This will not happen if Bullet Jalosjos did not disclose anything during an interview with Boy Abunda about Eat Bulaga issues specifically TVJ. And if they love the show, and have respect for TVJ, EB Hosts, Mr. T, and staff as well, this should be discussed internally. In 43 years of existence, there are no issues on Eat Bulaga that publicly exposed.
Ms. Maglipon, altough I respect your opinion, however, as a former executive (semi-retired now), I beg to differ in some of your opinion(s). I understand that you say the Jalosjos brothers were "decent", but their lack of foresight and understanding of people are clearly showing. They may have been part of TAPE for awhile now but TVJ are like the founders of this show, they can't just bully people by their position. I watched that interview and I just feel strongly the Jalosjos sense of entitlement. They keep mentioning their positions in the company as if that's enough to give them the respect they crave. That show was built by the back of TVJ and the production team, Mr. Tuviera understood that and run it perfectly. Jalosjos family should have consulted Mr. Tuviera and TVJ about their plans and build a transition plan around it. They should have allowed Mr. Tuviera to plan the transition as befits his standing not only with TAPE but also with the show and it's cast. What they did was basically hostage everybody to accept whatever idiotic decisions they made and basically are sucking the life of the goose that lays the golden egg. Actions have consequences and this is the result of their way of thinking. KARMA is real.
Correct. As I mentioned in another thread, Jo-ann should have disclosed the fact that PEP is owned by GMA7 which has a partnership with TAPE owned majority owned by Jalosjos. Otherwise she should have been more forthright in her analysis of the Jalosjos brothers. She says both Jonjon and Bullet were decent, articulate, and reasonable. She did not bring any discrepancies in the same PEP interview where they said Eat Bulaga is TVJ and hindi mapapalitan and yet they also said there hss to be fresh blood in Eat Bulaga. Tito has said in many interviews that Mr T did not retire. He was forced to resign so that Jonjon can take over. But Jo-ann just said the Jalosjos was just concerned about continuity with Mr T being old, to put it bluntly. The Jalosjos may have been there from the start of TAPE in 1981 but they have always been passive. Everything was handled by Mr T. Eat Bulaga became famous not because of TAPE but because of TVJ.

It's sad to see Jo-ann Maglipon showing her bias to Jalosjos and ultimately GMA-7 which owns PEP. She was praising the Jalosjos brothers for being "decent, articulate, and very reasonable" and yet she did not point out all the discrepancies that have been coming out from Jonjon and Bullet from the PEP interviews. They said TAPE has no cash flow problem, and yet they have asked all talents and staff to cut their salaries between 10-30 percent because the company is losing money. Bullet, as the CFO of the company keeps on saying that there are irregularities in the finances and are missing several millions of pesos due to a person, yet does not name the person nor specify what the irregularities are? Tito Sotto on a separate interview has already stated that it was most likely Romy Jalosjos, the patriarch of the family that has been getting advanced payment/income. You can see she's trying not to blame TVJ lest she be bashed by dabarkads but also trying to make the image of the Jalosjos in a better light (by not digging deeper into what they had been saying everywhere.) Which brings us to poor Mr T - Tony Tuviera. You can see she was using the Jalosjos excuse that Mr T is already going on in years that's why the sons have taken over the company. But in Tito Sotto interviews, he says that Mr T did not retire but was forced to retire so that the sons can take over. She also mentions, all these financial difficulties/discrepancies were happening while Mr T was running the show but seems to forget that she also said that Mr T only owns 25% of TAPE. Now, if the patriarch/owner of the company wants to get money since he owns 75% of the company, can Mr T who only owns 25% prevent him from getting the money he wants? What I really see is that a bunch of entitled children with the blessing of the father try to take over a business (note business not company) that has been going on smoothly for 44 years so they can do what they want - replace hosts with people that they favor and put segments that will further stabilize their foothold in politics. Kaya nag-aantay ako ng news kung kelan nila ilalabas ang kanilang segment na "Search for Kasambahay" or something else related to kasambahay so they can pursue their goal of setting up a party-list related to kasambahay which ultimately caused TVJ to leave TAPE.

