    I got stuck 2 hours away from my home and your video helped me to replace my sparks plugs and coil pack that was faulty!!!! Thank you so much I would have had to taken it to someone and they probably would have charge an arm and a leg to do the work and upsell me on something else that was wrong or said well I think it’s this. So thank you for getting me home I was able to first confirm it was the coil pack and spark plugs too so thank you 🙏🏾

    Did it fix the issue with codes? Because in my case it was carbon build up on the valves that caused the misfires at start. Only way to cure it was walnut blasting.

    • @protipsplus
      @protipsplus  Před 9 měsíci

      Yes, you are correct. Direct injection will produce carbon build-up, and most vehicles will require a thorough valve and port cleaning about every 20-30k. You can increase the mileage between cleanings by using higher octane fuels, avoiding slow warm-ups and idling, and taking the vehicle on long trips.

    Great informative video. Straight forward, no BS. I cant seem to get a straight answer regarding spark plug gap for a 2019 Audi Q5. 2.0T. I have heard everything from 0.028 to 0.032 I was hoping you might say in your video. Do you know? Appreciate.

      I see what you mean. See parts.audiusa.com/p/Audi__/Spark-Plug/49449266/06K905601D.html. Assuming you will use NGKs, The spark plug gap for a 2019 Audi Q5 is 0.032".

    Just to confirm, the same process should be followed for the Q5 hybrid with the same engine, correct?

    So I have an Audi that I’m changing the spark plugs on and it seems the spark plug is hidden behind a small ledge from the metal in the inside being bent, is there a way I can remove the bracket that holds the spark plug or is it safe to try to bend it back?

    • @protipsplus
      @protipsplus  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Can you send a picture? This sounds like a simple heat shield. If so, it can be bent back into its original position.

    • @fvcecvrd3.something474
      @fvcecvrd3.something474 Před 11 měsíci

      @@protipsplus it was indeed the heat shield stuck inside, I got it out but I was stopped again by rubber protectors lol smh. I managed to change the plugs though it’s shaking now, how do I tell if the coils are in all the way? Some clips were broken

    • @protipsplus
      @protipsplus  Před 11 měsíci

      Did you torque the plugs to spec? (22 ft/lbs). See video time. 6:10.
      Broken clip TIP: You can use a small zip tie to temporarily hold the clip in place.

    Which coil was that? What cylinder

    • @protipsplus
      @protipsplus  Před 29 dny

      Cylinders are arranged 1234. Number 1 is closest to the radiator (assuming longitudinal engine, if transverse it is one the left as you are looking at the engine). Number 4 is back towards the firewall, or drivers side. The firing order is 1-3-4-2.
