSC YC after that, we can do celebrity or even virgin. I'm hoping maybe someday we will see you both and can share a drink or two!!!

We have cruised all the major lines with the exception of Virgin (which we are hoping to remedy soon… hopefully🤞). Don’t know our official number, but over 40 cruises now (which now seems amazing to us… we never thought we’d cruise like this, let alone have a cruise channel🤪)
If you do happen to see us on a cruise, absolutely say hi… we’ll enjoy a beverage and swap stories!!! We love it when folks recognize us and say hello on a cruise!!

Cos it was great all the time when we were on the Meraviligia. We were on deck 9.
The suite bathroom-
In the Mediterranean, its the common for the bathrooms to be of marble. So an MSC thing.
The Fanta !
Fanta was originally German . Coca-Cola bought it in 1958. The European recipe is more original than the 🇺🇸. I personally love the European recipe. The usa one is way too artificial in flavour and scary orange colour!
Coffee-
If you guys ever decide to do an MSC in Europe , you must go on the MSC Europa ship! It has a Coffee Emporium! Incredible 😍☕️
Yep. Floor location can play a major factor in water pressure… wonder if they’d sell us a balcony on deck 16, and a bathroom on deck 2?!?? 🤪😜🤪

Question about the YC pool...Is the only way in and out of the YC pool ladders? ARe there any steps (mobility issues make ladders difficult). Also, what month did you do on this YC cabin trip? Room number? Thank you!
Hi there. We traveled the beginning of June 2023 for this trip. Our room was 16007. Loved being so close to the concierge and lounge… would definitely recommend that deck.
Unfortunately the pool was fairly small and there were no steps down into the water, only ladders. There were steps down into the deck/shelf that surrounded the pool so you could put your feet in.

We have cruised out of NY twice. Once we flew into the city and took public transportation from Manhattan to Red Hook Pier. The other we stayed at a hotel off the interstate in New Jersey and drove in (only an hour away from port) that morning and parked at the port. That was very easy. Not many hotels near the port and not much public transportation around that part of Brooklyn. I think Red Hook Lodge is close enough to walk but I’m not sure anything about it.

Thank you so much for these videos i would have never thought about Yacht Club ( not in our price range). We are this ship 4/28 won an ocean view Fantasticia but onto balcony Areura . Do you remember how far in advance of your cruise you got the email to bid on an upgrade? I’m not even sure if we qualify due to the casino certificate. Thanks again for all the great content

Hmmm, that casino certificate is interesting… have no idea if that’s upgradable or not. We got our upgrade bid about 45 days beforehand… but that timeframe can vary quite a bit. Really depends on how full the Yacht Club is.

I think you have to scan your card not your arm band to get priority elevator. I do agree MSC is a little behind on tech. It's the only cruise brand I have been on where I have to print a boarding pass.
That may change once they have their own cruise terminal in Miami

Oh no !! I love my coffee and I need my half n half and I’m picky I like it medium dark strong and not watered down, so I hope it’s good . That’s unfortunate about the bath products, NCL has nice ones but they were heavily scented. So my question is MSC also scented or unscented? And hopefully it’s just lightly scented. I know I can bring my own but it’s nice to have one less thing to pack. Have y’all ever cruised in the haven ? love your videos y’all are hilarious ! Btw we’re booked on the yc seashore 🎉😅

The coffee was wonderful in the Yacht Club… no matter what we ordered or where we ordered it!!! Hopefully, it’s the same in Seashore YC.
The bathroom amenities were slightly scented for sure.
And we have not cruised NCL’s Haven yet… but we are hoping too soon!!! 🤩
I hope I don't have any problems embarking anywhere , because I have mobility issues, and plan on leaving my walker at home and will be using just a cane 😮 And that's why I paid for yacht club 😊
It would be very hard for us to imagine the Yacht Club wouldn’t make a special attempt to help you onboard at all ports… maybe just mention it to whoever is greeting folks returning to the ship.
They just do a wonderful job at personal attention! 🤩

Those the yacht club have a smoking section
Yes there is always a smoking section up on the Top Sail Top Deck. The size of the space will be determined by the ship and how large the YC is. It never bothered us and we had lunch next to it each day.
Great videos! I've been reading the agreements for upgrades. I'm comprehending conflicting answers on their website. If you bid to upgrade but do NOT have a drink package and you get YC. Do you get the drink package with YC?
Yes… for sure! The top-of-the-line drink package is included for all in the Yacht Club… doesn’t matter if you paid full fare or got it as an upgraded! Whoop whoop! 🙌 🤪

Yep… it’s too rocky for bare feet. We did figure out that the far side of the YC beach had much less rocks… unfortunately, we didn’t figure it out until we were about to leave. 😊

I think that's gonna get fixed when they close for 6 weeks next year, April to May ☺️😉

Beth, I am a salt lover too. What type of salt do you bring on board? I prefer coarse kosher salt. I carry whataburger salt packets in my wallet if salt is not available wherever I am. 😑

My favorite is Maldon sea salt flakes. It has a softness and smoothness that goes with everything. This is what is in my baggie whenever I travel. Ha ha my pockets, purses, truck console all have random packets of salt and it drives Chris bonkers 🤪