You know what really broke the camel’s back? Bullet’s interview with Boy Abunda. Lies after lies after lies. TVJ and group tried to settle it privately but this dude just didn’t stop the BS until TVJ had enough. The disrespect was a huge deal. TVJ and Mr.T have a great working and personal relationship for the past more than 4 decades. Imagine, these brothers came out of nowhere, kicked Mr. T out, who eveyone loved so dearly, just because “he’s too old”. They told TVJ that they’ll retain them, with TVJ being the main stars of the show; slowly tried to remove Ryzza as they don’t like her cause she’s “ugly”, wanted to replace Maine for this Soraya, and so on. These brothers are really “outsiders” who tried to “dominate” the show and production in obviously an extremely wrong way. They tried to break what seemed to be a perfect group out of nowhere. Why do you think that after TVJ’s announcement, not only did the Dabarkads resign, but most of the OG staff mass resigned, too? The tug of war over the title is just unbelievable. That title have been established, probably even before some of the borthers were born, but yet, they claim the ownership to it. They should know exactly why they are being bashed. Where’s the decency there? Their show would never be seen as Eat Bulaga. It will forever be known as the fake one, Eat Bulagta as they say. If they really want to make a business and save what they still have, would be best for them to give the title to where its due and start anew. Stop using the victim card. Until then, people would never stop bashing and they might end up losing more that they aim to earn.

I love this interview. It is such a smart and unbiased discussion. Pero on one point, I think there are studies that have said that certain no good traits of Filipinos are from TVJ and Eat Bulaga but if you think about that, for 44yrs these people became part of our culture and our cultural identity. How can you replace something that was there even before you were born, seen almost everyday, or atleast Saturdays if you have class or work, loved by a lot of people. Seen on TV ads, brands, pictures of products, billboards, heck one even became senate president so you see atleast part of them on news on a regular basis. And replace with people who are unknown carrying the brand that TVJ had worked on for close to 44yrs. Let TVJ have Eat Bulaga as what they deserve until the very last time and for them to pass the baton on who they see that is worthy to replace them once they no longer are capable of it. Afterall TVJ are already on their senior years.
Never underestimate the contributions of the seniors. They have the wisdom and experience to pass onto the next generations. Who are we to tell them it’s time to retire? In N. America, retirement is a choice. As long as the individual is capable, s/he is welcome to continue servicing the community. You know why? Work is the only way that will make the seniors continue to be productive emotionally, socially, and intellectually. It is better for them to be out in the society than wait for their dying years at home and be a challenge to both their families and community.
Beyond what the viewers can see, there is a family in the whole production. TVJ had helped families in the production (financial, moral, etc.) because they are family and they take care of their family in the true sense of the word. People don't see it but the whole team can feel this. You cannot put good people down. We have a God that can see even if heartless people can't.

