- i'm not dead i just started college (FINALLY) and also have had zero ideas for new covers hence the engagement push. if you want miku or teto or literally any other vocaloid to sing something suggest it in the comments and i'll probably go for it

this originally was just gonna be a normal daisy bell cover coz i realized there aren't any miku daisy bell covers that are either A) tuned very well or B) more than just the first verse, but then i realized i couldn't find a half decent instrumental and i refuse to learn how to produce backing tracks just for this shit. so i killed miku:)

sand planet is a song, the last song made by hachi, about the vocaloid scene being dry and telling (for the lack of a better term) people to leave it.
It’s crazy that vocaloid really did get a second coming after sand planet. Even I remember, I was super duper into vocaloid my entire childhood, and I think it may have gotten buried in my childhood memories if I hadn’t gotten sand planet recommended to me one day in high school and I remembered how good vocaloid was. It sent me down a whole other rabbit hole of songs and now I’ll be here until the end. And vocaloid in general seems more popular than ever, with tickets to miku expo selling out in minutes (even if it was because of mishandling of sales and scalpers) and project sekai getting millions of players. I think proseka really did a lot to revive the community too. We’ve needed a new game and new songs and new updated designs for a long time

Why does this make me feel so bittersweet.
Because reminded of where her singing career started from, from her Grandpa always seemed to wear and making her feel like she could do anything. Many years later, she finds herself as a washed up pop star that no one loves anymore, singing a song that reminded her the whole times, and she was appreciated for her work. I don't know this thought just came quickly through my head, but it made me feel bittersweet about this cover. I don't know if that was what you're going for, but I absolutely love it

This is beautiful but also very sad if you think about it-
Let's say this is somewhere in the future.... Vocal Synths are now like androids- Producers buy them of course and use them to sing... The most popular at the time being Miku.... However as newer Vocal Synths came out and the main Vocaloids started to die down, many people started to by them over their Vocaloids.... One night a producer in particular decided to instead throw out their Miku over another vocal synth instead of selling it or something.... That Miku couldn't find anywhere to go... It was dark... Raining... The Miku was in bad shape anyways as she had been used for a few years now and hadn't had much repair... She tried to find somewhere to go but to no avail...she was growing weaker... She found a back alley and decided to sit there... The rain continued to pour onto her... Her systems were slowly failing... As she sat there excepting her fate... She chose to sing one... Last... Song...
This was the first song ever taught to her to sing.... It made her... Happy..
As she sung the song to herself...The sadder she began to sound... She knew she would shut down any moment...
Close towards the end of her song her voice began to glitch out... It was almost time.... She pushed through the glitching and continued to sing....
As she neared the end of her song her lights began to fail.... Then her voice.... And finally... As she said the last word...The light in her eyes slowly faded away....

i dunno if anyone is gonna get this but this gives me similar vibes to that really old as hell visual novel 'to the you of the future i give every song' which ends in a similar way, said visual novel being about the MC stumbling across a dumped Miku android which are popular in that universe and spends a week getting to know her as she kinda just learns to be a person in a very cute and surprisngly well written journey of self discovery and what it means to be human, however at the end of the week, a day earlier then expected, she collapses, and dies, as she was a 'trial version.' Idk if anyone else remembers it, but this gives me that same sinking feeling in my stomach when she got cut off mid-sentence and collapsed on the floor, voice glitching out until she just. shut down.
also i find it funny that the reason for said decision to make this sad was not finding a BGM so you just went welp time to kill hatsune miku awkdnawn

Well, if you want some suggestions on covers, hm, maybe vocaloid with Jack Stauber songs (like Pad Thai)? I am not sure how hard it will be to tune a vocaloid with Jack Stauber's vocal styles, but it will be interesting to see. I am also not sure if anyone has done Jack Stauber vocaloid covers before... I need to look around.
But, this cover was really pleasant to hear. Miku's english pronunciation was quite clear, it shocked me. Thanks for sharing this.

Miku looked to the right and saw a red truck run over a puddle and the water splashed miku in the face she was wet she said to herself "i want to sing again so I'll sing one more song" she sang daisy bell in her last moments. To be continued. The aftermath. hatsune miku was off because of all the rain as she was passed out a random person was walking by and saw the alleyway miku was in she picked her up and took miku home miku was at the lady's house she cleaned off miku and charged her a few minutes later she was working but miku's voicebox was broken then the lady replaced the old one with a new one miku said "i-ii can talk normally. wait. I can talk normally!!!" Miku was so happy the lady was happy to then she said "alright miku we are going to get you famous again!" So the lady and miku went to a place were she was created her creator was shocked that miku was still working he said "your still working?" Miku and the lady had a angry expression on their faces then he apologized and said "im sorry miku i won't replace i'll tell teto the news" later he came back with teto was sad she said "miku when i heard that i was going to be your replacement i was sad but im now happy that your not gone and im not your replacement" now miku's friends were told the news they were very happy. So miku isn't replaced she still perfoming to this day!! The end (this isn't actually real i just thought up not canon lore and wanted to tell everybody)
