Possibly the best modified yet.
That is by far one of the most thought out tray builds I have ever seen in my life! And that while sacrificing some space / ease of use to make the electrical system a show case (yes, this is the gentleman that works for Andrew White and a few other Aussie 4x4 pro's)
We've seen plenty of his work in other CZcamsr's build and now get to see his own rig. Was not a disapointment.
Is that st Pierrewhite channel 4xoverland?
@@andrewedwards417 thats one of them yes
@@andrewedwards417 Yes, and Ronnie gets most of his electrical work done at his shop too. The powerbox in the back of Project Luxy is one of his designs.
"Use a fuse" is some the best advice, ever. What a cleverly and cleanly thought out rig.
That was a great modified Mr Dahl. Always a pleasure to see and listen to Heiner, smart Fella he is. "Use a fuse" are words to live by. Thanks for the content, makes my Saturday complete.
One of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet and very helpful at his business 👍
It’s one od the best modified episodes ! Hainer is a really great and also modest guy. Btw gin &tonic dialogue - awesome 😆
I've known Heiner because of one of your video Rohnny when project hilux build was on about the dusl battery system .
So I've decided to go at perth pro and buy one the national luna box with lithium battery for my prado, absolutely loved!
Heiner and the guys are real professionals in their job and gave me professional advice spending time with you understanding your needs.
Never experienced anything like it in any other shops 💯.
So once again Rohnny thank you for keeping up with this amazing contents!
And Heiner your rig is meant, very well thought set up!
Yay someone who blends with Ronnys quirky humour. Love the modified series, the electro Luxy is up the top from what I've seen so far
Like the way Klarmann works and lives, his truck reflects the order and cleaness in instalation & accesorizing!😎
Thank You for showing us this show truck!🙏
What a nice, clean and compact setup! Like you, he had a plan and some experience, and didn´t go for the extremes in all directions - but chose a few more comfortable options, and even saved a few $ on things he knew he wouldn´t use a lot. Nice!
I would appreciate if you introduced your mate properly, and left a link to his shop in the description. And you need to have a beer when you sit down at night! Camp fires might not always be smart depending on fire hazard, but beer is always safe ;)
it's all in the description ( i think Ronny added that info after upload )
This is one of your best videos for the serious Expedition/Tourer/Weekend Campers 😁👍😎
Love the mix of content. Always a joy to see rig tours! We liked a lot of what he did. But have to say the collapsible shower/dish pan was brilliant!
Mark & Teresa 🇺🇸
Hands down the most logical and though out mod yet, golden modified episode! Great stuff!
Probably one of the best set ups I’ve seen 👌🏽
Amazing build and a guy with clear ideas. Good One
Heiners Buisness: www.klarmann.com.au/
Saubere Arbeit Heiner! Wahnsinn! Super Ideen, genial umgesetzt.
Zum Glück keine Rostprobleme in Australien. 😉
Thx Ronny that you show us the top Hilux from Heiner. Amazing technical solutions.
I love it! 👍👍👍🙋🏻♂️
Best advice re the fuse install.
Awesome episode with an awesome and experienced guy, thanks
With the thumbnail, i actually thought he had twin front and rear electro motors mounted, and the engine bay filled with a huge battery pack, nice build!
Ronny is setting zies gentleman up to do his next electrical mods. Impressive! You won’t have to find camp in darkness again.
Best built to date 👌🏻
This was one of the best modified episode's to date.
Missing a lot of details, cause his car was excellent (got the same model myself 😁😁🤟)
Cheers from Norway 🇧🇻, your nabo in the north.
EXCELLENT EPISODE....Thanks for sharing 😁
Great episode mate - Thank you !
Great video Ronnie. Thought this guy looked familiar then remembered he did Andrew's install. Super insightful on multiple levels, including the right pronunciation for Blaupunkt 😜 (if you know what I mean).
Yeah... and incorrect pronunciation for plug. :-D Anyway, he's a wise guy for sure!
Best car on modified so far!