The entertainment of the original TVJ with the Dabarkads that makes them beyond compare is always their improptu act on a daily basis. Yes, the games are repeated but how they present the game to every unique contestant is so unique and also the way they crack jokes specially Jose and Wally, is miles apart from those who try to imitate them.
What I don't understand and liked about the PEP interview on the Jalosjos brothers are the lack of clarifications and questions regarding some of the obvious contrasting statements between the two parties. Here are some some of a more straight forward and intriguing questions 1. Bullet said they have no outstanding debt or unpaid wages to Vic and Joey. But after several days after that interview, one of the Jalosjos brothers reached out, went to APT studios and settled their debt in which Vic confirmed. So is Bullet simply lying? or he was not aware of that issue which is weird given his position in the finance dept of TAPE Inc. 2. The brothers reiterated that the TAPE is FINANCIALLY sound and is not losing money based on the interviews. But they told their staff and host the opposite which is why they need to supposedly cut off salaries. TVJ and other hosts confirmed that particular issue even saying that it was not only 10% liked what was agreed upon but rather around 20 to 30 percent was cut off their wages. So are they simply lying again? Who's telling the truth? 3. Their position has always been as producers while TVJ are the ones who are managing the actual production. They even tell that all the segments are being approved by their father to which TVJ strongly disagreed so this would be another contrasting statements. My thoughts were they can easily step in for their father and Tuviera which are both just producers. So why they are insisting on infiltrating the production's side of things like firing some of the existing directors, writers and even some of the hosts. What's the agenda? to include and promote the alleged party list for the next election like what Tito has been disclosing or they just simply want to take over and manage the show as a whole? 4. Finally, in some part of that PEP interview, the brothers are asking "what's really the TVJ's problem about them?" That they don't know why Tito Sen is suddenly speaking up against when all they wanted was just to work with them until the 50th anniversary of the show. All of these questions above might answer that question. Who's telling the truth? of course Tito will speak up because you guys gave a false and contrasting statements about the show and all the hosts according to him. Unpaid wages, debt, replacing some of the staffs and hosts and cutting off their wages are some of the obvious reasons if ever that is not too obvious for them. A lot of these things need clarifications.
Pep.ph is bias also the jalosjos is lying it is proven when they paid the debt to Vic Sotto also most of the staffs join the TVJ they don't announced or forced them to join but they willingly join the TVJ imagine that lol .
Bullet Jalosjos destroyed the "Status Quo" agreement. I don't know who initiated the interview. GMA via Boy Abunda or Bullet asked to be interviewed. Either way I felt GMA is partly liable for allowing Bullet to interviewed. According to Tito Sen, they can take the agreed status quo until December 2023 as long nobody talks to the media.
The new hosts won't be bashed IF directly introduced properly by TVJ and Dabarkads who built the show since 1979. What happens is that TAPE Inc. introduced new hosts just after TVJ and original Dabarkads' exit that is currently not on a good faith, in tagalog we can say "panakip butas" mga new host.
Tuviera owns 25% of TAGE. How come TVJs are not stockholders as what was promised to them? How come TAPE owes Vic millions of pesos of unpaid salary as well as the others?

For the Eat Bulaga theme song, per my research, lyrics were by Vincent Dy Buncio and Pancho Oppus, melody by Vic Sotto and musical arrangement by Homer Flores. So, it is these three people who have rights to certain parts of the theme song: VDB and PO as a literary work, VS as a musical work and HF as a musical arrangement.
Really! The Jalosjos asked what did they do to TVJ? There's only one word and powerful word as a human, RESPECT! You know what tvj has? Leadership. You have to be desperate to take tape on their offer. But people risked stability and followed uncertainties when they quit and followed tvj. Tv5’s reach isn’t as far as gma, the infrastructure and the people needs to be trained, the equipment, it’s a lot to pull off in a few weeks. But if successful, my hats off to them. What jalosjos lacked was not only managerial skills but leadership. They can’t properly communicate. It seems like they didn’t do risk analysis for removing tvj from the equation, not did they utilize a pr firm or damage control expert to handle the situation. What the jalosjos did was very insensitive act of power play. They wanna tell the world ,we r the owner, the boss the financier and they wanna be known by the people. They wanted the world to gratify them, adored them for finncing the show. It’s the generation of 70s 80s 90s can only understand the love and support we have for TVJ EAT BULAGA. I grew up watching them from a little girl up until I have a family of my own. It becomes part of every Filipinos households. A simple action and a funny jokes is such a big deal to us. Makes us laugh and entertained. For my own opinion, Jalosjos Siblings could do what they want because they own Tape Inc. but if they want changes they make sure na lahat komportable at maunawaan nila ang reason sa mga pagbabago na magaganap at huwag din sana biglain. They should have just followed the usual course. They are not losing money. they wanted it all. And they have an agenda: to win in the national election. This is the root cause.
This is by far the best analysis and insights I have watched. Di gaya ng ilang vloggers na one-sided at obviously gusto lang palakihin ang gulo at pagkakitaan. Anyway, I agree with Ms. Jo-Ann that it all boils down to respect. I believe that is what the Jalosjos brothers failed to do. I’m not saying na sinadya nilang “bastusin” ang TVJ kaso tingin ko, mali ang diskarte ng pasok nila. This is common sa mga companies na beterano na ang mga employees tapos may isang newly hired boss na maraming gustong baguhin. I understand na gusto ng mga Jalosjos brothers to continue the legacy of Eat Bulaga at kumita, syempre. They may be great in their other businesses, but when it comes to entertaining people, they know nothing. Ang siste, magha-hire sila ng creative team, writers, at hosts pero walang malinaw na basis kung uubra o hindi. On the other hand, TVJ is not after the money. Ang gusto na lang nila, legacy. Plus, their decades of experience are a great asset when it comes to creativity. Although may separate creative team at writers ang EB at hindi TVJ ang may final say sa mga segments, kaya nilang mag input ng ideas na malaki ang chance na magugustuhan ng mga tao. This happens when you put an inexperienced Child of Owner (COO) to create structure on an unstructured success. The J bros. should have not touched the show,. They should have worked with the Dabarkads on how to increase the revenue if they are struggling with financials. Succession plan is best discussed when there is no friction. That's what you do to keep them working hard and avoid disruption of success. Now that they have lost TVJ the honorable thing to do is to give TVJ the EB name and start their own show with a different brand. They will earn the respect of the Filipino people.

