Whoever came up with the idea to use the discarded Baymax as a villain deserves huge props (and probably a raise). The fact that he lacked a heart worked PERFECTLY for this series.

I’ve never played Kingdom Hearts before, but I love how they handle storylines, especially seeing their alternate continuation of Big Hero 6.
Disney doesn’t let them do much. I’m glad they got to play with Big Hero 6.
And even more props to PIXAR for being more open; better late than never.

After watching Big Hero 6, I always imagined a scene where if the first Baymax were to come back from the rift, he would be evil and try to defeat the current Baymax. Never thought that Kingdom Hearts would do it. Its like a dream come true.

For those wondering in the movie the second Baymax is technically still the first because Hiro still uses his original personality core after the original one sacrificed himself to save him but unbeknownst to Hiro Baymax sent him back with his original personality core. That chip that’s in the game, in the movie it was only a chip with fighting moves. The game goes against the movie here but just thought I’d help clear things up in case anyone is confused.
That could have been a sequel
My favorite world in kh3. Hiro meets the Baymax that his brother made. I see a lot of people say that his response is weird since the second Baymax is right there but they seem to miss the point. This is Tadishis Baymax, the one he had those connections with from the movie along with the fact that this is the one his brother spent so long on to make work. He said it was made to help people and here it is being used to harm, going completely against Hiro's brothers idea. His sadness that his brothers creation might have needed to be destroyed was honestly the saddest disney world moment to me onto the Kh stuff, Data riku from com was the on the side of evil while the second Baymax is on the side of good. Og Riku is on the side of good while Og Baymax is on the side of evil. It's a perfect correlation along with how Sora comes to see how Roxas felt and gets a better understanding of his nobody (the ice cream scene). This was the world I was looking forward too the most and it definitely delivered. Also coming back to this world with glide is one of the best experiences in this game. Sorry for the long comment but to me this world is so underrated.
I feel sorry for all the people that didn’t understand that when playing the game. They’re like "This is getting out of hand! Now there are two of them!" (Star Wars reference. lol) Speaking of "out of hand", it explains Evil Baymax’s data cube hand. It’s gone because of how he saved Hiro.
while i can completely understand that idea of this being the baymax that tadashi made and thus hiro not wanting it to be tarnished by being used to harm people, i'm still confused about him acting like it's baymax because it's not, baymax is stored in the chip, dark baymax is just the robot body baymax *used* to occupy, sure it's still the robot body that tadashi made being used to do the opposite of his intended purpose for it but that's it, the same baymax that he met through tadashi and spent the entire movie with never left him, he just needed a new body to occupy and is right there with him in this scene.
@connortg5 The way I view it is that since the body is now out of the portal dimension thingy, Hiro could program it and make it just as Tadashi intended. Seeing the body of his brothers creation being used for evil likely hurts him a lot since he knows he can fix him. I think it's more like the first Baymax is possessed so that's why he still calls him Baymax. Yeah he doesn't have the chip, but he could just as easily become Baymax once more. Not a great explanation I know, but I can't really think of how to word it xD
Could you imagine if Sora did get to keep one of the Baymaxs? The battle against the 13 Darknesses goes on forever because Baymax keeps treating their injuries after beating them.

To anyone's wondering, in thr Big Hero 6 movie, the original Baymax sacrificed itself to save Hiro by lanuching him with its rocket fist out of the dimension. The rocket fist also holds the og baymax main personality core from which Hiro used to build the 2nd Baymax.
In this game, riku replica uses the cubes to infect the og baymax to turn him into dark baymax. You can see the cube forming the demon hand which is the missing hand used as the rocket fist to save hiro.

I had rewatch the clip from the movie, when baymax sacrifice himself he’s missing both hands...
Makes perfect sense since the combat program is still in the original baymax body and with some of those nanobots it could be a dangerous threat. Perfect if they make a sequel

Pretty sure all the world's in this game that are continued are canon so this is basically a sequel to Big Hero 6

This is one of the best bosses in the game.
yeah. a great boss all around a story, design, and gameplay perspective. A detail i especially like is that one, dark Baymax's right hand is covered by cubes as callback to using his rocket gauntlet to save Hiro in the movie and two, Baymax's final rocket punch was with his left hand.

Kraken Kid no. In the movie, baymax sacrifices himself to save Hiro. As hiro was unboxing Baymax’s gauntlet, he discovered he hid his computer chip. So Hiro built Baymax a new body thanks to his brothers research.

