- We have grand plans for this van conversion, but the question is can we actually make them work? In this weeks episode we tackle one of the trickiest jobs of this build, the crawl through! We also get the box painted and back on the body, get the windows and doors in and the roof rack made. We are really pleased with the progress we are making but sometimes, actually lets be honest..... often, Jon pushes things a little too far! Join us for this next part of the journey converting this supermarket delivery van into an extreme winter campervan for epic adventures!

No idea how i found you both , ain't making a camper , hate camping and cant even build a sand castle .. but loving your banter and vids 👍
Pmsl this made me laugh out loud 😂👍
Love the banter between you two. What a fab job on the camper. Now to go back through your other builds . Don't stop doing what you do, great fun , all the best from Lancashire
Hi Dave, ah that’s lovely of you to say mate, glad it gives you a laugh 😂 💙
Sand in a rubber mallet ?? ohhhh I liked that little gem !! Tool talk Tuesdays are a must !!!
Don’t do this to me Stephen 😂🤦♀️💙
Probably lead shot not sand in the mallet.
That cab walk-through is amazing! What a clever solution. Proper skills!!!
Cheers Chris 👍
so guy I drive these home delivery vans. Honestly do your self a favour move the light bar on the back up as high as possible. The factory location below the box really affects the break over angle, I can’t count how many time work has had to fix them after it has bottom out and dragged on the road
👍 cheers mate, I’ll mount as high as I can, thanks for the help 👍
I was a Sainsburys online manager, I drove these vans for years. The first ones had a foldable dividing wall. Love watching this build, has a sentimental value for me.
Thanks very much mate 👍
I have also spent about eight years driving these vans. Can l suggest you see about improving the windshield wipers performance in snow, as the snow accumulates and pushes the blades away from the windshield. Great build. Hopefully a pre Add blue engine.❤
@@robertnightingale4101 yep pre add blue mate so all good 👍, interesting about the wipers, I’ll have to do some digging and see if there is any mods to help with that 👍
You are both so very skilled.
Thanks 😊
“ Love the use of “ brilliant!”” Good job!
😂😂 Thanks 👍
Its called a dead blow hammer, it imparts more force onto what ever you hit without more effort from the user.
Nice fact 👌👍 I sense a fellow tool enthusiast 😂😂😂!!
Another great episode. You two are such a great fun couple and your episodes are a great mix of humour & how to do. Absolutely love your channel and can’t wait for next weeks instalment.
Cheers mate, much appreciated 😁
A man, (or woman) can never have too many tools 🙂 great job so far. looking forward to the next videos.
You tell her Neil 👍 😂
Not full of sand, but lead shot. Got to love a dead blow.
This channel needs blowing up absolutely brilliant well done
Thanks Ross that’s much appreciated 👍😁
Love watching the problem solving skills and the workman(and women)ship skills. Dave Birmingham
Thanks very much Dave, that’s a really sweet thing to say 💙
Can't wait until the next one, she's coming on a treat.
Cheers mate 👍
So happy I found this channel 😊
Cheers Adam 👍
tool talk tuesdays, i cant wait !!
😆😆
😂😂👍 grinning ear to ear, Jess won’t be happy 😂😂😂
You certainly make it look easy.
The power of editing a video 😂😂😂 thanks very much tho
Just found this channel and this build, so starting to binge watch. The quality of your work is awesome
Thanks very much 😁👍
Jess and Jon, I’m loving your new build but I need more Brian 🐕 he’s so cute.

Fantastic... on all levels
Thanks very much Patrick 👍
Best thing on CZcams for me currently. Thanks! 😊
Cheers nick, lovely of you to say 💙
Just love you guys..The banter between the two of you is so funny....❤❤
Thanks Susan 😁💙
Loving this build😎
Cheers mate 👍
CZcams recommended a couple of your older videos and I enjoyed them. This one got me to subscribe. Very good content and good humour in there as well. Thanks for posting it.
Thanks very much for watching it 😁👍
It’s coming along nicely 🙂
Cheers Ivan 👍
Thats looking so professional.
Thanks John 👍
Hands down the best camper conversion I have followed. It helps having the tools, I did mine on a car park which is a Sprinter thats still going strong. I've been saying to other half about a box van conversion but she doesn't like the look of them. I am hoping this may change her mind. Keep up the good work.