Highly clarificatory! Very well said, Ms Jo-ann Maglipon. For the Jalosjos brothers, it's just a mere business.. They have their politics and they have other businesses. But for TVJ, it's their BEST: Blood, Energy, Sweat and Tears, it's their "baby" , their creation, and it's their life. Being at the midnight of their lives, RESPECT has become vital for them. Respect for their work, respect for their Art, respect for them as creators. Must be downright difficult for these young guys to give, considering their background.
When Joanne said that the Jalosjos brothers were decent, articulate, reasonable, and reigned in their temper. They were proper financiers... and that they were. But you failed to address the contradictions that Tito Sotto raised between what was said during the general assembly and at the interview of Bullet Jalosjos with Boy Abunda which started this.

Eat Bulaga is a brand name which has a lot of value today because of more than 4 decades of effort from TVJ and the whole production staff. The element of charisma droved it all home. And ofcourse the natural talents of the hosts further contributed a lot to this. Without those, Eat Bulaga is just another generic noon time show, which, although manned by competent production team, will never get to where they used to be. The Jalosjos underestimated the value of these components. They should have brainstormed the consequences before they even started proposing changes. Now, those changes haunt them to this very day. My two cents? At least change the name of the show, and NEVER, ever, use the term "Dabarkads", please.

And if they love the show, and have respect for TVJ, EB Hosts, Mr. T, and staff as well, this should be discussed internally. Ms. Maglipon, altough I respect your opinion, however, as a former executive (semi-retired now), I beg to differ in some of your opinion(s). I understand that you say the Jalosjos brothers were "decent", but their lack of foresight and understanding of people are clearly showing. They may have been part of TAPE for awhile now but TVJ are like the founders of this show, they can't just bully people by their position. I watched that interview and I just feel strongly the Jalosjos sense of entitlement. They keep mentioning their positions in the company as if that's enough to give them the respect they crave. That show was built by the back of TVJ and the production team, Mr. Tuviera understood that and run it perfectly. Jalosjos family should have consulted Mr. Tuviera and TVJ about their plans and build a transition plan around it. They should have allowed Mr. Tuviera to plan the transition as befits his standing not only with TAPE but also with the show and it's cast. What they did was basically hostage everybody to accept whatever idiotic decisions they made and basically are sucking the life of the goose that lays the golden egg. Actions have consequences and this is the result of their way of thinking. KARMA is real.

