If you can't act impressed no matter how horrific you're in danger... Even still...
I’d call it poetic justice that Sarah was betrayed by two of her closest friends, who were then betrayed by someone they thought they could trust. Huge props to Anthony for doing the right thing and standing up for Sarah. RIP Sarah 🙏

After he called her house a s**** hole
The moment when Liam came back to Anthony's passenger side window and knocked, had to be the most terrifying moment of Anthony's life. He was unbelievably professional at that undercover job.
I thought Liam was gonna shoot Anthony. That Liam guy looked like he wanted to kill the crackhead lady that wanted a ride
Kudos to Anthony for keeping his cool and getting Liam's confession on tape. That took guts. He got justice for Sarah.
I always thought that Liam saying that he went back to "see if he left his keys in the car" was just an excuse, he might've realized on his way to the house that something could be up and he went back to the car to check on Anthony one last time just to make sure. Imagine if he caught him Anthony the camera on his hand!!
I dont think it was that scary, he was a planner not a loosecannon. Also he couldnt even lift sarahs body.
@@homohotel The situation was completely different. He had the luxury to be calculated with Sarah. Anthony was a liability, and could report to the cops at any time. It's very possible for Liam to act irrationally under those circumstances.

@Jordan Banks liam betrayed sarah way worse. its bare minimum payback
@Jordan Banks He didn't. I friend like Liam doesn't deserve even a little LOYALTY. How can you consider Liam a Friend and being betrayed? If he could kill Sarah cold-bloodedly, can he not do it to Anthony? If you are more concerned about LIAM being betrayed than thinking of Anthony's welfare and safety, you are of the same kind with LIAM and PRESTON who never deserved LOYALTY and can never be considered a FRIEND.
So, this poor girl loses her mother to cancer, her dad is nuts, her grandma is sick, what little money she came across is for her future, and these horrible young men take her life.
I hope they got hefty sentences.
watching these interrogations has made me realize that i’m unknowingly self-soothing 90% of the time.
Sameeee
The audacity that he not only killed her but then proceeded to completely trash talk her afterwards is insane
Exactly! And the audacity to throw her dad under the bus as a suspect.
I have heard several times that trash talking a victim is one of the signs interrogators look for in rape crimes investigations because the perpetrator goes over the top insulting victims where innocent people don't say much.
I mean, he's 100% right with that statement. Most people have useless ''tough'' dogs like Pit Bulls, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Dobermans... You name it. You get what you buy. If you want REAL protection, buy a REAL dog... You would have to stab or shoot my persian mastiff and my CAO until they stopped moving because they would not stop mauling you until you killed them. If you are getting murdered and your dog is fucking watching you get killed you have wrong dog breed my guy... The killer is 100% right with that one...
Yeah absolutely. But think about it; if someone is evil enough to murder their childhood friend in cold blood, then trashing her to detectives afterwards to save himself is really nothing to the person. This is the kind of person you really have to be careful with, and it's sadly why I tend to not trust in people 100%. You just never know who's a psychopath that will befriend you, make you feel comfortable with them, and when you least expect it, do something terrible to you. It sucks because I'm the kind of person that thinks that people do bad things, but they're good deep down. Not people like this guy. This is evil incarnate right there, and they can hide it so well.
You expect different from the guy that killed his 'friend' for money?
Man, the friend who recorded the confession had some balls on him. He was as smooth as a skilled interrogator and Liam just spilled the beans and told him everything.

When describing Sarah at the beginning and her art being shown, I recognized her art at 1:47 as being from a screencap from season 2 of Carmilla -- a webseries I absolutely love. Knowing this...my heart sank. I used to be very active in this community and may have come across this art years and years ago, back when the show was on. Knowing she was a Creampuff as well... (the name for the fandom) it truly breaks my heart. Rest in Peace, Sarah. I won't forget you.
UPDATE: Oh, God. She's even dressed as Carmilla for vidcon 2016. I owned the same box she's holding and even had the same cosplay for my own halloween, in 2017. I also saw Grace, Mamrie, and Hannah live years ago. This hits so close to home for me. It makes me wonder if I've even met people that knew her, as this is a small community. I may have to finish this one later -- makes me pretty sick to reflect on right now.
Thank you all for the work you do and for bringing Sarah's story to light.

The undercover friend in the car was a brave man. That last second where the murderer walked back to the car because he thought he lost his keys was eerie. The friend must have thought he might be returning to kill him.

