Having the ability to have your map open on a 2nd monitor is something I would be 100% down for!!!
I’ve always wanted this. But I have to say I feel like it would be a balance issue; Someone in armor/heli/infantry with a second monitor could definitely have an easier time over someone that doesn’t.
But that unbalance all hangs on teammates actually giving consistent accurate marks.
Most modern military vehicles have MFDs (Multi Function Display) so for things like helos that would be fine.
@@ttpechon2535 Squad already has MFDs in all helicopters, I think there might be a land vehicle or two that has them as well

And here I was thinking that there should be an animation for soldiers to pull out a physical map and compass so they don't rely on it so much

Had a match a day ago of irregulars vs usmc and those scout cars carried us hard. With good comms and positioning they are pretty strong.

Its crazy how many times ive played these maps amd how different each time was. Narva and Fallujah play the same usually but others will have you in new places every time.
i feel like there arent enough combat proficient helicopter pilots in squad, the guys that excel at hot landings and take offs
I agree, there definitely isn’t, I have around 4,000 hours in Squad, prob around 2,500 of that is in helicopters.
It blows my mind when I hear people say that they’ve never touched the ground in a heli without dying, or that they’ve just never had a good heli experience at all
That's the way it should be. Flying should be hard. From my experience, most players won't even touch a helicopter because they know it's hard. There are a lot of rookies that do try in live games, when they shouldn't but I'd say there are a decent number of experienced pilots in squad. It seems to me that maybe 50% of the time, a decent pilot grabs the heli or perhaps just my experience from players in the OS server. I fly all the time and I notice many players choose to practice live server, when they shouldn't. I did a minimum of 15 minutes of practice, before I went to a live server, each day, for a month, before I began flying other players around. Though, I did rack up more practice hours, due to occasional days of 30+ minute practice sessions. I'd say 25-30 hours before I went live.
@@johnm3845 with that mindset the Squad Community is hopeless, it’s not about the pilots themselves; It’s about the utilization of helis, I’d say a solid 60% of pilots are completely useless while flying, even the ones that can do all the j-hooks in the world, flying/landing good even with style doesn’t make you a good pilot. A lot of the deaths and other heli misfortunes I mentioned that I hear about happen from cocky pilots that do before they think.
And the 40% that aren’t useless? Well we’re sitting tight waiting for helis to actually get some love in the game, we’ve dedicated almost a decade to a game that’s ignoring one of its biggest features
@@JohnCampbell You're implying the squad community is doomed because it takes practice to get good at flying? Seriously?
@@JohnCampbell Can you give an example of helis "getting some love in the game"? Most pilots that can land like a pro are actually pretty good at utilizing the heli because they usually have lots of hours and know how to play well. It's the other squads that are the problem. Squads that don't place armor marks and get the heli killed or matches where no squad is wanting to place heli fobs, and instead spawn 500+ meters away or walk 1000M to the attack point.

I find it much easier to follow what is happening when outlines/names are on. It's near impossible to know where anyone is otherwise.

Im pretty sure people were stream sniping. That T62 crew randomly knew where infantry was right as you focused on them and there was nobody around the tank that could've spotted them...

I think you could take your channel to another level if you had two pc's running separate angles (perhaps a friend helping) and your editing could cut back on the travel across the map sections, thus showing more action, more often. I understand this is a difficult multitask but if you did it well, it would really change the action of watching. A heated battle, constantly being able quickly switch to different angles, through editing, would make for one amazing video.

this is one of the most frustrating match ive seen....militia failing by alot..no commute..no scout...no callouts....man feels so stupid
Pretty poor use of the helicopter by Marine forces. Not typically used for insertion, more of anti-vehicle platform.
