    Just got a 6.2 kit last night at the track. Cool that the diff hasn't changed, exactly the same as my FT B4

    Awesome video. I'm in the process of building my b6.3d and I finally figured out that the short waterfall is for the stand up transmission only. The long waterfall is for both the laydpwn and layback. I hope this helps other people. It was killing me. I'm setting up a layback, I hope it works out well.

    Awesome video mate! Helped me so much with my first stadium truck build that I thought I’d just use for a bit of fun with the step daughter but have now signed up with a local 1/10th club and going to give the novice racing a go, thanks again from Adelaide, Australia

    Very nice build video. Lots of great information.
    I'm in the process of assembling my first Team Associated kit as well - the RC10 B6.3 2WD buggy. I built both the included gear diff that came with the kit, as well as a ball diff for my buggy. One thing I'm definitely happy I went with was a Protek RC precision caged thrust bearing kit instead of the included loose ball thrust bearing kit. SO much easier to build.
    Keep the great content coming!

    LOVE THIS VIDEO SO MUCH AND THANK YOU FOR BEING SO DETAILED!
    Lately I have been interested in getting a stadium truck and because I used to have a few of these in the 90's I was inspired to return to this model and searching for the best brand to get. This thing looks SWEET but I might get the latest t6.4 not sure yet unless I can find a good deal on this one instead, not sure what the difference is yet but I just wanted you to know when I came across your video I really enjoyed the finest details you were able to show in this video, thank you!

    • @netcruzer
      @netcruzer  Před 6 měsíci

      6.4 biggest changes will be 13mm shocks. That does make it more plush but only after you tune the pistons for a bit more flow (at least that was an issue on the new buggy needing to add holes for better performance). New bigger shocks, some hub changes, and a slightly revised front end kick up geometry.

    • @FrogDick
      @FrogDick Před 2 lety +1

      As far as I can tell, the gear cover only fits on the stand up transmission. Makes sense really. You don't need the gear cover if the body shell is completely covering the gears.

    Is that a Traxxas LS2 on the wall? Nice! I have a few Traxxas SRTs and TCP(even nib). The SRT was the last race kit however it’s still supported. Believe it or not the Nitro Rustler was originally going to be the Nitro SRT(GRT) with few changes but Traxxas got out of the racing scene. Why the entire front end of the N. Rustler and rear suspension is shared with the SRT. The electric rustler has nothing in common with both trucks except the internal gear ratio with the SRT. You could easily convert the LS2 to a SRT with a nitro rustler front end, SRT lower&upper chassis, SRT rear tower. Someone sells them on eBay in carbon fiber. The transmission, motor plate/guard, battery box and steering post are the same between the LS2 & SRT. Hell you can even use the VXL transmission gears/diff. This will allow you to basically run your old truck again with little worries.

    • @netcruzer
      @netcruzer  Před 2 lety

      Yes! TRX Pro Blue Eagle LS2. 😁👍 Awesome you still have the SRT and a TCP! The last of the Traxxas Pro racing RCs. I’ll be keeping it an LS2, it’s has a lot of sentimental value to me and I won my local race series in 1994 with it.

    What measurement are you turnbuckles set to? I did mine in which what I think was the right measurement but the front wheels are definitely not correct. I know you mentioned it was not to scale which I think is part of my problem. Great video by the way!

    • @netcruzer
      @netcruzer  Před 3 lety +1

      The values written are correct the image itself is not to scale. You can use a digital caliper to get it spot on, a tape measure can be off a bit from your viewpoint.

    @simonkubacki9823 Před 3 lety

    I know this is kinda a dumb question, but how much better on a race track is something like this then say a Arrma senton short course track? Thanks

    • @netcruzer
      @netcruzer  Před 3 lety

      IMO Short Course trucks got popular because they look good, and the tires tucked help with collisions not upsetting the vehicles as much so it’s great for new novice racers. However, short course handle by far the worst out of all race classes. A stadium truck handles like a buggy with wider stance and more contact patch from big tires.

I won't even go as far as saying if these American brands were built in America the quality would be better but what I will say is I would like to support my country and people working in my country. TLR and the Associated race kits are made in Taiwan. Taiwan isn’t mainland China.
