Mistake: Hongkong Tramways open in 1904 not 1984
Yep, I misread the script!
Thanks for sharing, love the HK tramways ❤️
I really love travelling on trams. I am Hong Konger. 😃 Many thanks for your informative video. As a Hong Kong railway enthusiast I even don't know the history of Sharp Street depot which the land is now Time Square and the abandoned track connecting that depot to the happy valley loop.🤣👍
Excellent introduction to the Hong-Kong tramway system.
As a Hongkonger who lives in the New Territories, I rarely traveled on the trams of the Hong Kong Tramways.
Not to worry, I live 200 metres from a beach (in the UK), but rarely go there. Your thought mode is, I can always go there, so I’ll go tomorrow. Love HK, used to live in Stanley, wonderful area.
Nice video. I visited twice from Melbourne where trams are kind of our thing (we have some trams on the light rail up in the New Territories) and really enjoyed using these.
They actually orginated in Britan when it was a colony of the british
And the UK got rid of theirs. Good thing HK kept it
Excellent and informative video!
Probably the nicest and extremely cheapest(!) public transport in the world!
Why hurry, just relax, no it´s not fast.
In general public tranport in HKK is the best you can find anywhere, but this tram all the way from Kennedy town is totally amazing. And in summertime, just transit and take the public bus to the beach, or leave at Central and take the ferry.
That mask transition at 0:08 was so smooth!
Glad you noticed!
@@hiddenhongkong Yes, and the 3D text effects throughout the video is really cool too! Do you mind sharing how you did it?
You need after effects to do it. Here's the tutorial I followed: czcams.com/video/kpygs4J_Co8/video.html
Another great video :)
Nice video
absolutely masterful
Back when My Parents are around *8 or 9 years old they have those single deck trailers (Restricted to only 1st Class Passengers)
*1967 a year of turmoil in Hong Kong
Oh wow, cool!
@@hiddenhongkong here is an example of a 1st class Single deck trailer used between 1965 and 1982 gwulo.com/atom/19307
however due to frequent derailments, Fare classes going out of fashion and being uneconomical to run; they each required a separate conductor, they were abolished in 1982
not to mention the eventual abolishment of the conductor system when Coin boxes or Octopus card readers are installed in the front entrance
ive been there for times already.
Great. My means of getting to and from work.
you hit 500 subs btw
nice video :)
I wonder why those trams have flashing lights when they open their doors
Western Market used to be a real wet market, if I remember correctly.
It still is
fifth, one place lower than last time
I’m sad
bro said 1984
I see a comment but I cajt see it
