100% gonna build me some of those magnetic clamps now what a great idea and execution
Thank you for watching
Talking to a friend about Vevor. Went to read up on Vevor and found this video. I assume it’s a Chinese company “based” in California.
Good idea. Answers my suggestion about the fixture holes. I have the same clamps with a 5/8 bolt welded to the bottom.
Ditto on bolts from TS.
They are definitely a Chinese company, but have warehouses in the United States. Most of my items arrive in 2-3 days.
Brilliant, perfect for small to medium projects.
If this hasn't already, you need to get the patent on this, you are such a engineering designer. You need to be recognized for it 😁
I came to say the same
Thing this is something people would buy for a good amount
Ditto from me as well. Patent!
I'm burnt out on the horrible patent process. Years of your life and money tied up only for a design to be stolen. Been there and done that!
Not enough talking. Outstanding job. Clamps so no drilling holes in your new table.
I agree, I'm a Industrial & Systems Engineer and this is Amazing. Can't wait until the next Video & Live Stream 👍
You weld a mini receiver hitch on the magnet where different clamps could fit on it. It save from having to buy lots of magnets.
I might do something like that on a larger magnet or two.
Great move to the project style videos but I love all your video presentations. Thanks. Chip
Glad you like them!
Great idea, I learned my self about patenting idea for tools. It so simple for another person to change one measurement, angle, even color and they can steal your ideas. HF does it all the time. It’s better to be first to the market and capitalize as much as possible before the next guy
Yep, I got burned and the process is not set up for success.
Marvelous idea, Andrew. I own several Vevor products and will buy more, but I found some 220# mag clamps on Azon for $30 a pop.
Love your idea to make sure they were 90 degrees, which makes them more valuable. I love watching other fabbers make good tools and aids to fabrication, so I just subbed, too.
$30 is a steal, mind sharing the link?
great idea definately going to make me some
Thank you for watching
Might want to get some anti spatter welding spray to keep the welding "berrys" from sticking to your clamp bars.
Ordered some yesterday
Awesome :)
I'm fascinated! The older you get, the wiser you get! Just imagine once you're 40!!! Just two more days, LOL
Don't remind me 😒
way good idea and your right i cant guess what your gonna build! ill just let it be a supprise!
Sure sure 😉
@@TKCL lol im forgetful in my old age!
Hi, Mr. Thinker Tinkerer! You continue to amaze me!
Hey, thanks!
I love this.
Awesome clamp idea. Love the channel. Thanks for sharing. 😊
COOL!!!!!!!!
Genius!
You should patent that!
Loving the 4K format. Nice clamps.
Thank you for the feedback, it takes forever to process and edit 4k, but if people are enjoying it I'll keep doing it.
@@TKCLit brings the videos to a whole new level. Makes them feel more of an immersive live experience. You have moved the needle of excellence up several notches. Keep up the amazing work.
Very handy to have for sure.
Very slick idea, Andrew! I'm excited to see what's coming next.
Thank you for watching sir
Good day to all.
Yes it was
Whodathunk - besides you that is. Ingenious gadget, simple to build, pretty cost effective and so versatile. Those should be soooo helpful on your projects👍 You're gonna have the sweetest setup and be the envy of all!
They will definitely be helpful
Another neat project done! Keep them coming bud!
Thanks! Will do!
Love the ingenuity! Great ideas and great content
Thanks so much!
Great little how to project...loved it
Thank you! 😊
Make 1 with a corner L shape for a gate or something
I really want an iron cutting machine like yours, unfortunately no one sells it in Indonesia. manual cutting with a hand grinder really hampers working time.
Ive been cutting with a grinder forever, this saw makes work so much quicker in thick steel.
Yes, the machine makes it very easy to cut large volumes of steel and angled cuts. I hope machines like this are sold in Indonesia. good luck bro, I always watch your content. I hope God answers my prayers to be able to buy this quite expensive machine@@TKCL
I'm just a fringe welder trying to be successful @@TKCL
Very nice I'd liked
Thanks for liking
Necessity is the mother of all inventions absolutely love this, and I think I’m gonna make me a couple for my welding table that is very similar to yours
Go for it!
Easy to build , useful tool. Good job thanks for sharing
Glad you like it
That’s a great idea, looks like it works great for what it is!!
These are so handy!
You are a problem solver for sure. Great job.
Thanks 👍
This is great !! I will be picking up one of these magnets and modifying it to fit my fireball maximus clamp
They offer larger sizes on the same magnet page posted in the description. If you are going to be applying much force, get a more powerful magnet.
Nice clamps!
Love them
🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔. I'm liking this new tool you came up with 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I love it
Brother, it looks like you got a new business idea. you need to look into making theses clamps for sale.