Thanks so kind of you to say, thanks so much. It’s not lost on us how incredibly lucky we are to have the space and tools we do. No pressure to make it look nice then hey 😅😂
We came across your channel last weekend, and have to give credit where it is due, you two are fun to watch and are making a great job of the box van build 👌
It's a great channel, Cheer's from Milwaukee 🧀🐄
Thanks very Much 😁
Excellent workmanship. Great ideas as well.
Thanks mate 👍
I can understand the snap-on argument I have a set of 21st anniversary white handled screw drivers, Never used
😂😂😂 when u know you know hey 👍😂
Honestly you two are just amazing
Thanks very much 😁
Proper tool shed x
Thanks very much, it’s bigger than our house 😂
Looking forward to Tool Talk Tuesday!
Dave, Dave, Dave, for the love of god!! Don’t encourage him 😂😂😂💙
Love the banter 😂
Cheers mate 👍
As for roller painting. East yorkshire buses in hull roller paint all of their buses. They have done for years . They look amazing.
Incredible hey, I’m sure there will be some naysayers but hey ho 👍
Yessss tool talk Tuesday 😂
😂😂 go on gaz 👍
These videos are absolutely brilliant 👌🏻
That’s so kind of you to say, thanks ever so much Chris 💙
Love this build. Yes I'll watch the tool talk Tuesday 👍👍😁
😂😂 thanks very much 👍
Wicked post. Full on entertainment all the way through, and interesting.... of course.
Thanks very much 😁
get to Lidl for a Parkside track saw.... like £80 then get to screwfix for some tracks from evolution (2 x 1440mm, 2 clamps, carry bag) about £80....
Cheers mate I’ll have a look 👍
Outstanding vlog, please please keep them coming the banter is excellent.
Thanks very much 👍😁
Came across your Channel this morning, really enjoying watching you work, workmanship is excellent. Your pup is gorgeous, so playful. Thanks for filming the build, I’ve a Caravan Channel and understand how much work goes into making vlogs.
Cheers Colin, your so right, the 20min video doesn’t show the hours of filming and 20 takes sometimes 😂, thanks for watching 👍
"Tool Talk Tuesday" yes👍👍👍👍
Yes Stephen 👍 she will not be happy 😂
@@truebluetravellers 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Video just popped up, and i'm glad it did. Always wondered if these would make a good camper, and the answer is firmly yes! So much more room in the back than expected. Some cracking fab skills on display.
Thanks very much mark 👍
Amazed at the progress you've made in just 2 weeks! New subscriber, so defo going back for your other bulids too.
Thanks very much 😁
Another great vid. Engaging, funny and I learned stuff. Winner!
Cheers mate 👍
Tool fan here! ….looking forward to tool talk Tuesday! 😂
Good lad Chrissy boy 😁👍
So funny watching you both convert a Luton, when we did the exact same this time last year! Looks like you guys are doing a great job and we can't wait to see the end result!!! 😄
Thanks guys, yeah we watched your builds and watched K&A too, u 2 have done it the opposite way round to us, vans renos to house renos, small world hey 😁
Also ‘toshing ‘ the area that needs bonding just before you apply the panel/flashing/item you are bonding and also the area you are bonding to is a good idea
Thanks for all the tips it’s much appreciated 👍👍👍
I have a track saw! Bought it in Lidl. £80 not thousands of pounds. Parkside which are made by Grizzly.
Cheers mate someone else commented the same, I’ll have to check it out 😁
@@truebluetravellers and you can never have too many tools. "It's better to have it and not need it than not have it and need it." always my reason for having more. Works a treat.
Class channel, great to see a YT channel like this where you're both down to earth - loving the vids guys!
Thanks very much mate 👍
@@truebluetravellers p.s - I agree, a mon can never have enough tools! Interesting about sand in the mallet tho, never knew that!
Outstanding! I spent a couple of hours with paper and pencil 🤔trying to sort out a solution to putting some strength back into the cab and mating the accordion seal between box and cab. You've aced it beautifully. Well done both. God speed with the build.🙃 - Pete
Thanks Pete, that’s much appreciated 😁
I’m well up for a Tool Tip Tuesday. 👍🏼
Good man Dave 👍
Omg you two are awesome, i love your workshop, i know what you mean Jess about all the spanners 🔧 😂
Thanks very much 😁 we have to stick together Sam as I’m outnumbered on this one 🤦♀️👍
Been a mechanic for 10 years and your so right snap-on is definitely to be looked at 😉 I’ve also got one of those big spanner’s on my wall in my shed
Love it. Got to be done 👍
Incredible work folks. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for following along Isobel 😁
Stumbled across your channel and I must say loving the videos and explanation of what's happening, love the banter jess has some skills there better hold onto her not only she gorgeous but has skills too
Thanks mate, yeah I have to admit she’s a good old girl, better give her less grief I suppose…… maybe 😂
quality episode guys, loving this build👍👍👍
Thanks so much Stephen 💙 she’s coming up a treat isn’t she 😃
Come on now, while a tool related show would be quite a thing, we all know it's just another veiled attempt to buy more tools.
