Get yours from Amazon: amzn.to/2BwBcrK I check out he new Subterra Carry-On 40L bag from Thule, and find out how versatile it is. And meet its little baby. Aww.
Wow! I haven't been able to make my mind about any bag so far. I've been trying to decide between the Osprey Porter 30, and Ebags TLS Weekender Junior. But this Thule bag is gorgeous, I love the sleek look, the carry options, the size, the organization, and the price is pretty good too. Thanks for the fantastic review!
Awesome review... I have this bag too and love it for weekends away or quick work trips. The only thing you forgot to mention was the luggage pass-through for attaching to a larger wheeled bag (amazingly handy) and the ‘secret pocket’ behind the pass-through for passport etc.
Would love to see you review the Eagle Creek Global Companion 40 l backpack - it has a proper suspension system to make the bag easier to carry, and the pockets all look like they'll be easily accessible even if the bag's quite full... When my carry on suitcase dies I'll definitely be getting that backpack!
looks more business definitely. i have the farpoint 40 and one of the main reasons why i like that bag for travelling is because of the hip straps. really takes the load off the shoulders. i think this one is more suited for short trips that don't require a lot of carrying and moving around.
Nice review! Maybe one little thing for the next time. Take a little shot when you have the backpack on your back. So can people see how big it is when you are wearing it. Thanks a lot!
Hi Test Pit, Nice review. Any chance you have the dimensions of the main compartment as I would like to know how much clothes can fit in and if it’s compressible without straps on the sides (internal or external)
And on the body shot would have been awesome, as well as a side to side comparison next to the farpoint 40 for those of us that are familiar with the farpoint. That way we could get better size comparisons and views. You'll have to share how you really like this bag after using it. Thanks for the excellent information!
I highly respect Thule for their other high quality products but they seem to have prioritised design over usability here. Seriously, who wants to carry a fully loaded 40L backpack without any hipbelt or any mesh against your back? As a carry-on traveller I sometimes have to carry my backpack for longer periods and don't see why someone would want to cut corners here. The shoe compartment is useless since it cuts into your main compartment, if you remove the shoes getting them back in will nearly be impossible on a otherwise full back because your load will shift and take it's space. Furthermore imagine beeing on an airplane in the need of quickly getting something out of the bags main compartment, not a big drama on the Osprey but one the Thule you'd first have to open the main zipper (all the way!), flip the bag open before beeing able to open the second zipper underneath - doesn't sound very practical to me. They basically employed a split open design here without leveraging it's advantages, e.g. having two main compartments next to each other. Take a look at the Eagle Creek Global Companion or Cotopaxi Allpa Travel Pack to see what I mean.
Thanks for your comment. I saw Eagle Creek Global Companion 40 L. In my opinion, a very well designed product... Sorry, english is not my first tongue...
It wasn’t designed for that type of travel. Not everyone wants the added bulk/weight of cumbersome shoulder and hip straps. It’s a more refined business design as well with the integrated brief case and smooth finished outer shell. The Osprey Farpoint 40 is a different animal with more practical but less refined options.
Nice review! Having the laptop bag nicely integrated into the larger bag is definitely a plus, but there is no way I'd use the laptop bag as a day bag. It LOOKS like a laptop bag. Lol Also, I do wish Thule would stop stamping their name in big bold letters on their bags. It really wrecks the appearance of the bag and, for me anyway, is a main reason I wouldn't buy it.
"I. love. bags.... to a worrying extent." Ha! I'm with you mate, and I love your reviews, really useful.

Thule make roof bars, bike racks and now wicked bags that is the best bag I have seen for carry on

Thank you for the excellent review, Sir! Solid facts topped with British humor, love it!! :) Keep up
Lol You, me, and several of us LOVE BAGS too man. Great review as well. Thank You!
Your video made me buy this backpack. Thanks!

I bought it a year ago, navy blue, and I loved it. Yours (wine red) seems a bit thinner than mine. That's odd! lol
Just saw the bag in a store, and I think you missed a hidden pocket behind the pass through flap for placing on your roller suitcase

The laptop, top, and bottom pockets are all not lockable? Thanks, great review.
This was a great review! Thank you
Great video, I was considering getting one. A bit too pricey for now but a definite contender.

I love the excitement
is it rainproof? I know it has a laptop sleeve but it doesn't seem to be rainproof judging from the look of the zipper. Can you enlighten me on that?
This is the greatest review ever 😂😂
Рюкзак класс👍, Обзор отличный , только почему не показал маленький карман на молнии за спиной?
Beautiful bag
can it be used as a personal item meaning can it fit under the plane sit?
Is the shoulder straps clips on breaks easily ?
perfect review.

As carry on.. Cotopaxi alpa and minaal 2.0 were my both absolute favourite.

very Exciting 😍
Do you think that logo can be removed?
I’m sold!!!!
They should make the inside traffic cone orange.

fill it up with actual clothes! But I love it and your review!
funny to hear you, THUUULEEE
So nice
is it water resistant?
40L for a weekend? Thats more than enough for a month!
Ohhh You lost the secret Pocket!!
you missed a pocket...
If the logo were less conspicuous.... I try not to be a walking billboard. Nice bag otherwise.
ure hilarious!
If they wanted me to pronounce it like that they shouldnt have spelled it wrong.
I think Landmark 40 L much better and more functional
It’s a shame these bags are fucking hideous and look dorky as fuck. I’ll just go with the ozone / aer sling
