  • The Southern Hemisphere's largest pub has gone green! This famous North Brisbane hotspot, the Eatons Hill Hotel ‪@EHhotel‬, has made the switch to solar to offset a large portion of its electricity consumption. The EH reached out to Springers Solar in 2022 to find out how they could improve their sustainability model with the addition of solar.
Eager to reduce their environmental impact and save on their electricity bills with the recent addition of the Comiskey Distillery, Springers Solar customised a bespoke solar solution to achieve their unique energy goals.
200 x 500W ‪@TrinasolarPV‬ Vertex S solar panels were installed on the EH's boutique liquor store, Harry Brown, to achieve a whopping 100kW capacity. The panels' high-efficiency ratings, long-lasting performance in high-temperature conditions, and reliable cell technology made Trina Solar the perfect choice for this rooftop.
Paired with a 110kW ‪@Sungrow‬ Three-Phase Inverter, this system will produce 143.6MWh of solar energy per annum. The coolest part? The system will produce enough power to offset a large portion of their electricity bill without being seen - the inverter has been camouflaged into the Comiskey Distillery's mural wall (it truly is a state-of-the-art inverter!).
The system is set to save 117t of CO2 emissions per annum, improving the Eatons Hill Hotel sustainability model tenfold and significantly lowering its carbon footprint.
