All these Iron Man retro card figures look so appealing the bright and vibrant colours add to the retro vibe
My issue w/Whiplash is his wrist isn't strong to pose with his whip above his head in a single hand. It doesn't take long for the weight to swing it down so it ends up needing to be rested on the ground or his green plume.
Great review! He was originally Whiplash in the comics and then changed to Blacklash.
Whiplash is my favorite of this wave because it really is in line with the retro. Mark 10 or 9 or whichever it is also fills that role. Gold IM and 20 and She-Hulk are sweet but I think of 90s mullet Iron Man with this card. We all have our own experience. I hope they put the armored Mandarin and Crimson Dynamo on this card too. I hope for Unicorn, Melter, Living Laser, Classic Boomerang, and some allies in Force Works like Century. Just more Hasbro.
I like it. I got it at Target.
Very much looking forward to getting this one! He does look great! Thank you for this awesome review mate! I have Iron Man issue #123 and he is referred to as Whiplash but the comic version is orange and purple. Also he shared the cover with Blizzard and a villain we have yet to have in Legends form, Melter. Hopefully we get him someday.
I'm so happy we got this figure. Come one, Hypnotia! 🤞
And Century!
Great review Sir! Tipping the scales towards me buying it!!
I saw him at Target about a couple weeks back. I only grabbed Nefaria, since he was FINALLY greeting A figure.
I gave ‘Lash a once over, not impressed, so passed for now. They still have not restocked.
Or even stocked at other stores. 🙄
So tired of NOT being able to find ANYTHING at retail, or finding out MONTHS LATER a wave was exclusive and several are now 2-3x original price. 🤬🤬🤬🤬
I still want IM2 Final Battle Vanko in ML form. And his Iron Brigade Drones. I think MU got some of those? And uber-expensive foreign market figures. OFW
5:29 Bucky-Cap hands in 2024? Surprising. Since they usually use the trigger finger gripping hands for the UK body, like with Bonebreaker, Hatut Zeraze, and Crossfire. Sometimes they even have the up and down wrist articulation. The fists also look small. It's like they didn't give him the regular UK fists.
Just got themis figure in yesterday. So review is perfectly timed. I have always called him Whiplash. But they really have made Whiplash the MCU character from Iron Man 2 and Blacklash is the Comic version . Well let's just call him Black Whiplash lol.
I refer to him as Blacklash.
Incorrect, he became Blacklash in Iron Man #146 1981, not in the 1990’s
No I said the Cartoon called him Blacklash during the 90s as that’s what he was called during that time in the comics, I never actually made reference to when he initially become Blacklash, misinterpreted what I said is all likely my own fault 🙏🏻
Nice whip. Wonder how much mileage they'll get out of it.