Revashelf makes something for kitchenaid mixers that you may be able to utilize for the saw. Its an undershelf shelf that folds out and levelish with the counter or table.
I've seen those, sadly I need it on be on the ends so I can run long material down the table. I didn't build that possibility in.
Yeah ud have to build another support for material. @TKCL
going to get 660 lb. for my welding table also going to make something I can mount my 1/2 inch to create my own simple magdrill
I just bought their 880lb magnet, it's very strong.
You should think about adding different receiver tubes at different heights so that you may adjust the height of the vise and/or bench grinder. You were holding that Dewalt grinder pretty awkwardly high during operation.
A drop tube is no problem to make.
Hi Andrew, good video, interesting. If there’s a way you will find it. I am liking Harbour Freight myself. 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
I shop there often for non daily use or heavy duty items I need to rely on. All have actually worked out very well.
They had to use something less magnetic for the end caps such that the field lines would not be disrupted as much. Duh lol.
123k plus subs 💪
They put aluminium on tge sides and the ends so that it concentrates the magnetic flux in the "middle" (the open but underneath. Remember, the magnet is always on.
Putting a steel endplate on there will make it magnetic too...
I figured it had to be for a reason, good to know. The end isn't magnetized when off, but it is slightly when on I noticed. Doesn't seem to affect anything while welding.
I was channelling you today Andrew, you need a shirt WWAD (what would Andrew Do) 🤣 I did accomplish my goal without killing myself and reused scrap stuff so haven't paid out any money yet, the final bit I just might have to - that being said, Thank You!
Thank you for watching and the support
I spy with my little eye, a roller in the background. Is that a metal roller for some future projects, by chance?! 🙃
Sure is, I just picked up several tools for metal working. All kinds of projects planned.
I thought the magnetic field may have been interfering with your welding... I didn't think about aluminum. We had some strong magnets at work for our food grade metal detector - they could only be moved in the plant when in plywood boxes. Split a guy's fingertip when one clamped onto a handrail he was passing.
Funny you mention this it does mess with the welding when in the on position. This was only when welding to the magnet itself.
Really cool mod for those magnets. Like another set of hands for you. So how much are you going to start charging to build welding tables?
No time for that 🤣
Oh
Oh boy!
Dammit now I need magnets
Bro try making a drill press with that magnet
I have a mag drill, it's awesome.
Magnets 🧲 are definitely a great help on weldin tables
Definitely!
2nd
Bonjour il fait combien en puissance l'aimant ? Merci
220lbs. They make much larger ones.
Are the magnets strong enough to just set on top of the metal and then activate?
Only thin metal. It won't work through hollow 2 inch tube.
Nice table but I priced out the magnets for your clamps and at $90 per magnet I think I’ll be going another route
I paid $54 per magnet, not sure where you are seeing $90. Sign up with Vevor for an instant discount and use this code VVPRO for 5 percent off your order. You must have priced out a higher load rated magnet, or didn't see the discount price under the "retail" price.
These will cause weird arc blow when your welding. That’s why nobody sells these.
I completely disagree unless welding to these while engaged like I did when adding the clamp support. I've already used these many more times on several different projects. Welding to material these are clamped to has made zero difference in the arc or Weld.
did you paint your gate yet
Nope..... Been windy and cool.
Idea: you dont need to patent, really not worth the time. However, you could fabricate the end plate for sale, people would be more apt to purchase the magnet and then your product to go with it. Meaning that many people dont feel confident to fabricate the end plate accurately. Or sell/ trade the idea to Vevor for product?
Not a bad idea
Heat is honna ruin that magnet
Many months and projects later, zero issues.
you are a natural born tinker
I try
Why not just weld the clamp to the side of the magnet assembly? Am I missing something?
Don't get me wrong. They look slick.
You're missing that the clamp can't slide all the way down allowing the threaded portion to go to the table and pin something as thin as sheet metal. It needs the spacing to allow the slide clamp to go down past the cast piece.
@@TKCL Yeah, I got that part but if you weld the same bit of square tube to the steel side of the magnet and then to the clamp, wouldn't you have the same net effect but without fabricating the end cap? Plus, I'd think the original end cap would be a better square "stop", no? Maybe it's 6 or a half dozen but we're all just spitballin' in the shop, right?
The prob is the magnets are $72 each.
They cost me $54 each after signing up a email for their discount and using the 5 percent off code I provided. The big problem is a fixture table this size is around $4,000 to use their fancy clamps. You do the math!
Why not close a deal with Vevor (don’t know how to spell it) to sell your idea? You think of it and design, they get to patent and sell it for a small fee 🤔
