So, we headed to the Philippines for the second leg of our holiday and got a plane straight to Palawan, which is home to both El Nido and Coron, we chose to visit Coron! We did two private boat tours and also tried for a group island hopping tour which was a major major fail!!! We visited Twin Lagoon, Kayangan Lake, beach 91, coral garden, skeleton wreck and a few others :)
I'd definitely suggest doing a private boat tour rather than a groupd one because you can visit much quieter places and get them to yourself, set your own schedule and also have plenty of space on the boat!!!! - Zábava
I am a Filipino guy myself but I've been a US citizen for quite sometime now. I have also served in the US Navy, and I've been to most Southeast Asia countries like Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Brunei and some of the Pacific tourist destination like Australia. I've been to OZ cities like SYDNEY, PERTH, and BRISBANE, myself...
No offense to Australians here, I love Australia, but it's way too expensive to travel and stay over there...It's like Canada (I've been there, too ! in Vancouver)... I can tell you all that nothing can ever compare to my own country as a tourist destination...it really is MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES...I respect, believe and admire all these vloggers that have chosen to stay in the Philippines.
Because they are all correct, no place in the entire world that can compare to my country.
My country is rich in natural resources, full of beautiful islands, amazing and unimaginable places, full of history, full of nice, respectful, hospitable and amazing people.
Unbelievable things that you can only see in your dream...but if you visit and stay there for some time then it will be like YOU WILL BE LIVING THAT DREAM ! And the BEST OF IT ALL, it's a LOT CHEAPER comparing to most of these Southeast Asian countries I have mentioned. Philippines really is the best place to be, if you want to experience what everybody call a....PARADISE!!

Your problem about going to Canada is that you went to Vancouver. :P You could've went anywhere else in BC and you would've had a bit of a better opinion. I do agree that the Philippines looks absolutely gorgeous though!

your advice on getting a private boat tour is on point. we also did private boat tours for 2 days in coron, packaged with a lunch buffet of seafood, veggies, etc. it was awesome! i’m glad you guys enjoyed coron as well! there’s more to see in palawan (el nido, linapacan, port barton, balabac, etc.) alone, plus 7,600+ more islands around the philippines. better extend your visa! haha!
