I finally made my 4s2p 18650 pack thanks to you and it works great I used sanyo 10amp 3500 mah batteries, I now want to build a pack with same configuration but 4s 3p whats your thoughts on this please? I'm trying for more mah. But if pack is any taller the hatch won't close on my ar wing pro. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks again

Thank you for this detailed explanation. Would you make a video on the applications you are using for these batteries. I am going to use mine on an EDF Jet 90mm. Would a 6s 6p of 4500mah and 50A be enough to keep the jet in the air. Also would you explain how the readings during flying of these batteries work? In Lipo I start landing when the 6s announce me a voltage say about 22v. But I noted in case of LIion the reading is 2000 , then the pilot said still 1500 and it’s time to land.. I am not sure what the number 1500 he was talking about, is it mah !? . Also , how these batteries are rated 50A, then the pilot says he was able to pull 120 amps, are the Amps of each battery added together? Many question marks ⁉️

Got a question, How would you wire a 6S2P with the same configuration as the 4S2P?
( 6 Batteries per layer, 2 layers, just like the 4S2P except using 12 batteries)
    Thanks,
    Ron

Awesome. It's doable but you need really good isolation between the rows because "the fold" would be just on one side after a half of the layed down pack. It's really dangerous because if the insulation is not sufficient it will short your pack.

Now that you have spot welder and good with soldering what's your preferred method to build high performance packs for drones? I'm also wondering which method would allow good conductivity in high amp draw situations. Like 50-100Amps.
From what's I've heard(from experienced people building packs), soldering is better in high amp draw situations with thicker guage wire.
I'm deciding on the best approach and i have access to either of the methods.
Thanks for the video detailing your experience. And warnings more importantly :)

Browse through my videos and look up soldering tutorial. Also the one with 21700 shows how safe soldering is if you know what you are doing. But to answer your question. Esther method would work but I honestly think soldering is my preferred method.

Since it's bridged both sides negative. Both sides positives. Connecting both negative to positive on both sides just for extra current?
    Hard to explain
Guess this why I seen nickel steps in box shape.

This is only video around on how to do 4s2p 18650 what were calling a stick battery pack so thanks, I'm going to give this a try as soon as my batteries arrive and have watched this several times but still worried about folding it up just somewhat confusing, so i guess on the balance leads cell one will show one cell voltage, cell 2 twice the voltage and so on are the cells in order I mean side by side? Great video thanks new subscriber

What kind of tape is that you used to tape the ends of the batts and tape the batts together?

when doing a 2P battery, what are the risks of having one of the pair being not adequatly balanced? (e.g., battery1 has 4.1, 4.1, 4.1, 4.1 V and battery 2 has 4.3, 4.3, 4.3, 4.3 V on each cell, accounting for an average of 4.2) and risquing unbalanced battery? I did a 3S2P and this is woring me a little :)
