The Slash platform is awesome, there's lots of choices depending what your budget is. I race a Slash at a carpet track in South West Missouri and I love it. It super durable and lots of fun. Best part it was a kit and lots of fun putting it together. Thanks for the videos.

Its funny, this video couldnt be more perfectly timed. Just this week, after doing some unpacking in the new house, I found an old RC Car Action magazine from 1996 (August Issue), that had a cover story of converting an old, uncompetitive 2WD buggy, into a bashable rally car. It was a fun trip down memory lane. And, honestly, the only reason why i bought that issue of RC Car Action all those years ago...was because it had a Rally Car on the cover. A Celica ST-185 in the classic Castrol TTE livery. Was, and still is, my favorite WRC car of all time. Because if you dont like Pop-Up headlights, we cant be friends. This is not debatable, its just fact. I think its about time i make that project from 1996 happen. Thanks Adult Money!

My first RC car was a 2WD Slash, like most folks. I run it in my front yard, and jump it on a homemade adjustable ramp. I would love to work on a custom lexan body. Painting is new to me as well. Thanks for the tips. 🌻
Yea man my advice on painting is do a bunch of LIGHT coats.. don’t try to get it done in 2-3 coats, instead do a bunch like 5-10 depending on the color & paint
Cool project! How about getting some street-ish treaded tires, for less grip and add a gyro for the steeringservo, id love to see it being slided even more realistically, with less speed! :D

Looks awesome! Very akin to my Magnus Walker Porsche 911 build. I love how you equate a Slash 2wd to a proper Porsche build. I agree, 100%, rear engine, air cooled, rear wheel drive. It’s a perfect match! Great build, and I’m happy to see you really beating on it and enjoying it! I might have to build a rally Porsche now!!

saw this video a week ago, loved the idea so much i’ve picked up a second hand slash vxl and am installing the body right now, the slash is such a good platform to do whatever you want with it and this is an amazing example of that can’t wait to start doing some rallying with mine

I love it great job, I have a 4x4 with tsm a 4x4 brushed for my son, a rally with tsm a brushed rustler 2wd and last the wife’s stampeed 2wd. Love every one.

i bought the raptor slash when i was younger and just decided to get it kicking again with a full brushless system. i’ve always wanted mine to be a car but i just could never find the right body or the right suspension setup to make it look like a car this is definitely going to be my inspiration.

Just ordered the delta integrale body from the same manufacturer and plan to convert my slash 2wd as well, this video was super helpful! Unfortunately for me the rear wheel drive and rear engine mount don’t match as well as they do for the 911 build but the integrale is my dream rally car. Maybe I’ll do a 911 body at some point

Edit- so you used a 1/8 body??
I think it is technically a 1/8 body that fits well on a 1/10th scale short course truck chassis.. If you think about the size of a 911 compared to a short course truck, the 911 is significantly smaller vehicle in real life.
Traxxas drag slash has the lcg body, all you gotta do is switch the rear a arms.

I bought a second hand slash 2wd with vxl esc and castle motor I have to build this now
Have you had any issues with using the traxxas rustler talon wheels. Used the offroad set on my 2wd slash for awhile not sure if they busted my transmission or not. They look amazing though.