Correct. As I mentioned in another thread, Jo-ann should have disclosed the fact that PEP is owned by GMA7 which has a partnership with TAPE owned majority owned by Jalosjos. Otherwise she should have been more forthright in her analysis of the Jalosjos brothers. She says both Jonjon and Bullet were decent, articulate, and reasonable. She did not bring any discrepancies in the same PEP interview where they said Eat Bulaga is TVJ and hindi mapapalitan and yet they also said there hss to be fresh blood in Eat Bulaga. Tito has said in many interviews that Mr T did not retire. He was forced to resign so that Jonjon can take over. But Jo-ann just said the Jalosjos was just concerned about continuity with Mr T being old, to put it bluntly. The Jalosjos may have been there from the start of TAPE in 1981 but they have always been passive. Everything was handled by Mr T. Eat Bulaga became famous not because of TAPE but because of TVJ.

It's sad to see Jo-ann Maglipon showing her bias to Jalosjos and ultimately GMA-7 which owns PEP. She was praising the Jalosjos brothers for being "decent, articulate, and very reasonable" and yet she did not point out all the discrepancies that have been coming out from Jonjon and Bullet from the PEP interviews. They said TAPE has no cash flow problem, and yet they have asked all talents and staff to cut their salaries between 10-30 percent because the company is losing money. Bullet, as the CFO of the company keeps on saying that there are irregularities in the finances and are missing several millions of pesos due to a person, yet does not name the person nor specify what the irregularities are? Tito Sotto on a separate interview has already stated that it was most likely Romy Jalosjos, the patriarch of the family that has been getting advanced payment/income. You can see she's trying not to blame TVJ lest she be bashed by dabarkads but also trying to make the image of the Jalosjos in a better light (by not digging deeper into what they had been saying everywhere.) Which brings us to poor Mr T - Tony Tuviera. You can see she was using the Jalosjos excuse that Mr T is already going on in years that's why the sons have taken over the company. But in Tito Sotto interviews, he says that Mr T did not retire but was forced to retire so that the sons can take over. She also mentions, all these financial difficulties/discrepancies were happening while Mr T was running the show but seems to forget that she also said that Mr T only owns 25% of TAPE. Now, if the patriarch/owner of the company wants to get money since he owns 75% of the company, can Mr T who only owns 25% prevent him from getting the money he wants? What I really see is that a bunch of entitled children with the blessing of the father try to take over a business (note business not company) that has been going on smoothly for 44 years so they can do what they want - replace hosts with people that they favor and put segments that will further stabilize their foothold in politics. Kaya nag-aantay ako ng news kung kelan nila ilalabas ang kanilang segment na "Search for Kasambahay" or something else related to kasambahay so they can pursue their goal of setting up a party-list related to kasambahay which ultimately caused TVJ to leave TAPE.

You know what really broke the camel’s back? Bullet’s interview with Boy Abunda. Lies after lies after lies. TVJ and group tried to settle it privately but this dude just didn’t stop the BS until TVJ had enough.
The disrespect was a huge deal. TVJ and Mr.T have a great working and personal relationship for the past more than 4 decades. Imagine, these brothers came out of nowhere, kicked Mr. T out, who eveyone loved so dearly, just because “he’s too old”. They told TVJ that they’ll retain them, with TVJ being the main stars of the show; slowly tried to remove Ryzza as they don’t like her cause she’s “ugly”, wanted to replace Maine for this Soraya, and so on.
These brothers are really “outsiders” who tried to “dominate” the show and production in obviously an extremely wrong way. They tried to break what seemed to be a perfect group out of nowhere. Why do you think that after TVJ’s announcement, not only did the Dabarkads resign, but most of the OG staff mass resigned, too?
The tug of war over the title is just unbelievable. That title have been established, probably even before some of the borthers were born, but yet, they claim the ownership to it. They should know exactly why they are being bashed. Where’s the decency there? Their show would never be seen as Eat Bulaga. It will forever be known as the fake one, Eat Bulagta as they say.
If they really want to make a business and save what they still have, would be best for them to give the title to where its due and start anew. Stop using the victim card. Until then, people would never stop bashing and they might end up losing more that they aim to earn.

