3:14 and here I was thinking my friend was blind for not seeing an abrams shooting at us from the edge of a forest at 1km away. This is just next level.
That BTR ambush on the brad was satisfying and perfect in so many ways. Immediately dump AP into the turret to damage/disable it then use the BTR's superior speed to close the distance and outmaneuver, it's always gonna be risky but if you're gonna take on the brad with the 30mm then that's exactly how you should do it, well played!
wtf did I just watch, is this game even remotely based on real vehicles and ammo? In army training camp we used BTR`s as targets for light machineguns and 7.62 pens it almost at any angle at 50m distance. There's no way it survived encounter with Bradley esp. at this close range, unless there was only driver in Bradley and he was 4 year old, LOL.
@@jynger8455 yeah sir, you are right, cartoon BTR can be easily penetrated by any caliber. Not sure about the real ones, they were made to resist all kinds of small arms fire
@@jynger8455 Yeah haha you have a point, this strategy is only valid for killing Bradleys in the game and even then it doesn't always work, obviously a real engagement between these two vehicles wouldn't look anything like this. That is interesting though that 7.62 could penetrate BTR's armor I never knew that, in this game 7.62 does nothing to APCs.
@@deemwinch What is a cartoon BTR? Im talking about the real ones, that are used as targets on training grounds, they are stripped down, but armor wheels and engine block is still present.
@@jynger8455 Exactly! Judging by how Russian armour are faring in Ukraine, I question this gameâs overhyping of Russian units. Iâd play another game if I want realism than this, Squad is quite âarcade-ishâ and fast for my taste.

Invasion is the best squad game mode, change my mind
Itâs great when there are competent players. However, when the players are the opposite, the game takes 2 hours and it just turns in to stupidity and really makes me wanna alt f4

This game was super fun to play. Was in the Russian team and that low tickets clutch was amazing. But unfortunately the armor made us lose bcs they pushed the airport without support of infantry and died.

I really like that pre-match overview of what both team has for equipment, map layer and stuff.
This is my first eye-in-the-sky viewing. Very well done with the camera work, and it adds to the immersion of it all.
I've killed MBTs and Bradleys once every blue moon of games with the BTR specifically but only once had a game on Gorodok where killed Abrams, and 2 Bradleys among other stuff with BTR across one full game easily the most satisfying thing in squad armour when you really shouldn't win but do.
I actually had a game like this last night Canada Vs USA. USA was on the attack and that was the team I was on captured two of the objs with less then 10 tickets. needless to say we won on the 4th obj by 40 tickets. I couldn't believe it everyone in the after game chat was going nuts
why tf people rarely use grenades when clearing building and just leeroy jenkins it by entering without even checking corners
adrenaline, when I'm at the door and know there's dudes inside, my brain just goes full on "click anything that moves mode"
I only use frags when I know someone is there, they're expensive when not near a hab and you typically only have one
In regards to the UAV over Peredove around 35 minutes, there appears to be a bug with commander assets that places the actual target away from where it was placed.
I was complaining about scuffed armor games, and I finally was in the Bradley 2 and still scuffed once and u caught it lol. You caught me whiffing the BRDM, it was behind the Red Smoke! I couldnt see it and the engine pop looked like it was destroyed, so I tried to look elsewhere. I also couldnt find a third/Commander.
New game I just thought of: Do a shot every time Moi says "way downtown."

At 8:45 I was the hate but I was stuck in the BTR-80 wheel so I couldnt move or shoot. thats why i was spazzing out trying to get out.

I was there helping build the superfob. Some ppl on our team wanted the to just give up Trudove without a fight to the enemy so they can try to attack the super FOB.
Rule #1, if you donât know strategy, donât be commander. Rule #2, if you donât plan on using teamwork, donât play Squad because youâre wasting your time
Everytime I watch these I'm absolutely stunned how awful *ahem* I mean unaware many people are. Right at the beginning the no shots on the Blackhawks. I never hate on anyone for a lack of skill in terms of aim since many different factors can affect how accurate someone is in a game. But we all have brains so I do make fun of people for just having no idea whats going on lol.

I agree, being bad at aiming is fine but having no situational awareness/common sense is annoying as hell. Aiming can be fixed/improved, that other stuff generally can't.

I love the actual overarching tactics I've seen through out this match. Especially the Americans opening zone defence. We actually follow that doctrine idea

That BTR with the blackhawks in the beginning gave me way too much stress....
there are two types of squad players:
1. Those who place a. radios right next to habs b. habs ON objectives c. logi next to radio and d. build habs then abandon them
2. Smart players
I would like to see some tank battles with Abrams and t72s
In my eyes the spandrel is one of the best if not the best vehicle on maps with forest since you have good visual cover good dmg youre not that loud and youre fast
This video of the Spandrel (and Bradley, TBF) "sniping" from standoff range definitely sells the fun of a good vehicle fight. Smart hunter-killer gameplay is pretty neat to watch.

Omg, this layer can be so dope if the Russians can cap the first point! Had a great match on it over a year ago with us, RU loosing on the last cap with less than 30 minutes remaining to their 50 tickets.

I just found your channel and dude you do such a great job narrating these matches. I'm new to this style game and just started playing hell let loose on Xbox Series X and I am so lost because it's not a run and gun be a hero and merc everything or everyone you see. It's much slower based and you javelin to play smart with your squad stick to cover and for the love of God keep your head down and only shoot at what you can see. It took me 3 or 4 games and roughly 2 hours of playing just to get one kill and I was so excited. Most of the time I'm just running scared and amazed at everything going on rounds zipping by explosions bodies flying just chaos. Is this game here called Squad and is it only on PC? Arma is finally coming oit on console so im curious to try that when it does. In the mean time I'll keep watching or I'll eventually have to buy a PC because this looks amazing!! Keep up the great work and sorry for the long message
Sorry forgive me if this is a stupid question, Squad is a game I've looked at getting for ages but never have. Watching these videos is really making me want to buy it!! But is this invasion game mode similar to the Rush mode in the battlefield games? Obviously seems more tactical and in depth than battlefield though.
Invasion just means, when the attacking team capture a point, the defending team can not recapture it.
Was away from FPS games for a very long time, but got back in a year ago with HLL. Played about 600 hours so far and enjoy comms, SL, tactics, building spawn points, etc.
Squad has been on my radar for a bit, and plan to watch some more gameplay videos to get a better grasp of it.
Do the skills transfer over? How's the community, as a person who understands comms, team play, and tactics, is the community forgiving? Or should I just expect to get smoked a bit lol

Find a good server (Squadops, Potato Field, Playground), join a squad, use a mic, let your SL know you're a newb, be prepared to die a lot. This isn't like a lot of other shooters. You will have a learning curve. Engagement ranges with your rifle tend to be long range.
@@cadkoger Just played for a few hours. Awesome game but definitely going to take some time before I get good. Didn't get many kills, 95% of the deaths I had no idea where it came from but the team / tactical aspect of the game is pretty cool. Will definitely be sinking some time into it.