Would have gotten away with it 'cause the detective didn't ask the right questions too 🤦♀️
He wouldn’t have gotten away because he seemed normal or honest. He would have gotten away because the cops knew him and never saw him as a killer and the detectives were ridiculously incompetent/careless.
Liam really thought he could fool everybody into thinking he’s a good guy. One clue the police noticed was Liam nodding his head in agreement to everything they said. That was a sign of guilt.
No offense, but that's why you, and the cops and detectives in this case shouldn't be in law enforcement lol. From the moment they met Liam at his house for the first time, he was incredibly suspicious. You are right. Also, I know how ALL of my neighbors park. It is side effect of living in a complex and just seeing them come and go every single day multiple times a day. It is strange the details we know about people but do not realize until we need to call upon the information.
That was funny tbh (patting down his friend, totally ignoring the (I assume) dashcam!)

How can you kill someone you have known since first grade for a few dollars? This is the most terrifying murder case I have ever heard. I am very sorry about what Sarah went through.

Capitalism
Psychopaths have no problem doing that, no problem at all.
@@user-lu5ru3fl8t Killing someone because you want the money they have, has nothing to do with capitalism and everything to do with the person viewing their victim as prey. Some people are predators.

SUPERB work!! The details and configuration of ALL of the information is amazingly done!! I did not check to see how much longer to get to the end and was somewhat disappointed when it ended! LOVED that wonderful lawyer ❤
Thank you so much for the amount of research and analysis you put into these videos, as well as how often you put them out, with consistent quality every single time. Spectacular, honestly the only channel I would consider supporting. Keep it up!
He's so proud of his plan, he just goes on and on about how he killed her for no reason. Dude just asked what happened. He wanted to show off so bad. That's crazy
What’s the time stamp for his confession?
The way he talked about it like a "heist" really creeped me out, as if this is some sort of exciting video game mission. Completely out of touch with reality. Killing his friend for money, so void of emotion. I'm glad they got caught. May Sarah rest in peace.
That and he'd been bottling it up for long enough that he just wanted to get everything out to someone he trusted.

This investigation should most certainly be a case study on how you tank a investigation by inadequate questioning and let the guilty almost go free.
I agree it's painful to watch I just want to jump in there and take over lack of experience.
Exactly! If the friend hadn't come forward about Liam's recorded confession, those two criminals would have gotten away with it. I can only imagine the amount of cases that were left cold due to how these investigations were being handled.

Once the police are talking to you about a crime - especially if they’re talking to you as one of the suspects - they’re not your friends. No matter how much they might try and seem like you are, no matter how much you’ve been told to co-operate with them. They aren’t interested in helping you to prove that you’re innocent, they’re not interested in helping you clear up an innocent misunderstanding - that’s not their job, their job is to solve the case and hand it over to the prosecutors and if it’s really easy to just say “hey, we think Bob did it” and not look at other options? They’re going to charge Bob and declare the case closed.
Your lawyer’s job is to make sure that you don’t mis-speak or try to answer questions where you don’t remember the answer or aren’t sure what you’re being asked about. They’re there to make sure you’re not trying to clear up “simple misunderstandings”, and they’re there to make sure that the police and the prosecutor are doing their jobs and actually prove that you’re the best suspect for the crime.

When they make a documentary about me, they'll list my interests as:
-Sausage rolls
-Smoke detectors
-Miley Cyrus
These victims are more than what happened to them. I'll always respect this channel for keeping that in mind
Besides the respect it gives, it just makes for a better story. Twin Peaks is as good as it is because Laura Palmer is the main character despite being dead the entire show.
quite honestly: I could really do without.
I find it much harder to listen to what they did to somebody who's not only an abstract 'victim' but an actual person in my head. The casual way they describe how she was slowly killed over half an hour and then basically treated like a bag of trash made me literally feel sick to my stomach. And normally I'm someone who can watch the goriest horror movies or something isis decapitation videos without batting an eye. what state is this taking place in? I'm just curious what way she would make her way to Canada and what province she would of come in through. I live near Toronto and there been a few fugitives from USA who came here(Canada) but that was to get away from cops not to begin a new life but it's really hard to come here to stay when she could easily just go to another state,no boarder to cross,or visas to apply for. I mean I love it here in Canada but just didn't buy someone who wanted out of there town to go to a whole new Country instead of just going to a different state.

I kinda understand why the detective was so unprofessional. They didn't have any evidence that a homicide was committed and cases like that usually end in finding out that the missing person had committed suicide, had an accident or had run away on his/her own will.
But still the officer should have kept an open mind and, as harsh as it sounds, treated everyone as a potential murderer until they're cleared out.
Well they were treating as a missing persons not a homicide
