I have really been wondering about who this song is about...I mean I think you have a valid point. It just seems so weird because she sings something like "I know it's been eight years" and they are still in touch because of their son...Idk tbh. Also, she sings "I'll never forget that I couldn't be yours" and she was his, but then again she could be referring to something in the past as you said. I would really like to know who the song is about.
