Kevin Henson just a little info these people spend the extra $180-$220 in gas a year over a Ford escape and yes I’ve done the math in a business finance project at $2.30 a gallon which is average here for 87 with 15k miles a year
I think it’s ironic people talk about gas prices all the time but then go spend $40 going out to eat 4 to 8 times a month
Life’s too short to drive a boring vehicle just to save a tiny bit of money. Not to mention this is a safer vehicle as well
Give it a European 2.5 turbo diesel and it will be a sipper.

cooldaddyslick - I don’t know if you’re from Michigan, but there are people being ticketed hefty fines for not having a valid alibi. The other day I seen at least 10 cops come down my road in the matter of an hour, and I’ve only seen 6 in the total of the 3 years I’ve been living in my apartment in Ann Arbor. Trust me, if I need to take precautions I will in order to not be pulled over. Plus I like driving while the sun is rising.

Forget that it's on an "outdated platform" and the horrible fuel mileage (If you can afford this suv you can afford the fuel for it). The fun factor and overall personality outweighs it.
You shouldn't judge a car by it's statistics, but rather how it drives, and this Durango SRT is a great example of that. Great job on this review Topher :)

I have a 2018 Rango SRT. I checked out a few different options, but nothing compared to this truck. 2020 still looks and drives amazing. Great review!

I rented a 2020 Durango GT for several weeks recently. I have to say the comfort, quietness and ride quality was outstanding.

This is the definition of sport utility vehicle. Sport from the engine and chassis. Utility with the 6 seats and it's a massive nice vehicle.

i used to not like Chrysler, but they have been stepping up their game lately, especially in the sporty performance market, with the Dodge Charger, Challenger and Durango SRT, and Jeep with the Grand Cherokee SRT and Trackhawk, and the Wrangler is popular, and RAM Trucks are good, and Chrysler is doing a good job with the pacifica and the 300 is still a icon in America and the last of it's kind.

Awesome video man. One of my favorite SUV's on the market. Drove the R/T back in 2017 lovely vehicle. Love the noises the exhaust makes. All I would say is reliability is always an issue with FCA even though I love their vehicle's. Overall great content love the limits you take with the cars. Keep it up.

@@NFSMAN50 Better is subjective, if you're talking performance then the Urus beats the Trackhawk. The Cayenne Turbo GT, which is cheaper than the Urus, will definitely smoke the Trackhawk AND the Urus, it's ridiculous. The Porsche is the fastest SUV on the Nurburgring as well

I will probably never ever need three rows in my entire life, but I still want one of these so bad. The Durango SRT is just big and bold and badass in a way that the Grand Cherokee SRT8 just isn't. I can't quite explain it. But I just love it, dated interior and build quality and all 😂😍

Have a ‘20 Scat Pack Charger for just over a year now and picked up one of these bad boys in white about 2 months ago. Between the 2 the Durango is the one my wife and I fight over driving 😂🤷🏻♂️. I see that Dodge has kept a lot of the features very similar from their other vehicles they've made over the years. I own a newer model Dodge Grand Caravan and have noticed this Dodge Durango has a lot of similar features that my van has. That Durango is nice.
I have the Durango srt in white and my husband has a charger hellcat. He still always wants to drive mine. He gets me in the end but I get him off the line every time with the awd. The launch is insane.
Now that’s a power couple!!
This is my dad's dream car in white. Nobody makes as badass cars as Dodge these days.
Waiting for mine to be built. Currently the Jefferson North Assembly Plant (JNAP) is closed down due to the Pandemic, for good reason. This video was fun to watch.
I own a 2014 Jeep SRT. Love it! I don't really think there's much of a difference between the two. I have the adaptive bilstein shocks, 295 tires, ZF 8 spd...Those are the biggest factors, and of course the 392 engine. I think I could take most sports cars at a traffic light. Beyond that, the weight/aerodynamics definitely play a factor. But as a daily driver, they're a riot. Especially with the low end grunt. Only downfall is MPG with premium fuel. But it's been amazing with these gas prices!!!

Just traded my 2013 dodge journey for the 2020 Dodge Durango SRT, and all I can say is that the Durango SRT is a BEAST!!! You pin pointed well of everything as I thought about the SUV, and I just cant stop driving it because its so much fun and addicting to drive. It handles around the corner very stiff almost coexistant to rolling, tires are phenomenal from the factory and grips without hardly spinning, but the truth of things that someone would buy this this car...MOPAR!!! Though my very first muscle vehicle all I can say it's going to be a thrilling experience living with a all powerful SUV that my family will never forget. Very nice review! 😎👍

Great video! Agreed on all points, love my '18 Durango SRT. Looking forward to the next refresh. If they can improve the animation smoothness of the instrument cluster, toss in some lower dust brake pads, and improve the quality of a few materials, I'd have a hard time finding any negatives.
Although some might say the "dated" interior suites the old-school muscle car/truck vibes quite nicely. In either case, for the price, you really can't find this combination of performance, fun, and practicality elsewhere. And as noted, on the used-car market, they're a steal.
Short of driving one yourself, this video does a great job to convey the feeling, aural experience, and ambiance you get from the SRT. Well done.

What a great vehicle. If wasn't for the fuel consumption it would be the definition of perfect. That V8... OMG!
In my experience with a 2015 SRT Jeep (mechanical twin), averaging 24mpg on the highway is very do-able if you drive it like a normal vehicle (also, mileage improved over time; this one mustn't have been broken in yet).City mileage is less-impressive, but still respectable all things considered.

You forgot to mention that these things are perfectly happy towing 7,000+ lbs all day too. Take the boat to the river, take the Viper to the track, take the Jeep to the trails, take the camper on vacation; then take your whole family to Denny's or your wife to Ruth's Chris.. These really are as close as it gets to "one-size-fits-all."

Look at selling prices. Jeeps have no incentives and are typically 10k more than the durango. I found srt Durangos in the 50's new. Jeep srt is 68k cheapest I have seen.

You forgot one thing bro u can recline the captain seats aswell more to the back I tried it on my 2020 durangoRT u just pull the handle and push the seat to the back and it’s the same for the srt if you didn’t know 😎
Actually a really practical vehicle, especially now that I just picked up gas at $1.46 a gallon. Downside is that even used these are REALLY expensive.
It only cost $50 and a nitrile glove to fill this thing up today!
I'm in Michigan, the same state as the Topher and gas is a dollar and nine cents a gallon at Costco.

Lot of people complain about the reliability , fiat and Chrysler , this and that. But no one ever buys a SRT dodge because of those reason, it’s not a car your friends and family advises you to buy. Almost anyone who owns loves it for what they are.

12:29 NO! That is what makes the Durango 392 so special, is because it doesn't have that loud supercharger! It's a naturally aspirated engine that sounds great!! Go buy the hellcat durango with 700HP if you want the super charger. I think the 392 Durango with 400HP is perfect! I don't like the sound of that supercharger. It's too annoying. Thank god there are trim levels.
