I'm moving covers over to my main channel!!! yay!!
I thought I would remake a pretty old cover of mine that I uploaded on my second channel about a year ago now. This said cover had over 35k views, and looking back that's actually kind of embarrassing because at least to me the tuning sounds really weird LOL
I also made my own Defoko VCV the other day and it sounded a lot better than the other one I've been using (in my opinion)
It's a completely new voicebank from scratch using AquesTalk. it sounds super smooth, even if it sounds super low quality .. i think thats just her aesthetic 🥰

Originally, I did NOT want people to use this cover in choruses, compilations, as a sound for memes, etc, but since this cover has already been uploaded dozens of times on many sites (mostly TikTok) there isn’t really anything I can do about it at this point. Nobody ever asked me permission to use my cover in such content, to which I would have replied no. So all I ask is that you please do not reupload this video (fully or partially), don’t use it in choruses, and don’t use it in any compilations. I’m barring these kinds of reuploads because of the countless amount of people who have tried to reupload this cover or clips of it and pass it off as their own work, with blatant refusal to give any sort of credit to me or the modeler. You may use the audio for things like animations, dance covers, etc (things that are transformative and don’t just use the video by itself), but it is REQUIRED that you link back to the original video (this one). @@ayyce8634 I can explain. Basically, Defoko’s voice is 100% robotic. It was made from the ground up, no recording was used in the process of creating her.

@@ksenacook4279 Defoko is only made of artificial sounds. So indeed, she doesn't have a Voice Producer. But I think there must be some way to get that "radio" effect out of her voice. It already sounds very realistic with it, so without, I dare not even imagine. X)

Utau is like a free version of vocaloid. It's pretty similar to Vocaloid but it's less updated and not very "professional". Like how Miku and Len are Vocaloids, Teto and Defoko are Utauloids. I hope this helped🥰

Idk how you varied the breathiness/softness so smoothly in the bridge, but that was flawless-- maybe it was the fact that she already has a distorted sound so the wheezing static sound UTAU makes with increased breathiness wasn't noticeable... ALSO HOLY SHIT THAT GROWL WAS SO GOOD!!!? It sounded way more natural than so many other vocaloid/utau attempts at putting a growl on that note!! Well done!

Honestly I love Defoko's voice. Yes, It's low quality and sounds like she's speaking while trapped in a dryer but it just sounds unique, like her voice is being played on an old recording tape which I adore. So at 2:59 when I tell you I screamed. I screamed.

Everyone says that Len and Teto have the best growls, and that's fine; but in my opinion, neither Len nor Teto can hold a candle to Defoko. Her growl is just... *gourmet chef kiss* and her voice just goes so darn well with the song... Like... AAAAAAA

There's just something about this cover. All other covers feel like a plea for help, or a message of anger towards someone, but this one? It feels like a final message. "Hey, mayday, expose me for what I really am, for this world is about to meet its end."
It's a message of "Look what happened to me."
To me it's an explosion of anger, but directed at oneself.

This randomly popped on my suggestions and I'm very glad. The other growls are good but feel kinda random, but this one sounds way more natural. Like the high note builds up in a perfect growl, the transition from the belting voice to the growl is so smooth. Also I love how Defoko's voice sound so clear in here, it sound like an actual person singing through an old mic. This is my favourite version of ghost rule now 🥰