I love this interview. It is such a smart and unbiased discussion. Pero on one point, I think there are studies that have said that certain no good traits of Filipinos are from TVJ and Eat Bulaga but if you think about that, for 44yrs these people became part of our culture and our cultural identity. How can you replace something that was there even before you were born, seen almost everyday, or atleast Saturdays if you have class or work, loved by a lot of people. Seen on TV ads, brands, pictures of products, billboards, heck one even became senate president so you see atleast part of them on news on a regular basis. And replace with people who are unknown carrying the brand that TVJ had worked on for close to 44yrs. Let TVJ have Eat Bulaga as what they deserve until the very last time and for them to pass the baton on who they see that is worthy to replace them once they no longer are capable of it. Afterall TVJ are already on their senior years.
Never underestimate the contributions of the seniors. They have the wisdom and experience to pass onto the next generations. Who are we to tell them it’s time to retire? In N. America, retirement is a choice. As long as the individual is capable, s/he is welcome to continue servicing the community. You know why? Work is the only way that will make the seniors continue to be productive emotionally, socially, and intellectually. It is better for them to be out in the society than wait for their dying years at home and be a challenge to both their families and community.
Beyond what the viewers can see, there is a family in the whole production. TVJ had helped families in the production (financial, moral, etc.) because they are family and they take care of their family in the true sense of the word. People don't see it but the whole team can feel this. You cannot put good people down. We have a God that can see even if heartless people can't.

The entertainment of the original TVJ with the Dabarkads that makes them beyond compare is always their improptu act on a daily basis. Yes, the games are repeated but how they present the game to every unique contestant is so unique and also the way they crack jokes specially Jose and Wally, is miles apart from those who try to imitate them.
What I don't understand and liked about the PEP interview on the Jalosjos brothers are the lack of clarifications and questions regarding some of the obvious contrasting statements between the two parties. Here are some some of a more straight forward and intriguing questions
1. Bullet said they have no outstanding debt or unpaid wages to Vic and Joey. But after several days after that interview, one of the Jalosjos brothers reached out, went to APT studios and settled their debt in which Vic confirmed. So is Bullet simply lying? or he was not aware of that issue which is weird given his position in the finance dept of TAPE Inc.
2. The brothers reiterated that the TAPE is FINANCIALLY sound and is not losing money based on the interviews. But they told their staff and host the opposite which is why they need to supposedly cut off salaries. TVJ and other hosts confirmed that particular issue even saying that it was not only 10% liked what was agreed upon but rather around 20 to 30 percent was cut off their wages. So are they simply lying again? Who's telling the truth?
3. Their position has always been as producers while TVJ are the ones who are managing the actual production. They even tell that all the segments are being approved by their father to which TVJ strongly disagreed so this would be another contrasting statements. My thoughts were they can easily step in for their father and Tuviera which are both just producers. So why they are insisting on infiltrating the production's side of things like firing some of the existing directors, writers and even some of the hosts. What's the agenda? to include and promote the alleged party list for the next election like what Tito has been disclosing or they just simply want to take over and manage the show as a whole?
4. Finally, in some part of that PEP interview, the brothers are asking "what's really the TVJ's problem about them?" That they don't know why Tito Sen is suddenly speaking up against when all they wanted was just to work with them until the 50th anniversary of the show.
All of these questions above might answer that question. Who's telling the truth? of course Tito will speak up because you guys gave a false and contrasting statements about the show and all the hosts according to him. Unpaid wages, debt, replacing some of the staffs and hosts and cutting off their wages are some of the obvious reasons if ever that is not too obvious for them. A lot of these things need clarifications.

Bullet Jalosjos destroyed the "Status Quo" agreement. I don't know who initiated the interview. GMA via Boy Abunda or Bullet asked to be interviewed. Either way I felt GMA is partly liable for allowing Bullet to interviewed. According to Tito Sen, they can take the agreed status quo until December 2023 as long nobody talks to the media.
The new hosts won't be bashed IF directly introduced properly by TVJ and Dabarkads who built the show since 1979. What happens is that TAPE Inc. introduced new hosts just after TVJ and original Dabarkads' exit that is currently not on a good faith, in tagalog we can say "panakip butas" mga new host.

