- Hi guys. In this one I'm taking a look at Hobbywing xrotor 60a stack with the new F7 FC. I'm in love with everything Hobbywing produces and this new F7 fc is just a continuation of amazing products. If you value my opinion be sure to get this one. It's absolutely amazing!

pretty slick job using the 20x20 holes for wire routing! excellent info about the gyro sensitivity looks like I have some cleaning up to do on my setup! looks very good thanks for posting!

Pretty good stack. I just put one in my squirt. The supply Literature kinda hard to read. The pads on the fc are marked better than what’s on paper. Other than that prett solid stack👍🏼👍🏼

the cable which connects the ES. and the FC it's correctly wired? I think you have to change some cables which are not in the right position.
I have the same question. I am mounting an F7 with the 60 ESC and the instructions do not match the cables. My question is if changing the firmware of the F7 would correct that because before I used firmware from another board.

Do you notice with this stack that it takes a while for the FC to initialize? Like I’ll get the esc power beeps but it takes a bit for the FC init to beep.

Got the same ESC but for some reason I do not get a single clean solder on the motor pads... went back to a Mamba practice pad, no problem there and fixed a few pads on an iFlight FC, again no issues. Yet on this Hobbywing ESC I cannot solder any pad... did you have any problems with yours? Idk why mine is not working...
It's the conformal coating. Turn up the heat or use flux.
@@mrRockwellFPV worked with higher temperature, though I why is that not a problem with the FC solder pads?
@@MJBold_1 it is when you keep the rip on the pad for too long. Just a quick touch and that should do the trick.
@@mrRockwellFPV yep, works quite well now. Am still relatively new to soldering and was not used to use as high temps yet. Was normally around 375 degrees celius but these pads work much better with 400 degrees. Anyway, thanks for the help!🙏

Because when it first released it was shipped with this fw. Soon after that it got updated with correct target
What a firmwire mess Hobbywing! So in the end correct target is "HOBBYWING_XROTORF7CONV" , or "Hobbywing f7 con" or "FFLYOOF7DUAL" , just change the manual guys?! Thank you for the video! HobbyWing should produce one to set things straight about this board. O, and what is that nonsense about "Zadig tool" we must use first...
Hey trying to build my first drone. Can someone explain to me what the longest cable/all white solderable cable is for? He either called it a "dgi" or "dji" cable. I'm not familiar with it and Google Is just showing me stuff for dji drones lol
It is for DJI vista or airunit video system. This FC has ability to connect to dji video system without soldering.
@@mrRockwellFPV Awesome thank you so much. Maybe you can also answer this question. There are two different cables that connect the ESC to the flight controller. Why are they different and which one should i be using?
@@andyhoughtaling6319 only one fits. The wider one is for brain raddix FC or generaly FC's that use that type of connector.
@@mrRockwellFPV both of them have the 10 terminal plug for the ESC on one side and the 8 terminal plug for the FC on the other side. I tried them both, and they both plug into the FC and ESC.
One of the cables has no wires going to the first two terminals on the ESC plug. The remaining 8 terminals on the ESC plug go in a straight line to their respective terminals on the FC plug.
The other cable also has no wires going to the first two terminals on the ESC plug, has no red telemetry wire, and the GND and CRT wires switch places as they go from the ESC to the FC.
So one plug with all 8 wires in a straight line, and another plug with CRT/GROUND crossing and switching places, and no red telemetry wire. Both plug in though.
