The frog looks like Pikachu!
Haha đ we love pikachu đ
Shane is adorable. Good for him to take on something outside his comfort level. Getting out in nature is what itâs all about. Blessings
Absolutely đ
Thank you
I bet Shane was so pleased you chose to help him out and now he has basically got a clean slate to start his projects. Great work both of you and nice to see a frog too.
Very pleased!!
The frog has to be named Gary after the missing member of your team đ
I suggest the no-till method instead of digging the weeds out of the new beds, gather loads of cardboard and convince Shane he needs to invest in a bulk load of compost
đ I like this idea the only issue is access gate into the allotments is steep, and the walk from the gate is very narrow it not impossible but would need to have a look into it
Was fascinated with Shaneâs alotmdnt. So glad you helped him. Real tools make a difference. Hope you continue to be there and help him. Logo is awesomeâ€â€â€â€â€
I hope so đ€ đ
Thank you đ
Not sure if you share this area with others but it clearly needs to be maintained.
First building project should be a double compost bin setup. On to pile in food scraps, dry grasses, etc and the other to turn the compost into. Some have 3 bays, the third is for 'finishing' the compost.
Two big rocks placed close to the edge of the pond and frogs and the other water creatures, bugs can get a drink without drowning.
Ah good idea thanks!
The perfect name for the frog is. Kermit. Love your videos. Guys. Keep em coming.
Thank you đ
A huge improvement, now Shane can get started planning his garden.
You two are very hard workers and you make me laugh! You accomplished quite a lot! It is starting to look like a garden again. Poor snake. Take care and will see you next time!
Thanks so much
You seem so happy to have someone to play with again. đ His allotment is cleaning up nicely.đâ€ïž
Yes, thank you
You do nice work. So nice that youâve found the fountain of youth
Wonderful progress made. Looking forward to continuing reveals in and around the allotment. âš
Glad you could help Shane with that allotment Alex! Moving along nicely! Toads will naturally get rid of the snails.
Thank you đ
Great job from both of you it's good to see mates helping each other â€đđđ
Thank you đ
Well this is delightful and now I want updates of the plot!
Thank you đ hit that notification bell đ đ
great job with the clean up! so glad Alex came and helped. the pond needs cleaning, stagnant water is a recipe for mosquitos and their eggs are in there too. Put in a closed circuit water feature to circulate the water and you will have more frogs and toads come hang out in that pond. it's cool to see the frog there, It's a big frog I would call it Brutus or brute for short. Keep up the good work, can't wait to see what you grow in your garden. Fresh soil is needed as the slugs have robbed the soil of its nutrients. Good luck with keeping it low cost. Show us what you got going on. super excited for you.
Hi great project..the pond needs cleaning out . Its algie
Ah thanks for the tips and thanks for watching!
Allotment updates are mandatory now! Should the cover stay over the pond to protect them from hungry birds etc? Canât wait to see more! đ
The covers back on now! Thanks for watching!!
I hope that you & Shane will continue these videos. I've enjoyed seeing the progress and would love to see more.
We will try!!
Great to see more progress on Shane's plot.
Thank you x
I think Fergus is a good name for the frog đ That allotment has a nice vibe.
Good name!!
Yay! đđđ

Figs do very well in this country! - had some beautifully ripe and sweet ones from my friends tree for several years ⊠am umming and aahing about planting one myself. House along the road has a huge one in their front garden, prolific fruiter
Oh and a name for one of the frogs (or toads) you may have is obvious ..... has to be Gazza!
Thanks for sharing đ„°
Well done lads. You are ready to go. Rhubarb makes a great crumble or torte too! Enjoy your gardening and frogs! đ
Oh yes!
Nice size allotment there. Didn't think it was that big under all the overgrowth.
Yeah its a nice one!
Looking good guys. Looking forward to more videos.
Thank youu
Before you go planting, I'd suggest making and placing slug traps around the yard! Have some dishes of yeast and water or beer and place them in some low dishes or saucers. Caffeine also kills them so if you have coffee grounds, spread them around! It'll also be beneficial to plants or if there's a coffee shop around see if you can get a bag or bucket of coffee grounds that otherwise would be thrown away. I go with the coffee grounds method but also mix in diatomaceous earth as it too is a pest repellent.
For the fig, apple tree, and grape vines you can use copper strips around the trunks/base of the vines as slugs really don't like them. If you have some budget you could get copper screens and they'd need to be at least 6 inches tall above ground (hold on that 's in Freedom Units, I think that would be 15.5cm across the pond for you) and buried a few inches in the soil. Slugs get a shock that they don't like as their slime trail and the high conductivity of the copper gives them the shock of their life!
Ah those are some great tips thank you đ
Crumble every timeđ
Oh yes đ
đđđđ
That was just great guys. Great start. Please take care
Thank you đ
He is not green but kermits the frog is a good name. Thanks for the video đ
:) great choice
Good job! I like Shane's future allotment layout.
Thank you đ
Great job you guys đ ! đđŒđżđž
Thank you! đ
đđđ Excellent jobâ€â€
Thank you! Cheers!
Slugs- dig a hole and plant cups level with the ground and put beer about 1/2 way. Slugs love smell of the yeast and will die in the beer.
Ah man you got me wanting an allotment again!!!! I suggest a name for the frog is Jeremy đđ» thatâs one nice sized plot that can be developed nicely greet work guys đȘđ»đȘđ»đȘđ»
Ah thank :) hopefully we will get this allotment is top shape soon đ