Great setup 👍👍👍
What a rig absolutely amazing setup
very sophisticated electrical setup
Waw, that's a lab on wheels. Very good ideas. I like it very much. Best Regards from Belgium, David.
So smart, practical and unique.
I am new to offloading only been doing it about a year and I have a pelican case on my RSI smart rack inside this new pelican case I store all my off-road gear from recovery straps to punch repair kit inflating and deflating system and on the lit of the box I have mounted 4 Max tracks. With the smart rack , the rack slides out and drops down to me making it extremely easy and accessible to get the recovery gear it’s plain and simple . With all the gear in one place on the box it’s protected from the sun and elements and it’s just a matter of picking up the box mounting it on the roof rack and I’m good to go and with the new pelican systems and the quick release brackets it doesn’t get any easier. It just seemed logical to me to have the gear there who knew I was ahead of the curve LOL
When you have the room and can stand the extra weight you can use a plastic beer keg pallet to shower on. It works very well.
I like this guy. Do a trip together
That would be good, they seemed to get along well!
Great work, Cloggy.
Awesome episode and awesome rig
Amazing build 👌🏽
This guy.. I was waiting for the coffee machine as one would with a set up like this but no.. he knows what really matters and has an ice maker to make G n T's, so good.
When its up in the 30's I bet the ice is pretty welcome.
Great episode
Very impressive build , nice to see a luxy again :)
Very cool build. Love the tech features.
Also love the placement of the recovery gear. Always amazed at where people put it in draws and stuff.....
Oh except the winch remote locked away, unless it's just a backup and had in cab switches?
Loving it !
I love the tray setup!!!!! Instead of the usual canopy
Yeh seems more user friendly and heaps more cost effective
Inspirational :)
How smart is this guy....
Ronny, this was a great video. I was one of the first ppl to get the EGON systems when they came up with this idea. I'm not an electrician, however, Heiner spent quite a bit of time explaining how to install it and he's a gentleman. Works perfect. Now they produced videos on how to etc. I'm on the East side of Australia, can't wait when they setup something in that part of the world. BTW, what camera are you using? Looks like FX6... Good light also with the defuser 👍 I'm a film maker and notice this nice gear
Two FX6 and a sprinkle of A7iii
This video is so well made. I wonder how many lightbulb moment Ronny has after seeing the setup?
Quite a few mate🙃
That was great Mr Ronny...please do a similar one with a ranger
This segment has become, Ronnie showcases The instant assets right off!
Would be great to have a place like Perth Pro on the east coast.
You can go up to a 285/70/17 and a 3inch lift. You will need a body mount chop but this can be engineered. If you go for some really good shocks you will not lose the drivability but will gain all the extra clearance that you desire!
I wish this guy was based near me , if he ever does a trip to Sydney / Central Coast I will book him in my car needs him in its life
Waited so long for an n70 hilux
Nice one Ronny, really good one on one 👍🏿 , which solar blanket are you guys using. Cheers
Diet tonic Ronny, no sugar.
Pretty cool and fantastic tray set up, but i still prefer overlanding and camp lightly.
Love this setup. Is there anyone in Melbourne with Hainer’s knowledge and expertise?
I like the tray setup, not the usual full@half canopy
Looks like a great setup. A lot of time and thought has been spent sorting this out. The only issue I can see is the placement of the UHF radio antennas, aren’t they to close to each other? Have you used a SWR meter ?
This guy doesn't give a sh*r and just laughs all the time! Hilarious to! Good episode!
Great video guys. I will be down to see you Heiner as soon as my Prado arrives! I'd like to learn more about the Egon box.
Question: You mentioned the alternator goes to the fuse box and then the starter battery. Do you need anything else to make sure the alternator feeds the dcdc charger before the starter battery?
Cheers, Mike
I was wondering if you would take a suggestion for your next tire on your land cruiser if yes my suggestion would be maxxis trepador radials they have the same tread design as the bias plies but have less tread on them and are a harder compound though they are just as robust as the bias plies in puncture resistance and don’t pop off bead easily
Like the dual force battery, could I put one in 90 series prado as a replacement for the second battery?🇳🇿👍
That has to be one of the better thought out setups I’ve seen . Any chance of a video on lithium batteries . As a lot of us a now I. The market on what suits best .
