If you ever want a unique exp in the USA. I insist on visiting the land I want you to buy. From New York City Or LA, fly into Grand Junction Colorado. Head south to Cortez, Colorado. From Grand Junction to Cortez will take a day driving. I grew up with that ride you will enjoy it. Eat dinner in Cortez. Wake up. See Mesa Verde. That will take a full day. Moab Utah. You have a choice of three National Parks there. To the west is Durango and Chimney Rock Each will take a day. Flight to LA or New York. It can save you some money. I bet the days in my area are cheaper than the other places you can go. Also Unique. Alamosa From say Pueblo, Colorado has some of the highest sand dunes in the world. You can go over Wolf Creek Pass to Pagosa Springs. Wolf Creek is so pretty random tourists suddenly commit suicide there. Worth seeing.

Yo mate, there's a lot of options for coming to the U.S. - many of the budget conscious, tho, go to the less popular states and smaller towns. A few cities even recruit, the priority is U.S. citizens, of course, but the majority of youth these days don't want to live in rural or semi-rural America. So, that's opened the door to other 'skilled' workers. Some are low skill, largely in food processing, fisheries or agriculture, and others to trade skills to obviously, more technical. Medical is a good option, nursing in particular and associated allied health fields. Much easier of course, if you have a four year degree, but some half it... - the remote / digital nomad crowd and migrant worker often just goes on holiday and use that time to scout for work options that way. the influencer crowd will sell their integrity to one of the indie media outlets and risk being as hated as buzzfeed personalities. A little more solid is heading out on a student visa (it's not just for youth), this where you can do your lower level training where you are but it can be more competitive when you're a non-traditional student but coming from the uk is obviously easier than say russia.. hitch up with a basic uni or college program to get a degree and still work while you're doing it. Again, allied health fields is the primary legal way on the lower amount of requirements that people go. albeit, you do have licensing issues from state to state. If you're willing to be a kept lad, you'd have decent luck finding an old gentleman caller... lasses are a bit more scattered, there's neurotic options there but they tend to be splenda mamas rather than sugar mamas... and not as likely to let you have your own room and side pieces. Really lad, there's multiple ways, not all on the up and up but it's not much different than going on holiday and bouncing around so you don't have to go back home. Many do the renewal bit. Some take up more independent jobs - that's where you might have the private care workers, nannies, tutors. Again, work nine months then piss off for three months somewhere else to be able to come back because while it's not entirely legal by the system, the system is slow to catch up... and it doesn't take too much to plead your case, if it does become a problem. . . given you're coming from an allied nation and don't have any major red flags in your histories. So, yeah, if you consider it.. the easier path to search for details is looking at seasonal employment, i.e. legalized migrant work or education visas. . . work visas is unnecessarily complicated in the u.s. thus it can be difficult to locate those jobs unless they're recruiting in the country of origin directly. So, rather than approaching it from the front or going climbing over the back door, most are going to approach it from the legal gray area side doors. It'd be nice to have everything budgeted, attorneys on hand and ready to walk out the door (in two years time of waiting) but it's not how it goes for most people. You jump at the windows that open because the doors rarely do. Again, there's many states, cities, especially in more rural communities that offer incentives for moving and some do apply to those outside of the u.s. states and territories, so look at the skilled workers list on both a federal and state level.. they do differ somewhat. and yes, some are considered low skill... or merely the need for workers or even just population boosts.

@@calicokush My neighbor would gladly lead people to come kill me if her religion asked her too. AND MIGHT! Which is a shame she makes great cookies. I live in Colorado, so seasonal work is all we have any way. Well that and Walmart. Small town LOL. Many young people are moving here. Some are, (and I am not joking) moving to this particular area near Utah, to survive a civil war. So that's fun. And I hate cities. All those houses and people. I feel like I am always being watched. Fun for a quick trip but just useless to me. Must be some thing to be said for cities I guess, a lot of people seem to live there. But I can pop over to LA for a long weekend, if I lie to my manager. And Las Vegas is like 6 hours drive. I forgot to add I'm a better shot with a rifle then my neighbors by far. But I don't know how they afford so much ammo all day. OMG you should be around here on fourth of July. LOL.