For the Eat Bulaga theme song, per my research, lyrics were by Vincent Dy Buncio and Pancho Oppus, melody by Vic Sotto and musical arrangement by Homer Flores. So, it is these three people who have rights to certain parts of the theme song: VDB and PO as a literary work, VS as a musical work and HF as a musical arrangement.

Easy solution, jalosjos should just give the EB title to TVJ and move on, don' t talk anymore legality and blah blah, then maybe you can still gain respect from the followers of EB TVJ for 44 years!

I’m excited for the new updates for TVJ shows and it doesn’t matter to me if they need to change the title of the noon time show cause what’s important are the people behind it! Go for GOLD TVJ! Lovea guys jowapao, Aldub, lola ni dora, doctoka dora, super sireyna, maid in the phils, little miss Phil’s, pinoy henyo, bulagaan, mr pogi, etc etc etc! You can never find any noon time show like them with too many contents! Brilliant work and ideas that made them reach 40+ years! ❤❤❤
You know what tvj has? Leadership. You have to be desperate to take tape on their offer. But people risked stability and followed uncertainties when they quit and followed tvj. Tv5’s reach isn’t as far as gma, the infrastructure and the people needs to be trained, the equipment, it’s a lot to pull off in a few weeks. But if successful, my hats off to them. What jalosjos lacked was not only managerial skills but leadership. They can’t properly communicate. It seems like they didn’t do risk analysis for removing tvj from the equation, not did they utilize a pr firm or damage control expert to handle the situation. EB was not directly produced under GMA unlike, say SOP or how ABS-CBN produced Showtime or MTB. Not sure how TV5 would be to the new TVJ show though.

Ang TVJ/Eat Bulaga parang "asawa" ng taong bayan. Nandyan lang, ginagawa lahat, minsan na kakaligtaan. Pero ayaw mong mawala sa buhay mo. This is exactly what happened to many of us.
Si sir Joey ang nakaisip ng title ng Eat Bulaga at si Bossing naman sa Theme song ng Eat Bulaga so basically sa knila yan, wala pa ang Tape Inc nuon..1981 palang sila dumating at kahit ano pa ang sabihin at idahilan nila kesehodang sila ang financer o sila ang boss ng TVJ ay still di maitatangging si Henyo Master parin talaga ang title holder ng Eat Bulaga at si Bossing ang composer ng theme song nito. One good example kahit pa nagbayad ka composer na magcompose para sayo still sa composer parin ang kanta nya dahil sya ang may likha nuon gaya naman ni sir Joey na nakaisip at lumikha ng title na Eat Bulaga at Bossing na nagcompose ng temes song...sa kanila yun kahit sabihing boss pa nila ang mga Jalosjos..kina Vic at Joey parin yun dahil si Joey ang nakaisip ng title at si Vic naman ang gumawa ng lyrico ng kanta so kanila pa din yan. Simple logic yan haha
What the jalosjos did was very insensitive act of power play. They wanna tell the world ,we r the owner, the boss the financier and they wanna be known by the people. They wanted the world to gratify them, adored them for finncing the show. They belittle the tvj by saying, " The show success dd not depend only on the tvj , theres a lot of pipol worked for it to succeed.That is very hurting to us how much more to tvj.

It’s the generation of 70s 80s 90s can only understand the love and support we have for TVJ EAT BULAGA. I grew up watching them from a little girl up until I have a family of my own. It becomes part of every Filipinos households. A simple action and a funny jokes is such a big deal to us. Makes us laugh and entertained.
However those new generation of young viewers will find it differently that’s why they were rooting for other shows. It’s fine.