I know you have had the all spark and also now amptron . Be good to have a honest review on them please before we shell out our hard earned .
Ray
More modifieds!!
Really enjoyed the video one thing that made my scratch my head though he put all the recovery gear on the roof like I do it just makes sense but then he has a spare wheel under the truck that’s where I’m scratching my head.
Spare wheel on the roof would put push the roof load over capacity and would effect center of gravity in a noticeable way
@@Ronny_Dahl totally agree with that assessment however I hang mine on a swing arm on my rear bumper it makes my ass end a little heavy but it is extremely accessible so I feel it's worth the trade off. In addition by taking the wheel from the underneath you can put a much larger fuel tank which I also think is pretty cool .
When someone knows what he's doing. Nice rig.
I got really excited I thought by the title that he'd converted the Luxy to electric propulsion...
Great build anyways.
I guess the next upgrade would be to a 79 series with an auto conversion from Wholesale Automatics. However considering what needs to be done to the 79 series to make it work, I would say that the Hilux is the best option. Otherwise, I'd choose Ram 1500 for something bigger... and I did. :)
This is gentleman that works with Andrew White on the aftermarket electrical bus system, right?
Yes, and water hub.
Ronny great video, do you think that you could put in timestamps etc buddy?
done mate, had a big night so I got them in a few hours late :D
@@Ronny_Dahl We love you Ronny!!
Question about the LED lights and the radios: do you hear any RF interference on the radios when the LED lights are on?
Unless you have lots of exposed wires you shouldn’t
@@hunterbodell1129 Yes, they shouldn't, but we've found some LED light mfrs are using cheap power converters which feed broadband interference back into the power line. So, I was hoping to find out if THESE lights have the cheap power supplies or if they are well designed.
Hi there, what is you opinion about the Indian SUV Mahindra Scorpio and its suitability to convert to an Overland SUV
Wouldn’t those two bar whips suffer serious RF coupling ?
Very interested in the batteryswitch do you have some more info?
Seen his work on ASPW.
Ronny please review a 2010 mitsubishi challenger PB/PC please
Hi
Ronny! Could you find out the make of the tray and tool boxes. I would like to do this to my n70. Thanks mate!
Did u find out?
I’m now soo depressed thinking about my vehicles electrical setup ☹️
Would be great to see Luxies on patrol. Andys sense of Bavarian humour would go great with Ronnies Viking hereditary.. Top build, thanks for sharing
What's a gun doing in your trousers?
It's for protection.
Is that just the standard tray
Whereabouts did he get the accessory fuse box from? That thing is so neat and tidy!
The under bonnet one is from a 70 series.
If you are referring to the EGON DC-Hub, you can get it here: perthpro.com.au/products/egon-dc-hub-combo-kit-with-power-distribution-hub-bracket-and-cover-for-dual-battery-systems
Didn’t recognise you at the start without a hat
Rhonny no sugar in soda water but it is acidic. Dont sip it all day people.
Where do they sleep?
A thermal hub is missing.
what brand was the winch isolator please
ANBI SWITCH
Are you going to get a hand-me-down Infiniti QX? Oops. I misspelled Toyota 300. Are you going to get a Toyota 300?
use a fuse :0)
Under the bonnet rhonny? Pretty sure this is the first time I've heard you say it without making a joke about ya nanna
He sounds like a German 😜
Probably. He got Klarmann printed on the back. Maybe Austrian
Well that's because he IS German.
@@Christian76S i'm german too and i have the same accent 😜
Haha I thought it was being powered by an electric motor lol then I heard it run
hella also means brighter in German. so they must be brighter then other companies XD
Not quite. "Heller" is brighter. But phonetially the same, you're right ;-)
The real question is, how much debt is he in?
How much shit do blokes want in their cars these days lol
Maybe I haven’t seen one of these for a while but production seems a bit over the top. Seems like someone bought heaps of gear and wants to try and use every-thing/angle.
Doesn’t feel natural. 🤷🏼♂️