I'm not knocking you in any way, but I do see through ya!
:)
In all seriousness, I absolutely love the detail you go into for your tips and tools and materials you use. They're really helpful.
I know it's not ideal, but maybe an idea (if it does become a problem) for mitigating any snow or rain with that walk-through door seal is something like a length of water pipe insulator, the foam type. If you cut it to length and pop it down over the seal between the cab and the back then it'll be flexible enough to account for temperature changes in the metal. Hope you see what I mean.
😂😂😂😂🤔 I don’t quite know what u mean, me want to buy more tools 🤔 oh yeah I suppose that could be seen like that 😂😂
That’s a really good idea with the rain guard, if it is an issue that’s definitely an option to go for, thanks for that 👍
@@truebluetravellers Lol, I'm sure you have no idea about the tools - it's just me being suspicous of course ;)
Glad you liked the idea of the pipe isulation. I couldn't think of anything better that is flexible enough.
Just found the channel guys and very entertaining keep up the great work i will definitely be watching more of your stuff
Thanks very much 👍
i found the channel watched the part one lastnight was like i cant wait to watch part 2 and boom here we go it was here in my feed this morning lol 100% new sub love the content and banta
Thanks very much mate, yep we will put them out every Saturday and thanks for watching 👍😁
So cool it will look factory,
Can't wait for the next installment
Cheers Howard, that means a lot 👍😁
Lol, tools is like man's toys. U two r so funny & talented 👍👍👍 nice job.
Cheers mate, much appreciated 👍
Brilliant idea to use a freezer van, definitely going to keep tabs on your progress.
Cheers mate 👍
Slowly catching up 🙂 Tip for those roof rack uprights, rather than cut them, stick them in the drill press and use a 25mm (or whatever size tubing you are using) hole saw to drill through them, gives you a really snug fit to weld up.
Yeah I tried that last time I made one and the hole saw kept breaking teeth, I might try it again but try it on a slower speed 👍
@@truebluetravellers look for a saw with fine teeth, finer the better and a slow feed pressure - might not be a good idea with your patience level 🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂
If you think your "over compensating " with snap ons , move on to King Dick spanners or lose weight with Super Slims , my preference is Facon , last forever .Had mine since 72.
Love it ray, I love seeing the old boys tools I used to work with, one bloke I used to work with had a snap on toolbox from the 70s and still going strong
Love watching you two work together, well done its looking amazing so far such skills 🙂
Thanks very much 😁
New viewer here but it's refreshing to watch a van build done properly! So many bullds just chuck a load of pallets at an old knacker, I doubt they would get through a weighbridge! You don't wanna carry spanners in the Def you'll come back to no panels 😂
😂😂😂😂 brilliant😂, cheers mate 👍
I've just stumbled upon you two and its like a breath of fresh air, keep up the good work and please please please stay as you are 👏👍😀
What a thing to say 💙 thank you really appreciate it, don’t worry I’ve got no chance of changing that tool obsessed crocs and socks wearing pain in my ass 😂😂
Impressive!
Why thank you 😁
Jon you need to get a track saw, Cordless Rivet Gun, due to the little terror. You could also do Snapon Sunday as well as Tool Talk Tuesday. Seriously the build is coming on incredibly well and in what is no time at all. Have you consider doing Van conversion professionally and the quality of the work you both do is superb.
Cheers mate, yeeeeeessssssss for snap on Sunday😂😂 love it,
To be honest tho mate I wouldn’t want to build for other people, heard so many horror stories about people not paying etc and I love converting vans and worry if I did it for a living I would get fed up with it, but thanks for the compliment it’s much appreciated 😁
Great job guys.
Cheers Dave 👍
Tool Talk Tuesday. Make it happen
Yeah we can 💪😂👍
7:01 the light on the back isn’t a tail light or brake light, it come on when the rear step is down, to help unloading the crates during delivery. 👍
Cheers mate, yeah I’m going to keep that one too as I think it will come in handy, but there is a red one above it too, apparently it’s a brake light 👍
Only just came across your vids watching your last two. Loving it and can't wait to see it finished. Great video with a good mixture of humour and how to's. Very clever 👍
Thanks very much😁, much appreciated 👍
In the UK, we call them a `Dead Blow Hammer`, rock on Tool Talk Tuesday!