As a former Darksouls player, I’m getting PTSD from the Purser back in DS2. Seriously, Look up an image of the Purser in a cutscene and you will see a 75% match in both body type and malevolent aura.
Me to I'm a pro dark souls gamer this vid gave me flashbacks which bout gave me a heart attack.

The villains get the good dialogue. This talk about hearts and goodness is as tiring as Twilights friendship lectures. It was still a very good game though. I loved it.

This scene was by far my favorite in the game. The emotional, yet tragic return of the original baymax is something else. Theres just really 1 mistake in this and many scenes in the game, which is sora's always kind of smiling, even in tragic or intense scenes.

I Actually Thought This Was A Sonic Forces Remake
I will say....think this shows that they did not watch the movie. The chip wasn't 'Baymax'. It was Hiro's old combat program. The real Baymax chip is already in the new Baymax body. The drama with the old Baymax would've worked if it was more about saving the old model, since Hiro's brother was the one who made it.
The concept of a heart in the series is inherent in the belief, not the item. The chip was created by Hiro and is metaphorically the other side of the heart that made Baymax complete. The version of Baymax that was revived lacks the piece that makes him whole, but he persists in the battle because he ultimately wants to regain what was his, which is why the first target he goes for isn't the good baymax, Sora or the team, but Hiro, the one that embodies the good side of what he was supposed to represent. He is everything a Heartless is without being one.

So, it looked like he was going to destroy original Baymax's heart. Then as the screen goes black, you hear a cracking sound. Visuals come back and there are now two Baymaxes (assuming one is the revived original, the other, the copy). Wtf?
I thought he was just going to kill him? How did he save him and why did the end contradict what he said just seconds before?
He has the chip of the original Baymax, the non combat chip. It's safe to assume if he has the data he can copy that data onto a new chip and therefore create a second chip.

Baymax remain intact, the memory chip/heart is the one destroyed so if you know robotics, destroying the memory data doesn't mean destroying the whole robot, it only means you erased the memory so that you could reprogram it again, not destroying the robot itself. That is why Baymax 1 is not destroyed and has been reprogrammed and now we have 2 Baymaxes. Also the one he want to be destroyed was the Dark Baymax not Baymax 1 and since Dark Baymax is there because of the Dark memory chip, he want that chip destroyed. How is that hard to understand?
The game doesn't have the balls to do that.

I just saw this on my fyp page and I knew nothing about it, so I clicked it. But then I recognized the characters from big hero 6, so I continued watching. 30 seconds in a spit out my drink from laughter because I just saw donald duck with a vicious glare, and goofy looking like he's about to nuke something.

Well because the first Baymax was made by his brother but at the end of the movie main character ( I forgot his name) took out the green chip which was responsible for his personality rather than his combat capabilities
If you have seen the movie, you will remember that at the end Baymax sacrificed itself to get Hiro back through the dimensional portal by boosting him through with his power fist. Coincidentally, Baymax also enclosed his green data drive which contained his core personality and memories inside it, which allowed Hiro to craft a duplicate of Baymax then install the green chip to bring his friend back. The 'dark' Baymax you see here is the *original* Baymax that was lost, and was brought back for this boss battle.

In the BH6 movie, The original Baymax made by Hiro's brother Tadashi sacrificed himself inside a teleportation rift to save two people. Hiro and a daughter thought dead. Then once hiro and the girl escaped the portal exploded, leaving hiro to find out there was a chip in baymax's old robot hand and for hiro to remake Baymax again. But in the game, xemnas, I think it is, used the old Baymax left forgotten and turned him into an enemy

After loosing 1st Baymax, Hiro could make the same Baymax again with the same chip. And the 2nd Baymax is exactly the same as the 1st one. The only difference between the two is, the 1st Baymax 'body' was made be Tadashi.
I still don't know even after having Baymax 2(which is actually working with the same chip, so technically the same), why Hiro is showing unnecessary sentiments to the first one. He was talking like there is no Baymax with him.
Yeah I never understood that for the KH3 adaptation.
Baymax only had 1 AI chip. All Tadashi and Hiro gave were the med knowledge and combat chip.
The combat chip never had an AI in it, since it only acted as an inhibitor on Baymax’s AI chip.
This is one of my favorite boss fight

Oh yeah, I almost forgot that there's two Baymax. The 1st one sacrificed himself and then Hiro made another Baymax.
