    I guess an addition to this question would be "SHOULD I place a post?" Do all cases need a post? Of course broken down teeth need them, but I know clinicians who prepare a post space for every endo treated tooth.
    I know you're an endodontist and I heard you said that in Boston, the endo rarely (never?) Cements the post himself, but your insights would still be invaluable!

      Yesss, I would also want to know what is the opinion of Dr. Nasseh on this. How much of coronal distruction there should be in order to decide to place a post?
      Also, I'd love to see a video about posts in molars, which teeth are worth saving by endo+post and which teeth should be extracted because of their bad long term prognosis(+maybe some cases😃) More or less we all know but I like Dr. Nasseh's thorough explanations and how he puts things in order combined with his personal experience 👌

    thank you for the informative video, any thoughts on the UC-CUT Sonic GP Cutter which works though a combination of heat 180 C (i think ) and vibration especially with the use of bioceramic sealer with a single cone technique, can heat and vibration facilitate a more 3D obturation of the root canal system? Would love to hear your thoughts

      @AANasseh  Před 2 lety +1

      I saw that at the last AAE meeting in Phoenix. I haven't tried it clinically to have an informed opinion. But if the sonic vibration is too much you may end up with whipping more micro-voids into the sealer instead of improving your seal. I guess the honest answer is I don't know. Cheers!

      @@AANasseh Thank you very much for your response, I would imagine that using it with bioceramic sealer with a single cone surrounded by accessory GP cones might improve the radiodontics of the case at the very least, hope you get your hands on one and share your experience with us. Thanks again :)

    What about eugenol based sealer?

    I wonder, in single visit posting procedures does the water effect the setting reactions of the sealer?

    • @AANasseh
      @AANasseh  Před 2 lety

      Why would water affect the seal? I think you mean water washing out the sealer during ultrasonication.. but that's why I believe I mentioned that you have to be careful no to touch the GP. with your ultrasonic tip. Ideally, there should only be a thin interface between the GP and the walls filled with unset sealer if proper cone fitting has been done prior to segmenting it. Cheers!

    What??!! BC Liner can be a post cement?? Etch and bonded or just the intrinsic self etching capabilities good enough??

    • @AANasseh
      @AANasseh  Před 2 lety +1

      Best to etch and bond for more retention. And use dual cure bonding agent like for any post.

    Which sealer would you recommend based on cytotoxicity and for a better seal of canal?

    • @AANasseh
      @AANasseh  Před 2 lety

      Obviously I'm biased but I've been using BC Sealer exclusively for the past 14 years.

      @@AANasseh i am usually bit concerned using bioceramic in cases of curved canals if re treatment is needed. Aren't those root canals too hard to re-treat?

    • @AANasseh
      @AANasseh  Před 2 lety +2

      @@Vishal-uz4rn If you make sure the GP cones goes all the way to your full working length then retreatment is not an issue. But if you are sloppy with your cone seating and confirmation yes, it would be more difficult to retreat. But it's like saying I'm not going to use a resin cement on seating my zirconia crowns because what if the crown is not fully seated... then I can't remove it! Well, I think it's best to learn the fundamentals of seating rather than compromise on the cement. That's my opinion at least. Cheers!

      Have you tried using a small file to bypass and then pull towards yourself? You can also use something like XP Shaper than engager and then pull up. It's important not to tear it or get it too wet so it can come out without falling apart. A hedstrom File may be helpful too. It's about engaging and pulling. good luck!

    Hello dr ali, good evening
    Hope you are doing well...
    Dear dr, i have some cases, obturation perfect and procedure done under rubber dam( i follow the standard) , follow up after 6 months or even more, healed lesion or no new lesion developed, BUT, when i do percussion, theres no pain but theres slight different sensation (discomfort) when i compare with other sound teeth. Whats the reason?
    Your kind opinion
    Regards 💐

    • @AANasseh
      @AANasseh  Před 2 lety

      It's a good question. Mostly contamination during the treatment if it was vital originally. If it was not vital, then inadequate cleaning and shaping or disinfection. It's clearly microbial in cause, the question is the source. It's important to make sure all your tools, including your GP is disinfected prior to cementation. This is probably a good subject for a video. Thanks! :)

      And in such case, we should consider it as success or uncertain or failure?