đđŒ
the frog needs to be named Sunny, since it is such a vibrant yellow. They will certainly eat the slugs.
Oh yes :) đ good name x
Good one and a wonderful find! Frogs mean healthy yards!
Thank youu for watching
Excellent job! Two heads are better than one! LOL.
You got that right!

I would love for shane to work with me maybe in the future if the channel hits 1 million followers and we make some money đ€Łđ€Ł but for now we will just crack on and keep doing what we are doing ,
Fig jam, and rhubarb cobbler are wonderful.
Yes they are!
Nicely done.
Keep crackin' on.
đđđŒ
Thanks, will do!

Hello, this vid is reminiscent of your days with Gary, I love the allotment idea that people can use to grow things because people who live in a city don't have the room at home, a wonderful government initiative. All weeds and greenery without seeds can be used as compost, thanks for the vid Alex cheers!!đ„°đđđđ
Thank you for watching đ
Lottie, for Allotment.
I like it đ
Ferdinand â€
You both worked well together great result call the frog sunshine
Thank you đ€©
You need to skim the pond a little bit, put in potted Lilly's for shade.đ
Good thinking
I know its a bit like chalk and cheese because they are designed for two different jobs Technically, but that do you prefer? ego or stihl, I went back to using the ego hedge trimmer multitool, after using the kombi with hedge trimmer, and have to say the ego is much lighter, the activation switch is so much better, but wow the power is so underwhelming after using stihl, I was originally a stihl 131 kombi petrol but went to ego, because I wanted to go battery, after having problems with the batteries, I invested in the stihl battery kombi 135r. its heavy that bloomin switch when hedge trimming is a ballache, but really is a powerful bit of kit, just need that switch sorting.
I think I prefer the ego but they are very similar tbh
Hi, great job when you have tools with more power...lol Cant wait to see what happens next. Maybe give the frog somewhere to hide from the birds !!!! Stay Safe watching from Tasmania â€ïžđđđ€
Ah good thinking, thanks for watching
We donât have allotments where I live in Texas but this is looking wonderful. Youâve put a lot of work into it that will give back to you ten-fold congratulations & canât wait to see the next episode! I thought the frog was actually the head of a gigantic turtle đ€Ł. I remembering a song about Jeremiah who was a bullfrog!
Thanks so much!
His name has to be Jeremy! Hope we get updates on the allotmentâŠâŠâŠ another branch of the gardening tree.
You got rid of those beautiful dandelion greens! They would have made a nice salad or tea.đ
Next time!
I like the name Old Yeller.
Like it đđ»
I love your the new logo.
Thank you đ
Apple crumble!
If you are doing more beds, maybe rent a tiller to turn the soil faster. What does Alex say: work smarter not harder. đ
đ
Like the new logo, your friend and you have a lot of work still to do,but coming along.good video as always, just keep drawing your thing.be safe.đđđđđđ
Thanks đ

Howâs your old mate Gary doing. I miss his smiling mug.
Heâs doing great đ
Cover up the frog place so the birds won't get them. Good work boys.
Haha wearing white socks and runners, green socks and runners
Gary đž
đ
The little dude has to be called Fredo đ
đ
Frogs name is "Petrified".
Does your local council sell compost? Most do from their recycling. Cheaper than going to the garden centre! Our local household recycling site also sells stuff, and they stock a lot of garden tools. I do not understand why people just not sell the contents with the garden shed when they sell the house. Just so the new owners needs to be new tools!
Ohh I am not sure will have to look into that
Your a good friend Alex, Shaneâs garden allotment is coming along nicely đđđ
Thank youu
Freddy the frog lol
đ
The pond is probably to have frogs which will eat the slugs and snails,

đ
So I see stakes sticking out of the grown, what is that for. So all of what youâre doing on here is not your entire plot?
I think they are markers from previous owener
Looks like a turtle or frog
Frog !
Shane - lovely to see things coming along, cheers. By the way, all they dandelions can thrown into a barrel of water and they turn into a lovely liquid fertiliser.
Alex: how long before you told Shane how to turn on the Stihl??
Ah nice little tip , thanks đ haha it took him a couple minutes to figure it out it is child safe đ€Ł

@acreslawncare or if you want it open get large stones/pebbles put them into the water up to side of pond. I did it with mine, it worked well, and needs no maintenance! đđ
Everything was perfect until.....stupid snake!!!! I'd wait for another allotment to come available. Tons of potential with this plot but that snake has to go!!!