Jo-Ann has a point, the Jalosjos brothers will take care the production on behalf of their father, they can manage EB and make some changes for the better result of the show. For my own opinion, Jalosjos Siblings could do what they want because they own Tape Inc. but if they want changes they make sure na lahat komportable at maunawaan nila ang reason sa mga pagbabago na magaganap at huwag din sana biglain. Syempre sa almost 44yrs. ganun ang naging arrangement nila kay Mr. Tony T. tapos biglang papasok 'yung mag kakapatid to make some changes. tapos gusto ng pag retirehin ang TVJ dahil may edad na, It's really hurts on their parts. ginawa nila ang lahat para ma maintain ang show, hindi katwiran na para mabigyan ng chance ang iba pang celebrities. regarding dun sa utang kay Vic and Joey, maybe hindi na sila nag sasalita o naniningil dahil okay nmn ang treatment sakanila, I think nag start to nung nag pa interview si Bullet kay tito boy nung sinabi nya na walang utang kay vic at joey. Dun sila nag react. Hindi nmn siguro yan tulad ng mga blogger na para may maicontent lang gagawa nalang ng ingay sa socmed kaya in public sila nag paalam na hihiwalay sila sa Tape. Inc. This is by far the best analysis and insights I have watched. Di gaya ng ilang vloggers na one-sided at obviously gusto lang palakihin ang gulo at pagkakitaan.
Anyway, I agree with Ms. Jo-Ann that it all boils down to respect. I believe that is what the Jalosjos brothers failed to do. I’m not saying na sinadya nilang “bastusin” ang TVJ kaso tingin ko, mali ang diskarte ng pasok nila. This is common sa mga companies na beterano na ang mga employees tapos may isang newly hired boss na maraming gustong baguhin.
I understand na gusto ng mga Jalosjos brothers to continue the legacy of Eat Bulaga at kumita, syempre. They may be great in their other businesses, but when it comes to entertaining people, they know nothing. Ang siste, magha-hire sila ng creative team, writers, at hosts pero walang malinaw na basis kung uubra o hindi.
On the other hand, TVJ is not after the money. Ang gusto na lang nila, legacy. Plus, their decades of experience are a great asset when it comes to creativity. Although may separate creative team at writers ang EB at hindi TVJ ang may final say sa mga segments, kaya nilang mag input ng ideas na malaki ang chance na magugustuhan ng mga tao.
I honestly believe na di tatagal ang “Eat Bulaga” ng TAPE. So, kung sakali mang katigan sila ng korte na pwde nila gamitin ang name, tingin ko yun din ang magpapalubog sa kanila, lalo na pag nag air na ang original Eat Bulaga sa TV5. Kasi sa mata ng mga Pinoy, ang Eat Bulaga ay TVJ and will always be.
May ques po ang new mgmt sa TVJ re disbursement of money. Thats why they are being audited

This happens when you put an inexperienced Child of Owner (COO) to create structure on an unstructured success. The J bros. should have not touched the show,. They should have worked with the Dabarkads on how to increase the revenue if they are struggling with financials. Succession plan is best discussed when there is no friction. That's what you do to keep them working hard and avoid disruption of success.
Now that they have lost TVJ the honorable thing to do is to give TVJ the EB name and start their own show with a different brand. They will earn the respect of the Filipino people.

For the Jalosjos brothers, it's just a mere business.. They have their politics and they have other businesses. But for TVJ, it's their BEST: Blood, Energy, Sweat and Tears, it's their "baby" , their creation, and it's their life. Being at the midnight of their lives, RESPECT has become vital for them. Respect for their work, respect for their Art, respect for them as creators. Must be downright difficult for these young guys to give, considering their background.

Eat Bulaga is a brand name which has a lot of value today because of more than 4 decades of effort from TVJ and the whole production staff. The element of charisma droved it all home. And ofcourse the natural talents of the hosts further contributed a lot to this. Without those, Eat Bulaga is just another generic noon time show, which, although manned by competent production team, will never get to where they used to be. The Jalosjos underestimated the value of these components. They should have brainstormed the consequences before they even started proposing changes. Now, those changes haunt them to this very day. My two cents? At least change the name of the show, and NEVER, ever, use the term "Dabarkads", please.
