    Can’t wait to check this out! I have hours and hours of live gig time using this pedal. I use the chop tones mastered studio IR pack (big upgrade to the sound in my opinion). Will check this out tomorrow!

    Holy Moly, JCM2000 got added!
    And the feature I missed and asked for, a way to lock the knobs.
    Time to update my AA’s.

    Jimmy, question for you. How do I save my presets (or back up for later access)? I stored a great sounds on Channel A, Scene 2 that I want to save on Channel A, Scene 1. Can't seem to find a way to do this. BTW, downloaded this pack, your sounds are monstrous and are really phenomenal with the stereo effects engaged. I also have the HX Stomp (got it a few months ago, have yet to still work with it). Thanks for the inspiration!!

    Excellent. I did the update today and my pedal started throwing a lot of errors, the sound cracked and the pc app doesn't work at well, do you have any idea what it could be?

      Tones are suggestive. You be the judge. Watch my videos to make your own mind.

    I'm a little confused by the 5150 model. it seems almost unusable after only a little gain

    Why is amp academy so noisy without noise gate engaged? Even on clean amps…

    • @jimmyrocks43
      @jimmyrocks43  Před 6 měsíci

      Single coil pickups are always noisy.

      @@jimmyrocks43 Exactly, but i checked also with my Gibson 498 and 490 humbuckers. It is heard best using headphones output (but through DI out also).

      @@Alex5TE The computer monitor in close proximity always adds a good bit of noise. If you unplugged, you will probably experience a lot less. Also adds noise if you are not using noiseless pickups.

    Is it just me or every amps in the AA has more "definition/ clarity" after the update? Thoughts?

      I noticed that, too!

      Thanks for the video. I hope they also increase IR slots, free slots size went down to 10, Unlikely but if there's 5.0 update with 6 more amps the free IR will be down to 4. Anyway I combine the amps with free God's cab IRs for killer sounds.

      They didn’t touch the old amps, recorded and compared, I own 2 AA’s, only one with the new firmware at the moment.
      I wish they did though, since the volume on the previous models can go way to high up, not fun getting the ears blown out when setting up sounds again after such an firmware update while the AA is connected to a poweramp and cabs.
      NUX somehow forgot that it is used as a preamp as well, so them volumes should be aligned to the 6 new models which have appropriate max. volume levels.
      As example, if the JCM800 is set the same as the JCM2000, I need to use the EQ post the 800 and turn the EQ master volume down to have the same dB out of my speakers.
      Same pre update, since the amp models do sound best with their volume from 40 and up and my power amps from around 10 o’clock.
      That forces me to use the EQ pre outputs to align the level so it matches up.
      Without the EQ either modeller volume or power amp volume needs to be set ridicules low, which doesn’t even align what I’m used to from real amps.
      Ranting a bit, but a bit annoying that they didn’t look into it, at least they looked into locking the knobs besides adding 6 additional amps and IR’s for free.

    • @jimmyrocks43
      @jimmyrocks43  Před 7 měsíci

      @@JoeBaermann did you try to use the level of the IR part to control the overall volume?

    • @JoeBaermann
      @JoeBaermann Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@jimmyrocks43 Only to align the XLR with the Jack output, the Jack output goes to a guitar poweramp with real guitar cabs, so IR is disabled on that one.
      Using amps and cabs backline, XLR to front of house for recording and PA, since the custom IR I purchased from ChopTones sound very close to my speakers, would need one of them mics from Austrian Audio to get that close.
      I know it’s old school still using amps and cabs, but it’s just not the same rocking with inears.
