  • The Swarovski Z5 Ballistic Turret is a great option for mid range shooting. Simply input your ballistics data into the program on their website and it will provide you with an accurate ballistic solution in which you can set your turret specifically to your desired distances.

I had my doubts but just verified my 308 out to 400yards.

I missed the part where you said what power scope this was?

I like the ability to check ballistics chart then make adjustments but even with zero at 200 you only have 300 yds more adjustment?? And trying to guess between even yardages. They are not always linear. wish it had at least two more rings.

OK, I missed the part where you took the green off and repositioned it, my bad LOL I only have the Z3 4x12x50 with the touret. shooting a 200 grain 300 Win Mag. I'm not sure how accurate their chart is, My green is 200 and it says 6 clicks from zero and that shoots low, I added an additional 3 clicks to that and now I'm dead on at 200 I also had to add a few clicks to my 300 yellow and that makes me dead on at 300. I don't have space here where I live to zero in my 400. I assume their chart is a great starting point and then adjust like I had to or should it be dead nuts on ???

  • @e-fishinseasportfishingcha7659

Why would you put the green marker on 100 yard zero ?? if your skipping right to 300, you should be putting the green marker at 300 .

Now, if you can get your animals to stay exactly at 4,5 and six hundred yards, your good 😂. It probably won’t be a problem until after 400 but there’s going to be significant drop at 450, 525 and 550.

Mine has dashes between the colors just like a normal turret. So I have 200,300,400,500 but can still dial it like a normal scope if needed. Not sure why his are all grayish/white.

@@tjames525the one in the video is just an older model, they used to sell the grey turret itself on their website and IIRC is was called “v1” or something similar

Why they went with coloured dots and not numbers is beyond my capacity to understand. I think I’m just a dummy, actually, plus I’m colour blind. Definitely someone far smarter than me came up with the idea that coloured dots are more meaningful than silly numbers like 2,3,4,5… Numbers are just part of the patriarchy… they say…
Because I’m not smart enough for a swanky swarovski… I think I will have to get a Leupold VX-5HD with the CDS turret… Its way less sophisticated in that the turret has numbers that actually mean something… and lines at each click… which is for dolts like me. Plus I don’t have any matching accessories like a watch with no numbers or ticks or a fretless base guitar.

Pretty cool. But you can do the same thing with a peice of tape and a marker.
