This is exactly what I want to do with my X3. About how long did it take?
Its weird that they would allow long press on the door to lock the door and fold in the mirrors but you can't do that from factory with the keys. Lol.
Surely you need to have mirrors with motor to code the folding mirrors right or do they all come with motors but it's not coded in. I just bought Msport e87 15 plate
can I do it with E60? and run the engine without putting the key in the dashboard?

For the bmw x5 xdrive 30d have the M-sport exhaust but I don't get better sound from it.. can this app work to keep the exhaust valve in the open position which can give better sounds from the sport performance exhaust????

Actually you can’t simply code out split screen with this. You need a cracked software update. Takes about an hour.

I'm about to get VEEPEAK because of you! Thanks! I just got my first BMW this week (2009 E93 328i) and I'm excited to try some coding! I'm after the mirror folding, and hopefully seats moving when entering/exiting --- although I'm not sure if it will work if I don't have Comfort. Hopefully this works!

@@TommyLGarage Box literally just came for VEEPEAK. Another person told me that I won't be able to code my top to open and close w/ my FOB, apparently the firmware was updated in 2011 and doesn't support it anymore? :-( I will try the mirrors now for auto-fold and let you know!
Darn, it does not work. It does not give me any errors when completing, but mirrors still do not auto-fold with FOB, windows and stop still do not operate from FOB, and for some reason my Daytime Running lights (Angel Eyes) will not turn back on... the Angel Eyes only turn on when I turn on the parking lights :-( I played with it also through the regular settings in the dashboard, and can't get them back on w/o turning on parking lights... noooooo.... :-/

Did you know that you can override the folding of the mirros with the left/right switch? So you can put them on fold when locking the car and when you want to take a picture just switch the little switch and they will not fold

If you have xenons then no. If you have LED lights then yes! I’ll have a video on advanced coding in a few weeks

No it doesn’t. You need a tune for that actually or just unplug in open positions.

Hi, great video and very informative. I have a question and hope you can advise. I have a dashcam installed and I have changed the head unit to a 3rd party Android device. Is it still safe to use bimmercode with these connected? I cannot "disable" the Android head unit.
Yes it’s safe. No issues at all. It just won’t work to code headunit specific parameters
Hey Tommy, how do you remove the Cold-start on Bimmercode? Is it possible to do so? I have an F82 and wake up early, need to make nice with the neighbors!
To remove cold start you need a tune. I used bootmod3. I had the same reason as you.
Great video, I just Sub to your channel. Question: I was wondering, on some M3 and M4, the eye lids above the angel eyes light up and some don't. Is it just me or are they all suppose to light up? Or is it something that requires coding to have them light up?

Good catch. 2018 xenon lights were upgraded and they no longer have the upper brow which lights up. 2015-2017 xenon headlamps has the brow.

Hey fam, I have a 2010 E90 with the halogen headlights set up that I just converted all the bulbs to LED's. Now to have done that I want to change my DRL's to the Halos as opposed to the high beams which is the way they are now. Can that be done with this app?

I don’t thjnk you can do it. You’d need the mirror-mounted electronics that are part of lane keep assist etc.
When you undo the coding by using the backups, does the bimmercode undo the specific coding change or all the changes that have been made after and including the date of your choice? Thanks

You can use it across any BMW. Once you buy it once you should be fine

My 2013 f30 supports neither the head unit nor sounds for this even though I have the ((CIC?))larger nav unit.
My tire pressure units won’t show as well even though I enabled it. I just see the tires greyed our on the Vehicle Info screen.

It’s all within the app and is super easy. Just download the app and get veepak and you’ll be able to get it done
I have issues connecting. I plug in the OBD scan tool (Veepeak OBDCheck BLE OBD II Scan Tool) and the blue light is on but it is unable to connect. I have paid for the full BimmerCode version. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

Yes it will. But you also may have an airbag light which needs to be reset not with this

So I want to code the amber lights off on my headlights I got the tools and it seems like an easy process, but I have an ECU tune from a local garage not BM3.
When the can resets for the headlight/taillight changes will my tune be reset also?

No, coding is separate from the tune. You will be fine doing just coding and your tune will remain intact

Curious if you have figured out how to code a less intrusive DSC setting yet such as euro mdm or cs mdm? Is that doable with this app and obd scanner?

@@TommyLGarage are you sure? I don't think bimmercode offers mdm coding. Looks like THOR offers mdm, diff, and steering coding, but that costs $170 in app purchase + $65 for their dongle. I was hoping bimmercode at least had mdm options in expert mode but it doesnt look like they do.
I got the Vlinker BT+ it shows the green light and blue light, then the blue light goes away and it does not connect to my iPhone. Any reason? I have the 2018 x5

Is it really a good idea to code several items at the same time? I did and halfway through got an error and every thing went haywire. Plus if you done several at a time you would be able to revert just one of them back and they all will have to go back to original.
It takes the same amount of time. One line of code or 15.
Do all of these apps have proprietary bluetooth adapters or will they work with any bluetooth adapter?

Can this be used to have apple car play in full-screen mode or make Sport the default mode when starting the car. I honestly did not buy this car to be driving in efficient mode; I get annoyed every time I start the car in efficient mode.

I have a 2011 e90, my coding works perfectly for everything besides the footwell module, it says “coding this control unit is not possible because a critical error has been detected” I don’t know what to do to solve this
