      @pochron1105 Před 7 měsíci

      Hi, I know it was a year ago... :) But one should add that the scenes have separate impulse responses and these can significantly change the character of the amp. For me it's enough to classify Amp Academy as something comparable to "a floor", even though a tiny one. 😉

    • @akshaysharma2786
      @akshaysharma2786 Před 7 měsíci

      @@pochron1105 Its too much pedal but it's hard to learn to use it.
      It's like learning to play the pedal board is different from Learning guitar.
      I have kept sticky scenes and have 2
      amps one fender channel A 1st amp
      and 2nd the British blues on channel 2 .
      It's great for me as I did not have
      A compressor pedal nor a reverb.
      So I get those 2 from the signal chain of amp academy.

  • @christopherjbutler
    @christopherjbutler Před 2 lety +1

    Hey Scott, There was a second firmware update AFTER the Pro Scenes one that fixed the SAVE / LOAD bug that could cause you to not be able to load an individual amp back in once you save it. Further, when you try to load it back in, it nerfs that amp's settings back to factory, rather than just not loading successfully. That secondary firmware update is a must.

  • @Guyinadifferentroom
    @Guyinadifferentroom Před 8 měsíci +1

    I just got this thing, I wanted it for tight space home recording, mostly distortion simulations. I've been finding it doesn't seem to save exactly as I set it up. Not that intuitive to use either. I got like 4 days to decide if I want to return it. Vids like this help, at the very least it looks like I can get great individual sounds out of it. It does record clean. I'm definitely not a good producer yet but I get better every time I work on something.

    Too bad that it is not possible to copy one scene to another scene, even in the same amp. That means if you have a good setup for scene 1, and you just want to set it without reverb on scene 2, you are obliged to re-set all tunings one by one for scene 2. I did not find any copy/paste feature ... :( .. And the export feature exports ALL scenes, so here also it is impossible to export only scene 1 to import it as scene 2.. If you find a tip ... ;)

      I've just got mine and patched it to firmware v2. Is it a normal thing to have very little gain/distorsion on Channel B amps without any boost ?

We discussed this in a live chat before: Hopefully this nudges NUX to give us the MG-30 amp modelling but in 4K of the '65 Deluxe Reverb and AC30 Top Boost to go up against the UAFX pedals recently released :D

    Thanks for the video! One question if you could give your opinion... I am building an amp-less pedalboard, and have been looking for the best amp/cab/power amp replacement for a while. I am now pretty much decided on the Simplifier DLX, which is around 400 euros. Not too cheap, but it seems the best choice in that price range. However, I don't need all the features it offers, I would be perfectly happy with one pedal that has a nice sound, even if it is just one "amp" simulation. I am not sure how NUX compares in sound quality/emulation with Simplifier. Simplifier is all analog, which is a plus I guess. However, NUX seems to sound very good...and for a 50% less price. Huh, not sure what to get anymore

    Just taken delivery of an NGS6. Manual implies it is just plugged in and links to PC, DAW and Editor app. It doesn't ! None of those recognised the unit. Tried updating drivers but that didn't help. Took me half a day any several emails to the supplier and NUX before finding out that I had to ignore the message on the software updater that says the NGS6 could not be detected before updating the firmware. Why do I have to do that anyway? Surely the supplier - Artist - and/or NUX should ship a turnkey product. It's not for Customers to make things work! After updating and trying many combinations within the editor found that NO combination was to my liking. The only good thing about the NGS6 is that it is a nice clear i/f into my Reaper DAW. Otherwise I don't like it at all!