Cheers mate 👍
found you lot this morning. straight away my favourite vanlifer channel... you cunnies are fucken hilarious together! G'day from aus!
😂 most Aussie response going, love it 👍😂
Deffo up for a tool talk Tuesday, John. 👍 Although Jess is a very respectable DIYer, she just doesn't understand a man's need to buy essential tools, like the Bosch cordless rivet gun. I say buy it, your ears must be used to Jess's protestations by now. 😁 I've just noticed you have a manual silicone gun, you definitely need a Makita cordless gun, mate. Maybe that could be your Tool Talk Tuesday debut. 🤔😁
😂😂😂 good man Phil, yeah I’ve seen Bosch do a silicone gun too, it’s on my list of potential purchases 😂 maybe next week 😂
Found your channel yesterday. Love it. Great job.
Love the banter and how you take the piss out of each other in a nice way 😂
😂😂😂 cheers mate, always got to have a bit of banter hey 👍
My partner Richard Seabourne introduced me to your channel. We now watch it together. You two are so funny, love the banter between you, and love seeing your builds. We’re now watching your older vlogs 😊
Wendy is my 💪😘ing gf 😂😀
@@richardseabourne9545 😂😂😂 love it 💪
Hi gun kisser, I mean Wendy 😂😂😂 welcome to the girls with guns club 😂thanks very much for following along with us 😁💙
We men need tool talk Tuesday I love chainsaws especially cordless ones
😂😂😂 I actually have a 240v one which is surprisingly good 👍
Tool Talk Tuesday 🤠🙌
😂😂😂👍👍👍👍
Its called a dead blow hammer and its not designer to stop rebound its designed to create solid impact by providing forward inertia at Point of impact .
Its looking good you're very tool savvy , welding skills are great now you need storage under that big box with some nice cover plates and painted to make it look good by streamliningit with cab and serve a purpose , perhaps ski gear or othe items when camping . Love the build so far 😊😊👍👍
Cheers mate 👍
these videos are so good - so many good tips in here
Thanks very much 😁💙
Tool Talk Tuesday - reckon you’re on to a winner there 👌🏼 and top banter 😂
Good man, you’re defo on my tool team 👍😂 thanks mate good to hear it gives you a laugh
Just discovered your channel so have spent a wet Sunday catching up on your vlogs, really enjoying them.
That’s really lovely of you to say thanks very much 💙

Thanks very much 😁
Been following your page for a while now, brilliant work guys, top work from you both
Thanks Tom, that’s much appreciated 👍
Episode 1 of this build just randomly popped on my page. Looking forward to next weeks already. Guess I’m about to binge the rest of your channel now 😂😂
Good man Tom 👍😂 thanks for following along 😁
I don't see any problem. You can NEVER have too many tools!
Exactly sallac 👍😁😂
These builds are incredible, great to see it all coming together 👌
Cheers Tom 👍
I was wondering how you were going to do the cab for the walk-through fantastic job well done
Cheers Danny 👍 was a fun job to do

ya man welded some strucural integrity back in 🎉🥳
Great series so far guys!! Love the tool tips! Tool talk Tuesday 🔥 I’ll be there 😅😂
Cheers mate, I’ll add you to my tool team 👍😂
Great work, guys! All your builds are seriously impressive. 👍Seeing Brian chewing the air line makes me think that you could do with investing in a cordless rivet gun...
😂😂😂😂😂😂 brilliant, this is the help I need to convince her 😂👍😁
@@truebluetravellers 😀
Just started watching you guys 👌 I’ve recently moved to Australia 🇦🇺 😅
Living the dream then mate 👍
Brilliant looking build. Not jealous of the garage.. Yard space.. Lift.. Or landy rover 😮. Can't help thinking that sprinter needing lifting to look like the 4x4 variant 😊 keep it up 👌🏼
Cheers mate 👍, At first I really wanted to give it a lift and whilst I think it will look the part, practically I don’t think it would be good, it’s quite tall as it is and with the double fold out step it might make it a bit awkward to get in……… it would look good tho hey 😂😂😂🤔🤔🤔
Your craic reminds me of my folks, who celebrate their 57th wedding anniversary tomorrow and they were together 5 years before they married 😆👏
What a lovely comment 🥰, I hope me and Jon follow in your folks footsteps 😁💙