Basically Like Walmart, but each item is packaged in groups of 3 or more a lot of times.
(so store itself is obviously bigger, and some stores have Walmart and Sam's Club joined into same building. Sam's is always bigger.)

There's a section for clothing, jewelry, computers, TV's, medicine and personal care, a garden dept, seasonal things, tire replacement and tune-ups, hunting, fishing, toys, furniture, cookware, home repair and tools, etc.
Deodorant is on the opposite side of the store, near the vitamins, shampoo, and such.

The thing about Walmart is you have to know when to go. She's just in the grocery section but it's a one-stop shop...clothing, pharmacy, electronics, toys/crafts, home decor, kitchenware, gardening center, tools and an auto center. So you can literally get new tires and an oil change on your car while you're shopping. Some have gas stations so you do that as well and it can sometimes be the least expensive gas in town.

The sizes of the food items are larger is because there are big families and families that live far from shopping areas. They buy large quanties to last for a longer period of time and they make less trips.

And those sweet bread loafs at the beginning go bad after 3 days so you gotta eat them quick. Pro tip: If you see tires on sale online and go into Wal-Mart for those tires and they are out, they will give you the next tire up in price for the same price as the price online. Adam Couser, That CZcamsr vlog was pretty good but they did not show much of Walmart, just the food sections which is big enough. Some Walmarts are a little smaller and then there are SUPER Walmarts that are indeed HUGE! You should react to the British couple that went to Buc-ees gas station and stayed there for 24 hours! LOL Buc-ees is a very unique and HUGE gas station that is mostly in Texas locations but not nationwide.. some other states like Tennessee, Georgia and soon Ohio will open a Buc-ees.

I am an American and there is a HUGE shopping center at the end of the street that I live on. The Walmart there is massive. Just at the front of the store there is a Subway, a nail salon, a bank, and an optometrist's office. Also, I can't think of a more American thing than putting brownies in a Snickers bar 😂.

The thing you don't see is the sales tax on all of these items. Sales tax here varies from state to state, and even county by county, so for a manufacturer, or a retailer to put a definitive sales price on anything is largely impractical.
Another question I've heard from foreigners is, "Do they really sell 'boomsticks' at Walmart?" The answer, again varies from state to state, and county to county. My local Walmart in Kentucky doesn't, but the neighboring county in Kentucky does. But they never sell hand boomsticks or assault boomsticks. They are all shot boomsticks and deer boomsticks. They sell hunting licenses there too, so it only makes sense that they sell the equipment.

Spray cheese is so cool and so delicious. Even better tasting than regular blocks of cheese. The word spray is a little bit misleading and I guess that use it because you do push a button on top for it to come out of the can but it comes out like toothpaste comes out. Instead of squeezing a tube of toothpaste, you're pressing the button on top and you're cracker in your left hand like a trisket and then you just are putting the spray cheese on top of it, so you can put as much or as little just like when you brush your teeth. It's so convenient. It's so delicious and I'll tell you when you're sitting around on the outside. Patio drinking wine and then nibbling on chips with Bray cheese awesome.

Half the stuff we have in American grocery stores is illegal in the UK. Artificial sweeteners, colors, preservatives, flavors and additives make up a huge majority of groceries here in the US. I have a feeling that's why it seems there is so much more.

There's a couple reasons why the UK doesn't have the amount of choice we have or the volume size we have. And that your houses are a third the size of the AVERAGE sized house in America. In the UK, the average sized house is a bit over 800 sq ft. In America, it's around 2400 give or take a hundred or two. Our's is 2300. It's worth between $100 and 200K now, given some of the prices I've heard recently in the same neighborhood. It was less than $20K when my parents bought in 1968. We have an acre of land and it's not even the biggest lot along our street. The lot next to us is 1.78 acres. The one in the other side of us is 1.1 acres. It's about 10 ft wider than ours. Our's is 85 ft wide, their's appears to be about 95 ft wide. A lot just a couple doors down appears to be 3.1 acres.
Your houses are small because you're trying to cram 70 million people on an island 2.8x smaller than Texas. You guys need to start a war and conquer Canada or something for more land. 😅 I'm only half joking. But you get my point.

I live 5 minutes from a Walmart Supercenter. Inside WM is McDonald's, a hair salon, a mani pedi area, Pharmacy. Some WM here has Subways, Starbucks, a FedEx, or Ups station. A small bank, etc.
Inside walmart are the latest style clothing & shoe dept that is very cheap. The garden area i like to look at pretty flowers, but im a very bad gardener😅 If you're looking for a a regular milk, you're gonna find yourself looking at 30+ kind of milk. The other day i was craving for M & Ms chocolate. Of course they have so many kind of m& m's I ended up discovering a new favorite of mine, m& m's cookies & cream, soooo good damn!!😂 i bought 30 packs and put the rest in my pantry and some in my bedside drawer, yummy. Ended up eating 8 packs last nite while in bed watching Peanut Butter Falcon movie😢. Then Netflix Baby Reindeer😮
Back to Wally World (nickname for WM)
International Aisle I liked so i can cook Adobo, pansit, lumpia- famous Asian delicacies.😊
My cousin works at Walmart bakery dept. Darn these cakes & cookies. Red Velvet cake omg!! There's also a buffet area if you're running late and don't wanna cook when you come home, just get some warm freshly cooked take outs. I always get a bucket of chicken, sweet corn & mash potato.
    Dinner is done!
Then go to the hair salon to get a new haircut for just $12.00😊
My WM here has their own gas station at the edge of the WM parking lot. WM has different categories like WM Supercenters or Supermart or Mega WM. Or just plain WM. The plain WM don't have any sub stores in it. Those Super or Mega WM you'll find different substores in it. My WM also has a Car repair center at the very back. So you can drop your car to be fixed or get new tires & go shopping, then pick up your car or they will page you on the intercom.
Surprisingly we just get so lazy and take stuff for granted here in US when you refuse to go to WM cuz it's so huge and tiring. We just stop by a regular grocery store and get in & out. The grocery store near me has Starbucks in it. You don't want to see a crowd then we avoid WM😅 ( we're just a bunch of ungrateful citizens😊) The thing about WM is they cater handicap very seriously. People will report you for parking illegally at the handicap space without the blue handicap tag visible or hanging by the rear view mirror. They have electric scooters for handicaps & elderly.
Walmart is where you find odd looking weird people. You tube shows it. Some fight going on, indecent clothing, rednecks stuff😂
If you're an introvert WM is not for you. I'd rather go to a grocery store where I could enjoy a peaceful, quiet shopping.
From my car parked i can see Lowe's from the distance. Lowe's is where you go for home improvement. All kinds of wood, metal, down to the smallest nuts & bolts. It's a guy's paradise. If you're remodeling or just bought a house, this is your place.
I had bought wood flooring from Lowe's for my kitchen floor, plus labor. You just get the measurements & they give you a total package from installation to hauling your old fridge out of your house. Them hardwood floors are SOOOO EXPENSIVE!!!
I bought some more White Rocking Chairs for my front porch.
I think I'd rather hang at Lowe's than Wally World.😊 My brain goes on overdrive at Lowe's thinking of another house project. That's just me😊

Walmart stores can range from 99,000 to 250,000 square feet in size, with an average of 187,000. For comparison, a 105-meter by 68-meter football pitch is 76,854 square feet. It's slightly a bigger Walmart than usual to be fair, but still, it has a lot of stuff. Whenever a Walmart moves somewhere, it kills local competition entirely. The competition for brands to get into Walmart is also crazy which is why the prices are so low. If I had to bet money I'm going to say a college town Walmart. They also usually have auto shops too.

We have that same class of WalMart here, but I don't go there often. It's usually for something automotive or sports equipment. For food, I use the local HEB, and the HEB Plus in the next county, part of the Texas HEB grocery chain not too long ago named the best grocery chain in the U.S., and I rarely go inside them and use curbside pickup. WalMart is useful, but I actually buy almost all non-grocery and some grocery from Amazon, since they have distribution centers within 20 miles and can almost always deliver in one or two days, or even same day. And I do order some things to be delivered by WalMart's two-day service when Amazon has a problem with something.

The larger containers and portions at food places are due to our history of Capitalism. (this is changing at this time) The competition is tremendous and the actual cost of food is much lower than packaging wages etc. So if you want to sell it, pile a lot on. Make the package pretty, offer it at a discount and whenever possible add a free gift like 20% off tickets to 6 Flags. It won't matter one bit that we've just paid $15.00 for a cup of sugar.
